People need to speak up 9/9/2014

I don't normally write reviews, but seeing these makes me upset... I've been bringing my cats to see Dr. Valese for 5 years now and I've never had an issue. I sometimes have concerns about price, but Dr. Valese always asks permission before running tests, and I always ask the cost upfront to make sure I'll have the funds that day. They never once forced any treatments on me or surprised me with any hidden fees. They charge fairly for the amazing service I get for my cats. If ppl are so concerned about costs, ask how much things will be before OKing them to be done!!!!! more

Scammer! 9/8/2014

Read the negative comments and take note. Ditto what they say!\r "free initial visit" cost me $146.00. Charges double what my past vets charge and give out unknown, bogus "herbal" medicine for an undiagnosed condition. Same-day blood work results still not here weeks later. I was charged $18.00 plus change for his vet assistant's time. That's a new one! I thought vets paid their own help like other employers? Come back in 3 weeks? I think not. Yuck!\r p.s. The only other person in the waiting room was also a new patient. more

I was so impressed with how wonderfully the doctor took care of my dog. The place is great, the dogs are happy when they come in. It's very comfortable there. I live out of the area and wish I didn't live so far away as I would come here all of the time for the care of my pets. more

Dr Valese is top notch & very knowledgable. The care they provide is excellent, everyone there is very friendly and know what they are talking about. They always give us the time needed to go over any instructions regarding medications or home care for my dog Sargent. Their facility is amazing and very clean. I'm so impressed with everything they do. I know your dog would have the best care if you went to the Animal Hospital of Mt Pocono. more

I bring my pets to Dr. Valese because the office is clean from the parking lot to the exam rooms. The front desk is organized and the girls are always patient and friendly. All questions are always answered and all phone messages returned. My pets? complete medical history is in the computer and their pictures on all medication. There is always a follow-up phone call to check on my pets? recovery and any reaction to their medication. I have peace of mind when I have to leave my pets because I know they are carefully watched. more

Dr. Valese seems competent and provides reasonable care but he is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!! Almost twice the price of our current competent vet, Dr. Miller of Pocono Lake. Our most recent mailing for Dr. Valese is a self-serving scare letter titled ""Consumer Alert"" that warns against buying medications from sources other than him. I understand that veterinarians are in business but in an area where there are few choices, he is exploiting pet owners. more

I have been taking my animals to Dr. Valese for well over 20 years. I now have a German Sheppard and two cats. Dr. Valese is very thorough and caring during the examination of my animals. When a problem is found he takes the time to explain everything that has to be done to correct the condition. His concern for all animals is truly genuine. more

From the moment we brought our dog in for a checkup, Dr. Valese was focused totally on her. It was as though he and the dog were having a conversation. Dr. Valese was compassionate and completely in charge. Our dog sensed this and behaved accordingly. The results of Dr. Valese?s treatment of our dog?s allergies exceeded our expectations. He kept in contact with us about her progress; he proposed possible solutions. It seems like we have gotten our dog back; she appears comfortable, like her former self. We are very grateful. Our dog is very responsive to Dr. Valese?s staff. She wags her tail widly to greet them. We are well satisfied with the TLC she receives when we board her with them. Knowing that Dr. Valese and his staff are there for our dog gives us great peace of mind. more

The hospital is always nice and clean and never smells like animals. They know me and my cats by name there, we are not just a number. Dr. Valese, and every member of his staff, treats my dogs as if they were the only pets that mattered. They treat me with kindness and understanding, and I know my dogs are receiving the finest and most up to date veterinary care possible. When I leave my dogs for boarding I know they are well cared for, and get all the affection they need. more

Dr Valese is great & very informative. His entire staf is so nice & helpful. The hospital is a very nice & clean place. I love the decorations. I'm really impressed with how well my Scooby is taken care of and how nice they are to me. For me it's the best place to take your pet for care. You will love the staff. more

We have 3 dogs and a cat registered with the Animal Hospital of Mt. Pocono, and have been more than pleased with the care that has been given to them. Dr. Valese and his staff have made us feel like part of their family and are very friendly, helpful and efficient. We appreciate the fact that Dr. Valese is very thorough in his check-ups and treatment, and that his office offers comprehensive care (with on-site clinical lab, x-rays, pharmacy, etc.) and has state-of-the-art equipment, so that everything is done in his office with quick results. One of the most impressive aspects of Dr. Valese?s care is that he takes time to educate us humans on areas that include, but are not limited to, nutrition, exercise, home exams and in-office procedures and care. The appointment isn?t over when you leave, as his staff always call to follow up on the progress of our pets. We also like the availability of their online website where we can check our pets? records, as well as read information on animal health care and the many services they offer. We have full confidence that the needs of our pets are of primary concern to Dr. Valese and his staff, and we have full confidence in their caring professionalism and talents. more

Pocono, he would not have lived such a long and happy life, with all his health and skin problems. All my animals, and I had quite a few, have been patients of Dr. Valese for nearly 20 years. He has been a great Doctor, and I always knew my animals were in good hands with him. He has always taken his time with them, and knew exactly how to treat them so that they had a good recovery. I thank him for all the wonderful things he has done for them. Also, his staff has always treated me with kindness and respect. You couldn?t ask for a better care center for your animals. more
