I moved to Dallas a year ago and have made it my mission to find the best burger spots in the city. Angry Dog is easily the winner. I'm not really into the bar atmosphere, especially the smoke, and Angry Dog is smoky and noisy. Those might warrant strikes against the place but I only go here for takeout and, if you have the best burger in a city as big as Dallas (with so many great burger joints), you get 5 stars.\r

The burgers are perfectly seasoned, taste like the meat has been freshly ground, and they don't mind cooking a burger rare, which is how i like 'em. The grilled onions don't come standard and they're worth asking for. The burger is a 1/2 pounder - big but not overwhelming - and it comes with good fries. They can be a little cold by the time I get home, which is a minor complaint.\r

I've also had the ""Angry Dog"", which violates my rule for hot dogs in that you can't really eat it with your hands. If that doesn't bother you, it's great. Lots of chili and cheese and other good stuff (like those grilled onions). \r

The service has been quick every time I've gone.\r

I've noticed a ton of fake reviews (sound like ads - only one review by the reviewer - always 5 stars) in the Dallas Citysearch pages and have decided to start doing my own reviews to combat this a little bit. It is not surprising that Angry Dog's reviews all look legitimate because their food is actually that good. I'm not really a bar person, but I imagine it's a pretty cool place if you don't mind the noise and smoke.\r

If you like burgers, you must try Angry Dog. If you like chili dogs and don't mind the knife and fork, that's probably a must try as well.
Pros: Best Burger in Dallas, lots of beer on tap and in bottles, sports on tv
Cons: smoky and noisy.
