Antanesian, Vahe, Dds - Dental Center Of Simi Valley

Unlike the other jay person's experience in the privious comment made, my experience was excellent at Dr. Antanesian's office. I have lived in simi valley most my life and been to many dental offices and clinics. His office was one of the offices that was the most efficient. they did ask me in the operatory as soon as I got in the office sat me down and took x rays. He did a through examination of my teeth and informed me that I have no cavities and I only needed a regular cleaning. The privious dental office told me I needed 5000.00 dollars worth of cleaning and cosmetic work and I need two implants that would cost me7000.00 dollars. I have been trying to find a dental office with reasonable fees for implants so I can offord placing two implants. That is when Dr. Antanesian informed me that he can actually place the two implants and place the crowns on my two implants for 3500 dollars for both my missing teeth. I was amazed to learn that there are still dental offices that do care for the patient so much. They even helped me to apply for financing and I was approved for the amount. Let me tell you about my experience on the day of surgery for placing the implants. I was in and out of Dr. Antanesian's office in an hour. he numbed me totally,placed the implants and gave me a through explanation of how to take care of the implants. Since he has placed two crowns on my implants and I am able to eat my food and chew on them just like my own teeth. I did not have any discomfort after the surgery and I was amazed how easy it was to have implants done by Dr. Antanesian. I had heard horror stories about implant placment but my experience was nothing like what I had heard before in Dr. Antanesian's office. \r Thank you Dr. Antanesian and I will definitely recommend my friends and family to you for their dental care. I wish I had found him years ago so that I would not have lost my teeth. But now I have my teeth back and can chew normally thank you again Dr. Ananesian. more

I went in for a cleaning and was told that I had 5 cavities. The Dr. told me that I had 4 small ones and one larger one. I had him fill 3 cavities on one side, while filling, he had to walk his assistant through putting the 'filler' in the right place on his tool. That made me nervous. Ever since the day I went to this place, my mouth has never been the same. Everyday I have been in pain and cannot drink room temperature water without feeling pain. When I had a follow up visit, he went straight for the large cavity and said that I may have to have a root cannel. The thing was, that tooth never gave me pain and fills like it was done correctly. my 'SMALLER' cavity that he worked on is the one in pain. VERY DISCOURAGING THAT THE DR WOULD RECOMMEND ROOT CANNEL AFTER A VERY SMALL CAVITY. Why would I want him to continue his work when my mouth has been in extreme pain from a simple cavity fill? It was done incorrectly. Very small, very unhappy. I will be going to my old Dr who is 45 mins away. ALSO, my first visit i was very rushed, I filled my paper work in my dental chair as they looked at my teeth. They threw paper work at my, had me quickly sign them, and had tried to up sell me on deep cleaning. Very uncomfortable and uneasy. Would not recommend him to anyone. more

I have been successful to contact many sites and since they have removed these comments since they originate from the same IP address. This company will make promises to make you smile, But they will do nothing but overcharge you and do shabby work by unprofessionals, under qualified people. Good luck trying to get your money back for work not completed. They finance you thru GE money bank and never offer refunds. This company ripped me off for over $5, 000 and has ruined my credit because I refuse to pay the balance. They never did the work and what they tried to do was so sudstandard and poor quality I Did not accept it. Talking to office manager Sandra also gets you now were. I have pictures if anyone want to see shabby work. Not even good enough for a dog. RIP OFFs is all I can say Dr Antanesian. more

Dr Antanesian is the worst dentist I've ever been to or heard of in my life. They removed all of my niece’s previous fillings even though they didn't need to be replaced. He was keep repeating about mercury and harm to my body he did this because he didn’t find any cavity on my teeth so in order for him to get some money he redid my teeth filling and charged each one $280.00 please don’t listen to his speech of mercury he is full of act he should quit dentistry and star his acting business he is so good on manipulating people.\r more

please do yourself and your teeth a favor and find a diiferent dentist Dr Antanesian looked at my private insurance maximums and developed disease states from there I was diagnosed with horrible periodontal disease that required a total of 12 visits costing $3000 worth of care and 6 office visits I got a second opinin at one of most reputable dentist and was told I was in wonderful dental health a mere 5 days later this man has the WORST bedside manner I have ever encountered he coughed in my open mouth while he had an instrument deep into my gums gashing it open . more

Rip Off, really dental center of simi valley is worse then a damn car dealer ship if you ask me! My husband went in for his routine cleaning, at 11 and left at 1:30! They took FOR -EV-ER! And at the end told nonchalantly told him he needed 6 of his teeth to be bonded, $700 and his insurance didn't cover it. \r I called our insurance that night, they said that they were probably trying to rip us off, and they said nothing about procedure codes (which a good dentist would do...) so we got a 2nd opinion and they said that that was a crock, and his teeth were fine, they explained everything, were much nice and quit efficient! This guy operates like a used car dealer. He is listed in my insurance booklet and he won't do the work as listed in the evidence of coverage. He insists on performing more expensive work instead\r dont even think about this office as dental office\r more

I needed a dentist... my family recommended Dr. Antanesian. \r They really take the time to look for any problems and make suggestions about ways to better take care of your teeth. The office is very clean and they are always on time. \r \r I've been very happy with my results and experience. \r more

I live in Maryland and had been getting my dental work done in-state for many years. I found out about Dr.Antanesian from a friend in Simi Valley after I had a tooth problem on a business trip to California. Dr. Antanesian and his practice are extremely professional. His dental work is top notch. I continue to visit Dr. Antanesians office for dental care when i visit California every six months. I highly recommend Dr. Antanesian for the people of Simi Valley. more

I recently went to the dental center of Simmy Valley and had an exam done. I would say it was one of the best experiences I have had in a dental office. First of all, my appointment time was respected and I was sited immediately. The office staff were very nice and the Dr. was very clear on his proposed treatment. He gave me options and for the first time I thought I was the one deciding. The prices were fair compare to other Drs I had tried in the area. I would definitely recommend this office if you are looking for a private dental office in the area. Pros: good prices, respect your time, always available. Cons: I cant think of one more

\r \r During my first dental appointment, Dr. Antanesian notify me that I had a crown that was chipped. I told him I alreadty knew about it. He informed me if I would desire to replace it I could, but there was no cavities on the crown. Further he explained that core part of the crown which is metal is still intact and only the porcelain part was chipped. I showed interest in what would involve in replacing the crown since it was bugging me. He explained throughly what my insurance covers and what optional material I could get for extra charge. Not only he explained everything relating to different material in a very indepth manner but also he and his staff didn't make it sound like I was going to loose my tooth if I didn't do the crown right away. I told him the money was a bit tight and I would get back to them on this treatment. My next appointment which was 6 months later in late november of 2005 I decided to do the porcelain fused to yellow gold crown since it looks better and lasts much longer. The difference was only 400 dollars and I chose a better crown after Dr. Antanesian showed me pictures and actual crowns and pointed out the differences of two crowns. He also informed me another type of metal free crown called Zerconia that was way out of my budget. I am glad we found Dr. Antanesian's office. He gives his patients so many options and chocies.That in itself tells me he cares for his community members and isn't out there to just take your money and run unlike the big corperations do these days. Mind you I have an HMO plan that doesn't pay much to dental office for our regular appointments. We always get our desired appointment hours with Dr. Antanesian and His office staff and He never make us feel that we have a bad insurance since it is an HMO. I never had to wait more than a minute before I found myself being directed to the operatory for the appointment unlike one of the comments I saw elsewhere. \r Pros: always on time, very clean , explains the procedures and fees involved very well Cons: a bit far from my house but it is ok more

I usually don't write reviews, but after reading these absolute untrue and unfair reviews regarding Dr. Antanesian and his crew at Dental Center of Simi Valley, I felt obligated to post my experience at this dental office. Dr. Antanesian has been taking care of my teeth for several years now, he's always been professional, courteous, and honest with me and anyone I've ever refer to him. More importantly, Dr. Antanesian is an excellent dentist, he takes pride in procedures he performs and makes sure that he provides the best care for every patient. I've never had a negative experience at this dental office and neither has anyone I've refer to them more

Two years ago I had a bad accident where I lost most of my front teeth in a bicycle accident. I went to Dr antanesian for numerious visit. Everytime I was there I hardly waited less than a minute for my appointment. I don't know what these people are talking about. I had very pleasent experince in his offioce. Even after two years I still get compliments on my teeth. they feel very comfortable and natural. I have referred many of my family members and co workers and they all have great things to say about his dental office. I would highly recommand him. He is very knowlegable in all accpects of dentistry. He performed many procedures on me to restore my mouth with a very little discomfort almost non existing. more

My visit to Dental center of simi valley was like a visit to a used car dealer. They kept trying to sell stuff to me that I didn't need. \r My dental insurance covers exam and cleaning, but they said that since I didn't have my teeth cleaned in 2 years, I would need special ""deep"" cleaning which is not covered by insurance. It's funny because when I had my teeth cleaned 2 years ago, it had been almost 3 years since I went to the dentist. The dentist 2 years ago didn't charge me any extra for cleaning. Then they tried to sell me some kind of veneers. Although I didn't have any cavities, they pointed to some lines on my teeth and told me that those would become cavities. I've always had those lines on my teeth.Then they said I needed a special toothbrush and tried to sell that to me.I later spoke to a colleage of mine who went there a couple of years ago, and he had the exact same experience. Overall, Dental center of simi valley are a bunch of crooks. I didn't purchase any of the things they were trying to sell.\r \r more
