Do not take your fur babies to the island pet resort. Description:In March, we took a tour of the place. the 1st girl quoted us prices. I asked about the rooms up front. She told us $27 a day. Figuring my dog is 11 I thought she would be less stressed. I told her my dog was 56 lbs. & she said it would be fine. Beginning of May, I came back in & paid so I wouldn't have to worry about it. I told 2nd girl my dog was 56 lbs. & she said it was okay. On Tues, May 23 I brought my dog in, set up her room, & made sure my scent was all over the room. I brought it 3 bags of treats. I told the 3rd gal I'd call everyday to check on her. 1st 2 days nobody answered the phones. 3rd day a girl answered & couldn't find my dog. Took her 25 minutes. I had my nephew go check on her & he said she had been moved back to one of the cheaper rooms. The girl told me her manager was on vacation & had no idea why she was back there. I asked for her to call me & no call. On Thurs, June 1st, I called & manager was there. 1st she said my dog was too big. Then she said she was too loud. 3rd, she said someone else had reserved the room. My wife asked why she was being rude when we paid $280 for them to watch our child. She told my wife she was being rude & that she didn't stutter. My mo-in-law also stated she wasn't acting like herself until she got home. My wife went in 6/12 to get a refund and the bones back but was told she didn't know how to do a refund and didn't know where the bones were. We went back in June 8 and her and the groomer were rude. she lied saying she put our dog back there herself when she and her workers clearly stated she was on vacation. Her worker had given our dog treats out to other dogs. She did refund us the $27 for the missing night and $18 for the missing dog treats back but did not refund us any further. I have the whole conversation recorded so you can hear her and her groomer screaming at us. Very unprofessional.
