We'd switched vets because we've moved recently. Our dog was seen at Animal Care, first for blocked anal glands and ultimately she was diagnosed with a bladder infection. We followed the medication instructions exactly for two weeks. On our return visit, I explained that her symptoms had worsened and there were new ones, including vomiting. After over two weeks of an antibiotic, he still maintained that a UTI was the problem, but tossed in an expensive x-ray too. I had explained that she rarely had such UTI's and it seemed like she should have improved, not worsened. He insisted on more antibiotics, Rimadyl and new food. Several days later, my dog was so ill-- weak and listless from vomiting, that I left work early, drove an hour to our old vet to discover that she has pancreatitis, NOT a bladder infection. After that visit, a blood test, some treatment advice and a different food, our dog is improving nicely. We spent over $500.00 for inadequate medical assistance from Dr. Yan more

When 'Fairfield Animal Hospital' (as it used to be called) opened in the late 1980's, I had the pleasure of being 1 of Dr.Dave's first patients. Not for a moment will I ever regret that decision. I stayed thru 3 new buildings, various vets, associates etc....Throughout it all, not 1 bad experience. Dr. Dave now enjoys being able to tend to his little patients pretty much part-time. GOOD FOR HIM. He worked many years to build this place into the finest in the area. 1st we have Miss Cookie, Business Manager, who was there the 1st day I walked into the door. AND....STILL serves proudly and efficiently. Cookie, we all love you. Most recently, my beloved kitty, Mr. Snickers became gravely ill. TOTAL urinary blockage. He literally had only a couple of hours left to live. Now we have our precious Dr. Wendy to the rescue. She literally RAN out of the room with him. She immediately saw that his breaths were numbered. Dr. Wendy has cared for my other animals as well, and you could never find a more dedicated, caring Dr. on the planet. She always is honest and detailed in her explanations about the health of our children. And with such empathy. Even when one of our children must be assisted in going to their heavenly home, she never waivers in her devotion. My 'Snickie' had surgery the following day. The prognosis was very bad, but she never gave up. Thank God. Other Vets would have just put him down. Not our Dr. Wendy. She kept my Snickie for 8 days, allowed me to visit, attended to him as if he was her own child etc... Thank God and Dr Wendy, he is now on the mend. Prognosis is still not 'written in stone' that he will continue to thrive, but I do know this for sure. Even with the diseased bladder etc...if there is ANY way to save my son, Dr Wendy will do everything possible. She allows me to be with him during certain procedures, because she understands how important it is to him and to me. I AM his Mommy. She is a blessing to behold. Her instincts are incredible. Dr. Wendy will stay with you through thick and thin, and ALWAYS tell you the truth. This I know. There is a special place in Heaven for Vets like Dr. Wendy. Yes, their services are very expensive, but how can you put a price on any of the above issues mentioned? THANK YOU DR. WENDY. I, Mr. Snickers, Miss Chrissy, Cupcake, Puddytat, Miss Jewel and all of my other children would just like to say thank you for giving them the very best care that medicine has to offer. Several of the above, you had to assist to their Heavenly home, but they left knowing you cared. We love you Dr. Wendy. more

I couldn't ask for a better veterinarian for my pets. Every time I come in I am greeted with a smile. The receptionists, technician, and doctors all take such good care of my 'kids'. Dr Wendy goes above and beyond and takes her time to explain things to me. When my 'first born' was getting older and the time to put her down was getting near, Dr Wendy was there for me to help make the process as painless as possible for me. There's no other doctor I would've trusted to be there for Shelby's last moments. more

The folks at ACC-Fairfield are incredible! Whatever the issue is with your pet, they give the same care as if it were their own loved pet! And they will work with YOU (the human) with whatever you need. Right from the first you walk in, they greet you and are so efficient and organized, you think every business should be this way! And the vet staff is so caring and creative. I would recommend them to anyone (and everyone). more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this beautiful facility. As soon as you walk in, the staff welcomes you with open arms & makes your pet feel at home. The techs are very knowledgable and loving towards the owners & animals. The Drs are hands down the best in the city, we see Dr Wendy but everyone has been fabulous!. We have been taking our 2 dogs here since the beginning and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Stella has been a part of the ACC family for 9 years, we loved them so much this is where we adopted Peyton from! Once you try them, you will be hooked!!!! more

I had my first visit today and I'm VERY pleased with the service and professionalism of the Animal Care Center in Fairfiled. My two birds were treated like family. Dr. Amber was wonderful and very caring. The technician as well as the front desk help were friendly and took good care of us. I would recommend Dr. Amber and this facility to anyone looking a an avian vet. more

This a wonderful facility. The staff and vets are very friendly. The premises is large and clean and well taken care of. The only thing I don't care for is that their prices are much higher than other clinics. If you can afford the very very best for your pet, this is a great place, but if you live on a budget, there are smaller clinics that are still very nice and charge a whole lot less. more
