This is the worst Vet I have ever worked with. Since my issues with the office I have taken my pet to another. But this is the issues that I've had. Received expired tags on his rabies shots. Apparently they don't obtain new ones. Then Just this month I have been attempting to refill my pet's prescription since January 4th. As I have been going back and forth with the pharmacy I've learned that the office claimed 5 times that they have no records for my pet. Then when I followed up on Wednesday the 29th of January, the office was closed, yet the Vet himself answered the phone. He refused to help me or my pet. REFUSED. Said the office is closed call back tomorrow and hung up on me. Mind you his office has been messing up. On top of that the doctor told me that they lose records every year. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!! Then I called back today and finally they found his records. But now the issue is, their fax machine has been broken for over a month so they cannot fax the prescription. What doctor, business, pet hospital, uses an excuse that a pet cannot have the prescription faxed because their fax isn't working. And the pharmacy calls me repeatedly informing me of the lack of cooperation from the vet's office. Once I returned the call again today, I was highly upset, I explained to the doctor himself that it is his responsibility to run his office to treat his patients. That he has gotten paid for his services. I explained if that is and has been the case find a solution not use it as an excuse. I didn't care if he needed to go to a UPS store, Kinko's or any other establishment that allows them to fax. I told him to write my name down because I'm picking up my dog's records and prescription and tomorrow and I don't want him to ever treat my dog again. That is the 2nd time the doctor hung up on me. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS VET!!! He is basically neglecting my pet's needs and blaming it on technology that hasn't been working for over a month. Is that professional, caring, organized, courteous service? This is just covering the topic of service. Not to mention the condition of the practice. more

Amity Animal Clinic...hospital whatever you will call it but for my family you can put Dr. Tumibay anywhere 5 stars hospital or not,for him it's all about our Pets....SAVING pets ~ pets they are our family..He has been our Veteran for almost 18 years for all 4 of our pets.He always do his best and works beyond his working hours and very affordable compared to other clinics or Hospital..You can talk to him not just less than a 10 mins. visit ,..we can really count on him in so many emergencies even if the clinic is already close, he is always there. So for us he is more than 5 * * * * * * or we can go on.Thanks Dr. Tumibay . more

Warning- do not take your loving pet to 6/7/2012

Warning- do not take your loving pet to this place. I took my poor baby Gizmo, a 3 years old pug, to this "vet" because he was sick for a day or 2. He had gotten sick before like this before but he got better all by himself with love and care. We gave him lots of affection and attention. We took Gizmo to this "hospital." First, this place smells disgusting, very unsanitary. There is ONE doctor and ONE secretary. Which for some reason I find unusual. The vet sees Gizmo. The first thing he says is "your dog is weak, It will be $300 for an IV. All he did was charge and charge and charge. He did not even explain what was wrong with Gizmo. Especially since you couldn't understand any word he was saying. He put a rope around my dogs neck and tried to weigh him. I've never seen a Vet tie a disgusting rope around a small dogs neck. He told us to keep the dog their until Thursday. My mother warned the doc that Gizmo is not a caged dog and is not social with strangers. My mother said she will think about leaving Gizmo until Thursday. We did some errands, and around 1 the Doc called saying Gizmo had a little seizure. He was in a cage with an IV what we said NOT to do. This man obviously does not care about your pet or your feelings. He told us Gizmo was OK and that he was feeding him. My mother said she was going to go pick him up that she did not want him there and the doc said no that we could not pick him up. We all wondered why. About an hour later the Doc calls back saying Gizmo died.. All our hearts were broken. We lost our Angel. It is weird that we couldn't pick him up... This place has an eerie feel to it. The secretary only asked for money. As you can see by the other reviews, this place is not safe. DO NOT GO HERE. PLEASE if you love your pet DO NOT take them here... I lost my baby, Do not want you losing yours. Pros: null Cons: null more

Happy and affordable 9/7/2011

My dog needed hip surgery and this place was the most affordable one i can find. But i have to agree with the other 2 remarks unfortunately. there is a language barrier, his assistant like to charge, charge, charge and doesnt really explain to food. But the Doc himself is good and does care, told me to bring her in right away. Its been a month, healing well and my dog seems to be happy also. more

Terrible Vet 8/13/2011

This place stinks first of all, and I have no idea what they are saying most of the time. They charged a whole lot of money for an emergency. The first time I went there with my dog I paid 105 dollars just for signing up and vaccination. I would never recommend this to anyone. They don't deserve any stars. more

Warning!!for Owners of Pets!!With Amity Hospital 7/15/2011

My puppy got sick, and I was very worried, because she didn't want to eat, walk or even play like she usually is.The next day she started vomiting and having lots of diahrea so I took her to the Doctor in Amity Hospital and he told me "DONT WORRY" its just a virus and didn't tell me what kind. After that he gave me an antiobiotic.\r That same night my poor little puppy got worse. She didnt want to eat or drink water or even look at me.So i took her to Emergency in Fairfield, NJ,there the Vet took her and ask us very kindly and understandable question about her.I said everithing then she made my puppy everything she needed like a real Vet.At the virus test she was contaminaided with a contageous, dangerous and serious virus they cautioned me about the contact of my puppy with children and other puppies,I was very worried because i have 2 little girls at home with another dog.\r Next day I took my puppy to the vet in Amity Hospital again for a fluid Terapy and the vet said it cost is $100.00 a more

Franks Mom 12/18/2010

Well, no one else would take me in on a saturday, Amity did, As for it being clean no it was not, Dr. spoke broken english but was still understandable. The price was reasonable for an emergency visit, the Dr really seemed to know what he was talking about and really seemed to care for amimals, Overall experience was not so bad, My dog is no longer itchy so problem solved. I would recommend him to others. more

Horrible Vet 6/1/2010

They charged me double for vitamins after taking my pet in for a check up. They also failed to indicate that they were actually closed when I phoned first to bring in my pet. Instead, they charged me for an emergency visit. Completely unethical and I do not recommend for any other pet owner. Pros: None Cons: Many more
