The English idiom ""put the pedal to the metal"", is used to describe the act of exerting maximum effort. I couldn't think of a more appropriate description for the work Antheia did on my colleague's Birthday arrangement - a gorgeous combination of peach Calla Lilies, pink Casablancas, blush-colored Roses and a variety of seasonal foliage. I wanted something custom, as opposed to generic, and it seemed as though area florists were peddling the same lackluster FTD bouquets in wholesale vases. Some were even more expensive than what I'd purchased, which I found to be absolutely ridiculous. Antheia is exceptional! There's no better way to describe their work. By far the best florist in all of Jersey City while giving some boutique shops in Manhattan a run for their money. I just had my wedding this past October, and we used Antheia. It was one of the best decisions for the wedding we made and I can't express enough how amazing they were!! I worked a lot with Lani and she was so patient and flexible with me, with the scheduling and with the budget. I gave her a number and she nailed it! We couldn't be happier with the service we received and the people we worked with...not to mention the gorgeous flowers!!! They gave us such a unique and beautiful look abnd our guest were talking about the how beautiful the arrangements were for days following! It made our day so much more beautiful and they definetly went above and beyond for us. I look forward to using them in the future. Five stars for sure! Antheia florist did an excellent job with the flowers for my wedding. I was a bride on a budget and they made my flowers more beautiful then I could imagine. As a former event planner who has dealt with many high profile events that have been featured in magazines and newspapers, I didn't want the same old same old for our wedding nor did I have an over the top budget ...Angie and Lani created a whimsical, garden in the atrium where we were married...Angie spent months collecting 'artware---glassware' as part of our green and yellow color-scheme and helped to design a garden like environment for the escort cards...Our guests left that night with many gifts, including a mint plant that now, 4 months later, continues to grow and bud for all of our guests. We took 8 of the 'kitschy' glassware items home and they are prominently displayed in our window sill, a permanent memory of a truly stupendous evening. Having worked with the most popular 'stuffy New York City florists in the past,' I was extremely impressed with the great care, detail, personalized attention and out of the box-thinking of the folks at Antheia--Bravo!! I first noticed the window display, and walking in and having them design my wedding arrangements was the best decision I ever could have made. The staff is lovely; they really take the time to get to know your personality and create a look that fits your vision. They are always there to listen and suggest ideas; and I received so many compliments about my offbeat bouquet and the bridesmaids adored the personal touches they added. After seeing centerpieces made by them at my company's event,I booked Antheia for my wedding. Since my wedding, I have not stopped receiving compliments from my guests. From the first consultation, till my wedding day, I felt as though I receiving impeccable treatment. The designers are unbelievably creative and talented. My only complaint is their prices are competitve with NYC prices, if you know what I mean. In the end, it was worth it because I received exactly what I wanted, excellent service, and absolutely no stress. I look forward to receiving flowers from them on birthdays, anniversaries, the birth of my first child, and any time anyone wants a reason to grace me with gorgeous flowers. From start to finish our experience working with Angie was wonderful. One of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding is wondering what everything is actually going to look like in the end. So many of my friends spent so much time picking out exactly what they wanted and explaining it to their florists and they still didnt get it right in the end! All we had to do was explain to Angie what we wanted, what type of feeling we wanted to give our guests and she nailed it right on the head! When the big day finally came, the service was great and the flowers looked unbelievable! Friends and family who attended our wedding are still raving about our flowers- I highly recommend Antheia to any bride and groom...planning a wedding is stressful enough, at least you'll know your flowers are in good hands! more

You would think that such a business would value their customers and have a better level of customer service (especially when it comes to WEDDINGS), but we were wrong on this one. Maybe if you had a HUGE budget to work with, the quality of service would have been different..... Lack of organization, poor communication skills and PETTINESS is what we couldn't deal with.. not to mention wrong flower arrangement and stress!!! more

It wasn't my wedding, but a friend of mine used them.....and I heard they got to the location an HOUR before the ceremony......and as far as I could tell, they did minimal work and than charged my friend for extra labor?? I'm only commenting on this......cause I even pitched in with some ppl and set the items exactly where they needed to be put up.......and all she did was put them up as agreed........what extra labor??! I should be charging than, since I did the labor........ more
