Overated, Steak is slathered in their sauce, which many do not like. Steak quality hidden under it. Taste of a good steak, lost, everything tastes the same.

Great Place. Great Food. Great Price. 12/7/2009

I've been to Andria's a couple of times in the past few months. Service here is second to none and the taste of the food, well their steaks melt in your mouth! The lobster turnovers are a great start to the meal as they are truly delightful! I travel a lot and I'm just thankful to have a great place like this in our own back yard! Keep up the great work Andria's, I will see you again soon! Pros: Lobster Turnovers. Need I say more??? more

highly recommended 2/2/2009

I visited Andria's for the 1st time last year & if you go I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you're goin on a Saturday night I would recommend gettin there early cause they don't take reservations on Saturdays & it is always crowded on Saturdays (of course). Anyway, the restaraunt is very charming & the staff are friendly (which you can't take for granted nowadays) & the steaks are in the close to perfect category. The sauce they use to grill the steaks is not overbearing & compliments the flavor of the steak nicely. My strip was cooked exactly as ordered. The house salad dressing was very nice & an extra large Idaho spud wrapped in plain brown paper was a perfect companion for this great steak. My wife's fillet was also cooked exactly as she ordered it & was a very nice cut of meat. There are some good steak houses in (St. Louis) & I've tried alot of them, but Andria's is worth trekkin into to Illinois & is not hard to find. The atomosphere is nice for the dating crowd out there & couples, but probably not the best place to bring small children. My birthday is comin up in a couple of weeks & I thought about tryin another steak emporium I've yet to enter, but with the way the economy is I can't take a chance on blowin $90+ on a meal only to be disappointed. I think I'll just go to Andria's instead & know it's gonna be good....... Pros: great steaks, nice atmosphere, friendly staff Cons: long waits on Saturday nights if you don't get there early more

No complaint but not what I was expecting 9/10/2007

Most of the reviews on city search laud Andria's as an amazing place. The descriptions here made me think of a quiet little Victorian home adorned with candles and small, intimate tables tucked into every corner. While it wasn't quite that way, the service was friendly and the food was still pretty good. I expected more from the experience based on the sensational reviews, but I also expected to pay more, so was not disappointed overall. If you want to spend $90 on a meal for two and don't mind average steakhouse fare, this isn't a bad choice at all. more

The Best-hands down 8/10/2006

This restaurant is such a special place. It is a little off the beaten path, but not hard to find by any means. The beautiful home turned restaurant has a very personal and intimate atmosphere that is perfect for couples or small groups. The wait staff is fantastic at accomodating any requests and is attentive throughout the dining experience. The first time I went to Andria's, my date told me that I should try the filet. It was the absolute best thing I had ever tasted. The entire menu of seafood, chicken, and chops looks fabulous, but I just cannot bring myself to order anything other than the filet. The appetizers and desserts are to die for as well. If you like a cocktail before dinner, there is a great bar that sits in away from the dining room. It reminds me of a gentlemen's club(ladies welcome though of course) and the drinks are mixed perfectly. The a la carte menu is a little pricey, but once you have tasted the food, I think you will agree that it is worth every penny. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that on New Years Eve and Valentine's Day, they do not serve any appetizers due to the large number of tables turned. Other than that, I say make reservations and be ready to enjoy a wonderful time and Andria's! more

A diamond in the rough 1/27/2006

I lived in the O'Fallon area for about 2 years and there is not much in the area as far as great steak places go. Andria's has made a great name of itself by selling their steak sauce in the grocery, but there is nothing like going to the restaurant. Nice large portions and with a very steak house feeling. Definately a place to take out of area friends and family. I bring their steak sauce to my grandfather in Arizona and he loves it. The attitude at the front is not the most welcoming, but once you get past that you won't be disappointed. Pros: Steak of course! more

Best Steak on East Side of River 10/25/2005

Have not been to a lot of Steak places on the St. Louis side but hands down the best on the East side. Great food, great service, and I recommend getting the baked potato with the steak because it falls apart like mashed potatoes. Pros: Steak, Potato, Service Cons: Price more

Excellent Food. 6/6/2005

The food is excellent with good size portions. It is perfect for a special occassion without kids because it is not the type of place for kids and it is pricey. However, I learned that the bus boys do about 80% of the work while the servers go in the back and smoke doing next to nothing. The bus boys are excellent, but the actually servers are very slow. I would reccommend giving the majority of the tip to the bus boy directly because the only make 20% of the tip. Pros: excellent food, good portions, nice location Cons: pricey , lazy servers more

BEST AROUND 6/5/2005

My husband is a big steak eater, I only get the filet mignon. We both agree it's one of the best, if not the best, steaks we've ever eaten. Too expensive to take the kids which makes it all the better for us!!! Pros: location, portion size, taste more

first date recommendation 1/13/2003

This is such a classy place. It may be a bit expensive, but it's worth it. It's the perfect place for a first date or anniversary. I don't even like steak, but their chicken is great. The service is great and the atmosphere is low key, but exquisite. more

Best steak in town 1/12/2003

The best steak in St. Louis is not in St. Louis. Go across the river to O'Fallon, IL (not O'Fallon, MO) for tantalizing steak served graciously in charming surroundings. Pros: steaks, ambience Cons: pricey more

Best in the World! 12/23/2002

Andria's steak is absolutely the best I have ever eaten. I am a world traveler, and nowhere have I ever had a better steak. They are consistently superb cuts, cooked to perfection with extraordinary taste. I purchase their special sauce every time I'm in town. It's never the same at home, but it reminds me of the fine food & fun I've had a Andria's. Pros: GREAT STEAK, Super salad bar, Ambience Cons: Long wait on wee-ends more

Stupendelicious 12/19/2002

This is a first class restaurant. It borders on the formal, the atttire, atmosphere, service. The most important though was the steaks. Cooked to perfection. A healthy size portion not like some other so call top restaurants. I very highly recommend Andria's Restaurant! ! ! Pros: good parking, nice setting(scenery), QUITE!!!! Cons: hard to find more

Scrumptious 12/19/2002

Wonerful food, steaks and chops. Served in warm setting by attentive servers. Please try large cut K.C. steak or large filet. This is one fine spot for delicious meat. They also have salmon, but thats it. Pros: Attentive servers, great steaks, warm surroundings Cons: no reserv. on weeken more

Impress your date!! 12/3/2002

Andria's is one of the finest and best kept secrets in the country!! They have excellent food that is expertly prepared with comparable prices. I highly recommend reservations, especially on weekends. Pros: Quality, Good Parking, Service Cons: Crowded more

Yum-Yum 12/3/2002

The steaks are very, very good. They are a little heavy on the salad dressing, but it is still good. The portabella mushroom appetizer (only one) is great. It is marinated in the Andria's sauce and then grilled...yummy! One thing we learned, make reservations! They are usually standing out the door on a Saturday evening and they do suggest making them, even if it is during the week. more
