By far the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life! 1/22/2012

I especially recommend it all! The happiest my tummy has ever felt and my mouth has been thanking me too! Mark Follett and his fabulous team of tex mex professionals makes going out to eat more fun than any other restaurant I have ever been too! Its an all over FEEL GOOD inside and out experience! Thank you all for going above and beyond! Wish I lived there full time and could treat myself to Amigos on a daily basis! more

Great food for a great price 8/21/2011

I've been eating here on and off for years. I just moved back into the area and started going back. The food is excellant and the prices are even better. more

Great Place for Tex-Mex 9/4/2009

I loved the enchiladas and the freshly made chips. The Salsa is hand made and seems a little on the chunky side, but is good. This is not Pace from the jar poured into a bowl. The food is absolutely excellent. The portions are worth the price and the service outstanding. If you like Tex-Mex then this is a place you’ll have to try!\r Pros: Portions are worth the money Cons: The atmotsphere is a little noisy more

Great food, great service 4/19/2008

I have been to the Altamonte Amigos at least 10-15 times a year for the last 6 years since moving to Altamonte and most of my experiences have been great. I think I can remember two times out of all those visits that did not meet my expectations. The food has always been great. The service is usually really good. This is probably one of two places around this area that I can always make a safe bet on. All of the surrounding restaurants are either good or terrible 100% of the time. I love the salsa, it always tastes fresh with the warm tortilla chips. This is the best salsa compared to any other Mexican restaurant around here. I recommend the Chicken Chimichanga with the queso sauce, that's my favorite and it's always great. more

Not recommended 12/9/2006

While this restaurant looks cozy and nice from outside, the dining experience was nothing like it!\r \r My husband and I are both vegetarians and went for Cheese Enchiladas and Bean Burritos (recommended by our waiter).\r \r The food was rather cold when it came out, the cheese inside the enchiladas not melted at all. We asked for it to be re-heated, and it was still cold inside the second time around, but too crisp and burnt in some areas.\r \r We've eaten in many Mexican restaurants, and this one is not recommendable, and in our personal opinion, it certainly isn't Orlando's No.1!\r \r They did take the Enchiladas off the bill. more

If you love Velveeta 11/5/2006

Velveeta is the cheese of choice at Amigos. That must be what puts the ""Tex"" in ""Tex-Mex"". My husband enjoyed the fajitas, but we both hated the salsa. It was very bland and had an odd texture. more

Food worth the trip. 4/5/2006

The decor needs sprucing up. However, the food is worth overlooking the sad worn appearance. Pros: EXCELLENT FOOD, INEXPENSIVE Cons: LIMITED PARKING, WORN DECOR more

The whole restaurant seemed run down. Salsa was bland and watery. The booth we stat at had rips and worn off tape for rips through the fake leather that curled up and poked my legs through the whole meal. more
