I am very surprised at the bad review I read about Dolce's Salon because I have been there numerous times with my children and have always gotten excellent haircuts on them and myself. The staff at Dolce's is very experienced, The owner Anna, has 46 years of experience. Dolce's prices are competitive with all the Salons in Brentwood. more

I don't recommend Dolce's. We saw a sign outside the salon that said ""Back to School Savings, ask Anna!"" So we went in and asked for Anna and told her we saw the school savings sign and he needed a haircut. Anna did a terrible job on my 12 year old sons hair. The cut was blunt and not blended at all, the sides were uneven and she cut it 2 inches shorter than I had asked for. She seemed upset when I asked her to even the back up and told me she didn't want to cut it any shorter! Both sides were shorter than I asked, but I at least need them to be even on both sides. My son cried because the first day of school was the next day and his hair looked like his little brother cut it in his sleep. The children's haircut cost $25 and when I reminded her that we had seen the back to school savings sign we told her about when we came in she told us that did not apply to boys haircuts. That would have been nice of her to tell us when we came in! The whole experience was a disaster like my sons poor hair. Stay far away from Dolce's, calling it a salon is a stretch by far. The stylist had no experience cutting hair. more

Great Salon and Service! I've lived in Nashville for almost 6 years, and have tried various salons/walk in salons and have left unhappy with the results & a terrible haircut. I found Dolce's Salon in Brentwood and am now a regular customer. Anna, the owner is wonderful. She has been a stylist for many years so has a lot of experience and knowledge. She listens to what you are looking for and is sure you leave a happy customer. I am VERY PICKY as I am very specific in what I'm looking for with my cut and highlights. Before I moved to Nashville, I had the same stylist my whole life, so was a little nervous in taking ANOTHER risk to find someone new. Now I won't go anywhere else. Pleasant Staff as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! more

Anna Walker owns Dolce's Salon. I have gone some of the best around Nashville and paid hundreds of dollars. No one cuts short hair better than Anna! Anna tell you like it is and if she doesn't agree with you (she always says I like my bangs too short) she is usually right! Anna is also wonderful with color. I always get wonderful compliments on my hair and it is because of Anna Walker.\r \r Love her!!!! more

After over 40 years of having long hair and styling my own hair, I know what I want. That is--a great haircut that is easy to fix each morning. I am very particular about my haircuts, and even more so about my styling. Anna Walker is absolutely the best at what she does! This lady can definently cut and style hair. She takes absolute pride in what she does and is very knowledgeable about what is trendy and in fashion. She has the skills, experience and fashion sense to accommodate any hair type. I'm a brunette with long hair and I was wanting short hair, and I want my haircut to be sporty and trendy. Anna is a great listener, she can solve any hair style problem, and will make you look fabulous. Over many years I have been through many salons and stylists. I want to be treated well, and while at Dolce's-- I felt that I was. I was looking for a stylist that prides herself for technique and skill over cute, friendly, funny, etc. every time. I feel so relaxed here. No ridiculous rules--like no customer can blow dry their own hair. Anna lets me do my own thing, but she is a true master with those scissors! I am certain that I will return to Anna. I feel that I have found the perfect salon and stylist for me and what I desire. more

Bad Haircut 1/21/2012

I went to Dolce's yesterday for a cut and color. Angie did my hair and although the color was fine, she did a terrible job on the haircut. I specifically told her I was growing the layers out. She didn't listen and cut my hair in layers, some very short. Now it will take months for my hair to recover. Since it was my first time there, the cut (butcher job) was free as the owner told me. I will not go back. more

WARNING, OWNER LACKS INTEGRITY, DON'T GO HERE 1/12/2012

Went to Dolce's salon today to use my groupon. Told them in advance I only had two hours. Had to get my kids from preschool. Young girl did my hair and it turned out really terrible. Literally bright, neonish yellow instead of blonde. I needed my roots touched up and a partial foil - no dramatic color change. She was super nice and it upset her. I was obviously shocked, but did not make a scene as I did not want to embarrass her or hurt her feelings. Told her that several times. She immediately offered to fix it, but knew I had to leave right then to get my kids. I told her I did not want to pay the full price (groupon + extra cash) until it was fixed. Owner said I had to pay so I did and left. Asked them if they had a hat that I could use to go get my kids because literally I looked like a cartoon character, but they did not.\r \r Also, please note that while I was sitting in the chair getting worked on, the owner walked by and asked her what she was putting on my hair in a funny, questioning tone. Stylist said ""it's just..."" something I didn't understand and owner moved on. I guess this should have been a warning to me! \r \r My husband was apalled that they made me pay given what I looked like so he called to ask for our money back. The owner said that my hair looked that way when I came in, which is just a blatant lie. Um, I had brown roots, not neon yellow ones! I have photos from just a few days ago that prove that is not true. In addition, about 20 people at my kids school saw me drop off & pick up! I told them where I got it done and they were shocked! \r \r I totally understand that mistakes happen, but for the owner to lie about it and blame the customer is just not OK! I would highly recommend that the sweet young girl that did my hair find another place to work. She deserves better and so do her customers! Please don't go here, you may have a good experience, but if you don't you are OUT OF LUCK!! more

Anna Walker is absolutely the best! This lady can flat cut hair. She has the knowledge, skills, and experience to accommodate any hair type. I'm a redhead with short hair, and I want my haircuts the same each time. Anna is a great listener, hair style problem solver, and will make it happen. Over many years I have been through many salons and stylists. I want to be treated well, and I am at Dolce's-- but give me that technique and skill over cute, friendly, funny, etc. every time. I feel so relazed here. No ridiculous rules--like no customer can blow dry their own hair. Anna lets me do my own thing, but she is a true master with those scissors! more

warning to Groupon customers 4/19/2011

I bought a Groupon coupon for Dolce's Salon last summer. I called to make an appointment last fall (first of October) for a manicure and pedicure and I was told there were a limited number of spaces in their schedule for Groupon coupon holders and they were booked until January. In January I called again and got voicemail. I left a message, but no one returned my call. I tried again 2 - 3 weeks later and still no return call. In March I went to the ""contact us"" page of their website and filled in all the information. No one emailed or called back. 2 - 3 weeks later same thing. Today I finally talked to someone and when I told them I wanted a manicure and pedicure they said I would have to talk directly to the manicurist that she made all her own appointments but she was not in today. He took my number and said he would have her call which she did this evening. She told me she could not honor Groupon coupons because when they advertised on Groupon it was for the Cool Springs location (the coupon does not say that) which is now closed and the owner will not pay her for any manicures or pedicures she gives to Groupon customers. I emailed Groupon asking for a refund and within an hour they did so. I will tell everyone I know to steer clear of Dolce's. This is very very poor customer service and I would not be surprised to hear they go out of business. more

Day at the spa! 2/22/2011

For the last three almost four years Angie Absher has been my stylist. I have followed her from color salons. And this one is my favorite! The inside of the salon is stunning and trendy. Ive stayed loyal to Angie for so long because she is an amazing stylist not only is she coming up with great new trendy colors and cut she actually cares about me. She teaches me things I didn't know about my hair and shows me how to care for my hair at home! Shes very personable and caring! And that is hard to find! I drive an hour and a half to get my hair done every 2 months! She even sends Chrismas, Birthday, and coupon cards. If your looking for an amazing new stylist to help you acheive your look shes the girl for you! After all she makes it apparent how passionate she is about hair, and has a way of making you even more passionate about YOUR own hair. It is great atmosphere and away to make a new friend whos biggest intrest is you and your hair! more

Very Disappointed 12/22/2010

I am surprised that I had such a bad experience when I see there are many good reviews. I've been to many upscale salons over the years, and this is the first one I've been to that I could have confused with a Supercuts. My hair was cut and highlighted by the owner of the Salon, Anna Walker, and she was very unprofessional! I felt like either she wasn't listening to what I was asking for or she didn't understand. When she did the highlights, she had me hold the foil and hand it to her as she went along. I've never had a stylist have me ""assist"" with doing my highlights before. When she washed my hair after the highlights, she kept spraying water in my ears (I don't believe this was intentional, but again, I've never had this happen before, and it was annoying). Then, after she cut my hair, she said it was best to let it air dry. What!? It's freezing outside, and she wants me to go out with sopping wet hair. I've never been to a salon that didn't dry and style my hair after a cut! So, I asked her if she could dry it since it was cold outside. I have curly hair, and she said she didn't have a diffuser. What hair stylist doesn't have a diffuser!? So, I asked her if another stylist there had one she could borrow to do my hair. (I shouldn't have had to suggest this to her - she should have volunteered it.) She went and found one, but it didn't fit on her hair dryer, so she just started drying and fluffing my hair without it. By the end it was a frizzy mess. Truly terrible! So, I asked her to wet it again so I could just go home and style it myself. I left with dripping wet hair. Also, she kept trying to get me to spend more on full highlights when I only wanted partial, and acted weird when I asserted that I only wanted partial. She said partial highlights won't look as good, but she'll ""try"" to make it good. It was awful service. I've never had service this bad at a salon that charged me $175 in the end for cut and partial highlights. more

Ripped Off & Unhappy with Result 11/12/2010

I had a terrible experience at Dolce's. I purchased their Groupon over the summer and was hoping to save some money by doing so. When I came in for my appointment with the owner, Anna, it was apparent that she was double-booked. She was woking on another woman's hair and mine at the same time. I am blonde and I told her that I wanted to go a little darker for the fall/winter, but not brown. She proceeded to dye my hair brown despite what I had said, and when I told her it was too dark, she said she would add some highlights. Because I figured this was her fixing the issue, I assumed she would not charge me for the highlights. I was WRONG. Not only did she charge me for the highlights, but also a deep condition and style that I didn't ask for--She said she just wanted to see what it would look like when dry. Overall, I ended up spending TWICE what I normally would on my hair. (Not to mention she had her son rinse my hair and he had never done so before. Incredibly awkward and uncomfortable). I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO ANYONE. Please think twice before scheduling an appointment. more

Have a haircut in mind when you go! 8/11/2010

I went here to use a Groupon and was ready for some pampering and a good haircut. Unfortunately I had no idea of what style I wanted for my haircut. I got a mani-pedi first and was not impressed. This is the only experience I have had when the lady had to clean off the polish she got on my fingers when she was done. She also reassured me the guy who would cut my hair was ""full of ideas"". When it came time to cut my hair, he just told me the latest trend was to let your hair grow out as long as possible, which is what I had already done and was sick of. His only suggestion: a blunt cut, no layers. You seriously charge people $50 for this?? I refused and it was not long before he employed the internet for assistance! I left without getting a haircut and instead making an appointment to come back a week later. That same day I went to Heads Up in Green Hills and got a really cute cut. Sorry, but if you can't do better than Heads Up, you should charge less or just quit. I would not reccomend this salon to any of my friends. more

Bad Stylist 12/30/2009

I went in to get a cut because my regular hair stylist is pretty expensive and since Christmas I've had to cut back on some things. I found Dolce's and made an appointment. The stylist and I talked about going a little shorter or keeping it long. My hair was past my chest and didn't have any dead ends or anything. We decided to keep it long so just trim it up a bit. After the shampoo she started in the back cutting my hair. As she moved to the front I noticed how short she had gone but hid my fears. It was too late anyways! She had cut over seven inches of my hair off. My hair is now to my chin and looks awful and choppy. Before I had long wavy hair which I loved. I will never go back to this salon and want to warn you all. Even when discussing how I wear my hair I said almost always wavy. Now if I were to wear it wavy it will be up to my ear lobes....and she blow dried it straight. .not how I wear it!!! Will take forever to grow it out to a decent length and have it shaped better and not as choppy. Don't go here or make sure they at least listen (not hear), but listen to what you really want done. Pros: close to where I live Cons: Really bad hair stylists who don't listen more

I had so much fun going to Dolces and getting my hair done. I highly recommend Dolces Salon to anyone needing ANYTHING done with their hair. All of the stylist were so sweet. Thank You Dolces!!!! Pros: wonderful! more

WOW 10/8/2009

I was eating lunch next door to Dolces and a beautiful young girl was eating outside and I could tell she was a hair stylist by her smock....I asked where she worked and she said next door at Dolces. I walked next door with her after lunch and scheduled an appointment.....and man....I am so glad i did!!!! Grace gave me an amazing haircut. I will also ad that the entire experience was fun and the other stylist working were soooo sweet! Pros: fun, young, trendy stylist more

OWNER WONT PAY HER STYLISTS 9/14/2009

I RECENTLY WORKED FOR ANNA WALKER FOR THE SECOND TIME, AFTER BEING BEGGED AND PLEADED WITH ABOUT WORKING AND HELPING HER RUN HER TWO SALONS SINCE ONE OF THEM WAS FAILING MISERABLY, COOL SPRINGS LOCATION... SHE WAS RUNNING GROUPON SPECIALS THAT SHE HAD SOLD ONLINE (ANOTHER ONE OF HER SCAMS) TELLIN MYSELF ALONG W/ HER OTHER STYLIST THAT WE WOULD GET PAID FOR THEM, NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAD TO QUIT ANNA WALKER FOR THE SECOND TIME, AFTER LEAVING SHE STILL OWES ME $400.00 FOR SERVICES I RENDERED AND PAY FOR RUNNING A POOR SALON THAT WAS FAILING WORSE THAN HER TALENTS. SO IF YOU WANNA GO SOMEWHERE TO WHERE YOU ARE PAYING FOR YOUR SERVICE TO A STYLIST WHO IS BEING WORKED LIKE ANNA USE TO IN THE DITCHES OF EL SAVADOR THEN GO RIGHT AHEAD, ITS MY RIGHT TO PUT IT OUT THERE ABOUT HOW I WAS LEFT HIGH AND DRY, BROKE AND LIKE A JOKE, SO NOW YOU KNOW~! THESE STYLIST I KNOW PERSONALLY AND THEY DO A DAMN GOOD JOB BUT ARE TREATED LIKE SH*T, AND GETTIN RIPPED OFF EACH TIME ** JUST REMEMBER THAT ** Pros: Better Salon, Better Service, & Wonderful Owner more

WOW.... 9/7/2009

I'M graying. so fast. Tammie created the perfect blend of color for me. She called it VISOR lights- you cant tell where one color starts and the other ends... I thought the pricing was going to be over the top but it wasnt....I'll be able to keep this up without breaking my budget. I have sent two of my best friends in to her already- cant wait to see their new look. Tammie was able to accomadate me with a late evening appointment , which means so much being a new mom. She has 27 years experience....I have complete trust in her. Her honesty and creativity really shines. thank you Tammie my family will be suporting your business. Pros: The experience was vantastic.
