Best

Worst

We ate here after Mom & Pop's Pizza shop was driven out of buisness by this larger, more cookie cutter restrurant opened. It was nothing to shout about but when you are a buisness...

I've Tasted Better 2/22/2011

My husband and I went there the other night because the atmosphere looked fun and this place is pretty close to our house. When we got there the server was prompt and we ordered a cheese pizza and a salad to split. When the pizza came out the sauce was too runny and had hardly any taste, and the dough was too thick for a real Ny pizza. It wasn't very good at all. I mean it could be okay with like PHut or some chain like that, but for these prices the pizza should at least taste fresh and good. Salad was just okay. Really thought it would have been better, but there are a couple other places near by that are way better. more

So Far, It's Ho Hum 2/20/2011

We have been holding off on going to Amico's because it is so incredibly busy every time we go by. Tonight we decided to carry-out. The person who answered the phone was difficult to understand because of background noise. I had to call back in order to find out how long the wait would be. We ordered stromboli sandwiches, one Italian and one sausage. Mr. Man picked them up and said the staff was friendly and the place was busy. The sandwiches were ho hum. The marinara sauce for dipping had more flavor then both the sandwiches put together. The sandwiches looked good, but lacked seasoning. Some basil and oregano would have been a good place to start. The bread (described as rolled-up pizza dough) was not fully baked and resulted in a doughy product. There was nothing spicy about the Italian meat or sandwich. Really, it turned out to be nothing more than a ham and cheese sandwich, much more than an Italian stromboli. Next time we will try a pizza. After that, if the experience is not better, we will just leave it alone. Overpriced sandwiches that are bland and blah--- I fear the pizza will probably be the same. more

Overpriced 2/16/2011

Not a huge fan of Amico's. I live in the area and there's been a lot of buzz, but I was pretty disappointed with the food. We ordered just a cheese pizza, sauce was just bland, and the cheese wasn't all the way done. Pasta was okay, but overpriced - especially for the kids. Tried the cheesecake, was just okay. Nothing special. more

Great Pizza and Italian dishes.. 1/21/2011

My wife and I went to the opening night. She has the baked ziti and I had a couple of slices & a salad. The food was incredible. The service was excellent, which as we all know normally doesn't occur when places just open. We even met Anthony ""Amico"" and his wife that work there... Definitely a family run business. Highly recommend. more
