Annie Gunn's Restaurant

This is probably one of the best restaurants in the St. Louis area. They are known for their steaks, which have never disappointed me. They also have very fresh seafood, which is impressive in the Midwest! The last time I went I had roast chicken in a delectable sauce with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My food also came with a side salad. My husband had a fillet which also came with the same sides. The food was wonderful, although expensive, and we will definitely be back. The atmosphere is great, but very crowded because of the small space. The bar is always packed with people waiting for tables, which of only 1/2 of the restaurants tables are available for reservation. Parking is tight as well, and I often see cars parked on the side of the road at peak times. more

Have you ever had meatloaf that tasted like steak? That's exactly what you get at Annie Gunn's. It;s definitely not your mom's meatloaf -- unless your mom knew how to make it taste like a mouth-watering filet. In addition, they have a good selection of tasty, well-prepared appetizers and just about everything on the menu is delicious -- aside from the meatloaf. It can be hard to get a table and it gets pricey at dinner but it's a great place to get a have a hearty lunch on a cold day. more

This is a very nice place to eat at . They have a very large menu and serve anything and everything . You can order a steak or a burger or chicken one main thing I did not like was it was very high in price. This is more of a special occasion place to go most dinners started at $15 and that is just starting many more are much higher than that.The service was very good. She was over all the time filling our drinks and seeing if we needed anything.But the food was very high for as little as you get.the portions were not very large at all Nice place for a special night out not on a regular basis though more

If you are looking for a nice night out sans kiddos... Annie Gunns might just be the place! The first to rebuild after the big floods, Annies is an oasis in a sea of chain restaurant mess that makes up the St. Peters/Chesterfield areas of Missouri. Their food is lovingly prepared by a chef team who throughly researches the origin of each ingredient and the descriptions show that loving care. I had the scallops as well as a salad (which, overall could have used more dressing) and a wonderful chocolate torte for dessert. The cheese plate is impressive as is the homemade sourdough bread and Irish Butter! more
