Animal Emergency Hospital

I wish I had seen these reviews before I brought my cat there to be spayed. She caught feline Parvovirus while there and was dead a week later. They won't return my phone calls to discuss what they did. How disgusting they are!!! How can you dare to say you provide compassionate care??? Anyone who has had a good experience with them better count their blessings and run. Because their hospital isn't cleaned properly, the virus remained alive and my cat came in contact with it while there for surgery. Or worse, they claim to be ""sterile"" during surgery, you have to wonder. Again, these people are heartless. BEWARE if you take your pet there. You might want to check to see if there are any complaints against their licenses with the state or with the BBB. I wish I had. more

In my opinion, this place should be closed down for unethical business practices by advertising they are a 24/7 animal emergency hospital with a vet AND vet tech always there when a pet is hospitalized. This was clearly NOT the case on Sept 5th and 6th of 2012 and from what i hear this has been the case with other pet owners running into the same thing. There never seems to be a vet there which was the case when we took a kitten there on 9/5/2012. I do NOT recommend ever taking your pets there based on my own experiences with Animal ER on old moultrie rd more

Like the other post said, very expensive.. Not the friendliest people either. Would go somewhere else more

I wish I could give this place negative stars. The only thing these people care about is money. My dog had to have emergency surgery during the summer. In December the same thing happened and she had to have the same surgery as before. The surgery cost 4000$. They tell you that you have to pay the four grand up front, or your dog is going to die, just like that. Very heartless unless you have all the money. After we gathered enough money for them to start the surgery, they told us how much the cost would be for the post care and they would let us know day by day when the cost goes up so we can try to get more money. The night before she was coming home, we stopped to see her, and they told it was only going to be an additional 165$ from what we already paid. So the morning we go to get her, it is suddenly 500$ more. All they care about is money!! We also found out that our dog could of had a procedure after the first time in the summer that would have prevented it from happening again. Of course they didn't want to tell us because they wanted more money!!! Some are nice, but a couple are rude and heartless and do not understand that most people can't afford their outrageous prices. DO NOT GO HERE! more

All I can say about St johns animal emergency hospital is that they care greatly about the animals that come there. They are very honest with their customers, which some people like, some dont. Point is, they are their for the animals, that is their priority. I have worked in the animal industry for a long time and would have to say when I visited this vet office, I was suprised at how much they cared about the animals and their well being. more
