Ani Pal's Pet Resort

I've been boarding my dogs at AniPals for almost 4 years and have nothing but positive things to say. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and you can tell they truly care about all the pets. I also personally like that its locally owned and operated, and not just another profit-minded corporatized chain like some of the other boarding places in KC. The groomer Kendra is also great; she really has a way with dogs. Even my skittish formerly abused rescue had no problems with Kendra giving her a summer shave down which I couldn't believe. There honestly cannot possibly be a better place than AniPals to board or groom your dogs in Kansas City. more

I've known Kendra, the groomer, for five years and I would never DREAM of bringing my dogs to anybody else. She goes above and beyond every time to take care of them, especially my elderly dog. Five stars aren't enough for the service she provides. Highly recommended! more

Anipals is an awesome Pet Resort, Very Clean and Great Staff ! The groomer is WONDERFUL, I have taken my 10 year old Yorkie to Kendra to groom, he usually bites while being groomed, but with Kendra he rolls on his back and gives her kisses. He doesn't mind going to Anipals:) So happy I found someone that my little guy LOVES. Thanks Kendra and Anipals! more

They're totally awesome! We brought our dog in for a groom, they were easily available, did a great job, and didn't cost me a small fortune either. Couldn't ask for a better groomer. Ask for Kendra, she's awesome. more

To Ani Pal employees. I am very sorry for the review that you received under my name. I never know of this web site till it was brought to my attention. I am sorry its taking me so long to respond but didnt think this would matter. but I feel really bad and want to set the record straight.\r \r Yes my dog cotton had a cut under her eye it was very small. she is fine. I no cotton is a lil pistol when being groomed that is why i take her to Anipals. I do not blame them at all. The have always done a great job. I will talke my dogs back because it is a great place. I dont know who wrote a bad review in my name but I am very very sorry. more

They might be ok for boarding, I wouldn't know..... but I definitely wouldn't recommend them for grooming, especially with their new groomer. After this I'm not sure that I wouldn't even have them boarded at this facility.\r \r I usually take my 2 dogs in and never had a problem. Yesterday I brought them in and one dog came home with a CUT under her eye. The groomer, Leigh, tried to say it was from my dogs tears and matts. Number one, my dog doesn't have matts and number two the cut was not there when I dropped them off. more

I can't see how anyone could not love Ani-Pals. I took my dogs there and they got the love and attention they are used to at home. The owner could not have been more helpful, and understood "these were our babies". She told us we could bring their favorite toy and blanket. On the bad days, they had a beautiful play room to play in. We also took them in the summer, where they had a pool for the hot days and nature walks. It is the greatest! I would not take them anywhere else. more

Leaving your pet somewhere is like leaving your children. We were quite nervous about leaving our cat anywhere, but we were headed out of town for a week. \r From the get-go we were very pleased with the staff and facility. The staff was able to answer any questions we had and they all seemed to genuinely care about the animals. The facility was very neat and clean. \r The only trouble we ran into was that our cat didn't want to come home with us at the end of his stay!!! We will be back!! more

I just picked up my 2 dogs from Anipals after a 3 night stay there. I continue to be so happy and impressed every time. Before moving to my area I had NEVER left my 2- 100lb dogs anywhere before. They always went with us. Now with kids we are out of room. From the very first time we have dropped the dogs off there we are very happy. The dogs love going there and you can tell they are always well taken care of. The resort is ALWAYS clean and the staff is top knotch there. I will continue to take my dogs there and only there. The price is so much cheaper than anywhere else also- I have checked around. If anyone is ever debating on whether to go here or not- I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.\r Thanks Anipals for taking care of our dogs and putting us at ease while we are away! more

We had been boarding our dog at Ani-Pals for several years without any problems until this time. We had her scheduled for grooming and boarding on Saturday and received a call on Thursday (2 days before) that our dog had to have a Bordetella shot every 6 months or she couldn't stay. Where we live she only has to have it once a year and we have never taken her anyplace but Ani-Pals so we had not heard of this policy before now. I understand the reason to protect the dogs but two days notice of a policy that we had never heard of before at Ani-Pals is not acceptable. We ended up having to cancel our reservation and losing the money because we could not find another place on such short notice. more
