Somebody bought a Pomeranian there about 1 year ago, turned out to be mixed. The documents you sign say ""Pure bred to the BEST of our knowledge""... I will never buy from them again. There are so many things wrong with him as far as body size, and coat go. Took him to the vet and even the vet says he looks mixed. NEVER AGAIN. more

the owner of Animal Kingdom must of approved of allowing them to pay for a service to write phony reviews on here - the reviews written in positive are mirroring other comments on other business listings, pretending they are writing comments specifically about Animal Kingdom but the same information is on the other business listings and look further on the last pages of those listings you'll see all sorts of negative reviews. Good job Animal Kingdom for trying to hide the lies from your customers but you can't fool people what you're doing, seems everybody is seeing it. more

ATTENTION VIEWERS: Animal Kingdom has written 98% of the reviews by themselves by using a reverse SEO company to write these false reviews going back starting from February 13, 2011 till March 14, 2011 and still writing their own reviews. -- PLUS THEY ARE USING THE OLDER USER NAMES AND UPDATING THE WRITEUPS, SO YOU ARE BEING FOOLED HERE, IS JUST ANOTHER TRICK THEY ARE TRYING TO DO. You are being lied to about the comments posted here because they are hiding they're complaints, they do not want people to know what people have experienced, so they are continuing to lie to the consumers. For example if you want to know, just read each users names history down below then look into each users names comments, you'll find that they are saying a lot of the same thing or even cloning the comments but also writing false reviews on other businesses that have negative complaints where they are writing false reviews to push down the negative comments. Animal Kingdom has a history of complaints about them as all you have to do is Google them and there numerous complaints will show up. So everybody please be informed that Animal Kingdom is lying to you and everybody about these phony comments, if you want to write a real comment, read the last comment on the last page then look from that point on every review after is all positive 5 stars, so yes they are trying to hide those complaints from you. love love love coming to this pet store when passing through Pismo Beach. They've got like 8 windows full of different kinds of puppies, and they'll bring them out for you to hold. Last time we were there they even had French bulldogs. I know ""they"" say not to buy a dog from a pet store, and I'm all for adopting from the humane society and everything, but hey, these puppies are here and need homes too, right? This location has other small animal pets like guinea pigs and dwarf rabbits, too (there's another Animal Kingdom in Pismo Beach on Dolliver 5 min away). The staff is always nice and helpful. more

Don't spend your money here! NEVER, NEVER SPEND YOUR MONEY IN THIS STORE! Yesterday I experienced the ugliest, meanest situation with ""the owner/Adam"" and his chump young man, who refused to give me his name. in the store working behind the counter. After finding a puppy, major consideration, bonding, deciding to go forward adding this puppy to my animal family, I am rudely told as I am paying that the puppy cannot leave the store that day. There was a tiny topical rash on the neck, probably caused from playing with the other puppies, that I mentioned. So the chump calls the owner and I ask to speak to him, when speaking to ""the owner/Adam"" on the phone, offering to take the puppy to the vet right away, having already been told the puppy had to see a vet within five days of purchase, then trying to compromise, said I would take the puppy to their vet and even pay for it....this rude human being said to me ""I think it's best if you don't buy this dog at all"".....who does that? Without any regard to my emotions ... NEVER, NEVER SPEND YOUR MONEY IN THIS STORE! I love this pet store. They have such a variety of cool play stuff for animals. There is something about going into these stores that get me every time. I want to buy everything!!! They have pretty good prices too!!! more
