The worst custumer service 5/19/2012

After trying many different vets around the area ithis ione is better than the other ones. Doctors are good, all of them. But the customer service at front desk is horrible!! If they make a mistake on your bill they get upset, they dont even apologiez, they get a very bad attitud, even thoug i had expened thousands there, they treat you like they dont care about your bussiness. They think they own the center, and they charge you stuff and keep it quiet until hopefully u notice it!!! Technician are very good also. But the custumer service at front desk is the worse ever!!! There is one nice lady but once u dont agree with something or ask a question she isnt nice anymore!!!! How can such a expensive place have such a horrible custumer service?? more

Animal Care - where? 5/3/2012

Another one of those places in Panama City Beach that overcharges you way to much because they are located on the beach. If you have the extra money to spare I would go to Breeze Animal Clinic, they are at least nicer. The staff in the 'Kennel' area are rude. When I spoke with the office manager "Mary" she didn't even act like it mattered. Customer satisfaction is rated a 1, location is rated a 5, and as for the vets themselves, I would rate a 3 - very average. Pros: null Cons: null more

My Puffin Lady 4/14/2012

I have read all the horrible things said about Animal Care. I'm sure some of you had a snag here or there. But, I assure you, the staff is very professional. They are not gushing with sweetness, but they do care, get you in and out, and very helpful. My poodle, Puffin Lady, was taken to a vet that did blood work. They called on Saturday and told me to bring her in on Monday to put her down. This was after I'd taken her in for her allergies. I cried all weekend, and made an appointment with Animal Care. Sure enough, she has liver cancer, but after many tests, over 1500.00 in Dr. Fee's, lab fee's and other tests run, she was put on medicine and well, she is still here. I could not continue with the medicines, they are 213.00 per 10 days, but she still is ticking and the Animal Care is the only ones who told me to keep her on Milk Thistle. I give them 5 stars, and I'm sorry, but you have to pay the price. You get what you pay for. The first vets office smells so badly it will make you thr more

BEWARE 2/20/2012

Do NOT use this place for a vet visit or boarding!!! I have never been so horrified in my life. It starts from the front desk help and their insensitive and unprofessional attitudes and ends with the uncaring overpriced vets! They are a horrible place with horrible employees who could care less about animals. All they care about is money and even when you give them your money they still treat you and your animals like crap! Go to BREEZE ANIMAL HOSPITAL!! I boarded my two Cairn Terriers with the Animal Care Center one weekend when my normal place was full. I was boarding them Fri. - Sun. with a possible Monday pick-up! We decided to cut our vacation short after a storm was forcasted to head towards home. Knowing our dogs get upset during storms we headed to get them. I called the front desk and asked them when they closed on Sundays and they said 1pm. I said i would call when closer and if I could not make it I would pay by credit card over phone and send a friend in for pick-up. I was more

Unprofessional 9/27/2011

I'm from out-of-town and my dog was being treated for a staph infection by my doctor at home. It was the 3rd day of antibiotics and I could see it was not improving. I went to Animal Care where the doctor said he felt it was a spider bite. 107.00 later he sent me home with antibiotic shampoo and spray. Three days later I called to say another area on her body has the same rash with redness, oozing, and blisters. He said there was nothing more they could do for my pet!!!!!! He also said staph infections never apear on a pet's belly. As I read more about staph infections I learned that was the sure sign it was staph. Please do not take your animals to this Animal Care Center! more

Not Professional and Competent 9/27/2011

I'm from out-of-town and my dog was being treated for a staph infection back home. I brought her to Animal Care Center because it was not getting better. The doctor said he thought it was a spider bite and after 113.00 sent me home with an antibiotic spray and shampoo. Three days later when another area showed up with the same blisters, redness and oozing I called back to say it wasnt getting better and now was spreading. The doctor said there was nothing more he could do!!!!! Do you really want to trust this place with your animals. more

Horrible 8/11/2011

Last weekend, I had plans to go out of town & needed to board my 10 month old pit for a few days. After searching all over panama city/panama city beach & reading each review carefully for every boarding facility imaginable, I finally decided that Animal Care Clinic was my best option. However, I was wrong. On arrival, the clinic appeared clean & sanitary. The receptionist was polite & extremely helpful. I felt more than comfortable leaving my baby with them as I left. While I was away, I called daily to check on my best friend to make sure he was getting along fine, sleeping good, being fed, let out, etc. They assured me he was doing great, being well taken care of, & that they were "becoming really good friends". So I was happy & I trusted them. When I picked him up 3 days later, he seemed fine. I checked his weight to make sure he was fed, checked his gums to make sure he was hydrated, & gave him a bath as soon we got home because honestly, smelled like straight dog piss. My dog has more

Love Animal Care Center 4/8/2011

We take both of our large dogs to the Animal Care Center and have received nothing but the best treatment. Their prices are reasonable and the doctors and staff treat the dogs as if they were their own. We highly recommend bringing your pets here. Our dogs are our "babies" and we wouldn't take them anywhere else! more

If you need special treatment 12/19/2010

This is the best vet I have ever taken my cats to, and I have been to many. \r Pros: The facility is always clean, and it never smells like animals are there. The staff that attends to the animals is OUT of This World! They treat animals with respect and care. They do not rush, answer questions, and offer suggestions. They even helped us when our cat had to be spayed at another vet due to a coupon from the animal control. My cat was in severe pain, and the other vet said "she will be for a few days". The Animal Care Center saw her right away, gave pain med, and it turned out she had an infection. My mom's cats were accidentally given dog flea drops by a friend and were having seizures. My mom called and they saw her cats at 2AM, and stayed with them all night. I love this place, and will never take my animals any where else!\r Cons: The front desk is friendly. They could be a little more at times, however they have never been rude. The waiting lobby could have more seating, but more

Caring and pleasant doctor 3/31/2010

Dr. Smitherman is the sweetest man... he remembers my animals by name and situation, and is always extremely happy to see us and pleasant. He is great. more

Rude customers 7/5/2008

I was in the Vet's today and witnessed the rudest people ever. I think I caught their names as Stacy and Brian. I know her name was Stacy (she said it loudly several times) They had a huge dog, over 100 lbs. Apparently they were disputing the charges - a whole $30. It was really pathetic the way the husband was treating the receptionist and then he brought his wife in who was a ditzy blonde and starting disputing everything, They both made complete asses of themselves in front of everyone. Everyone in the lobby was talking about them and laughing when they left. Thank goodness the husband took their little boy outside (finally) The receptionist handled herself so well and calm and even with a smile. Can't say I'd be the same! and all of us customers felt so bad for her - these people were so rude! Too bad the tourists come in sometimes. My husband and I are seasonal and people like that give us a bad name. more

Not Professional at all! 6/28/2008

I called them and heard obsenities yelled by techs. Then placed on hold for 5 minutes. They asked what I needed then proceeded to cover up the phone and ignore me. Their attitude was not helpful and I would not want my animals around that. more

Animal Care Center 1/29/2008

When we vacation in PCB , we always board our dog at Animal Care Center. We have never had a bad experience . The staff is friendly and eager to make your pet's stay pleasant . They encourage pet owners to drop by and visit. The new facility is state of the art. We advise anyone to try Animal Care center for your pet care needs while in PCB. more
