Dear Alexis, \r
\r
We do stand behind our return policy and it is quite liberal. However, once another jeweler sets a loose diamond and in this particular case BREAKS THE DIAMOND, it cannot be returned under any circumstances. We are happy to set the diamond for a customer into their ring and will take full responsibility for it. We cannot however take responsibility for another jeweler's work or mistakes. I am also surprised that you are now claiming our return policy was not honored. Again, I must point out for the record that you actually requested and received a printed copy of the return policy before you ever left our showroom. When I met with you on Saturday, you also told me that you were aware thay the diamond was damaged before you attempted to return it. I realize that you are angry but let me again state that your fight should not be with us, but rather with the jeweler that set your stone, for it appears that the diamond was likely broken during the setting process. I am assuming that they made you sign a waiver beforehand and you have no recourse with them? I have and will continue to extend my offer of help to you regardless of your comments.
