We are in town for a baseball 5/29/2012

We are in town for a baseball tournament. Thought this would be a great place to take the kids, so they could have some fun. We got the buffet, similar to Ci-Ci's pizza, not bad. MY 14 yr old plays a game that gives a chance to win an Ipad, Kindle, etc... He wins the Ipad, he is so excited! I am in disbelief! We hang around for about 30 more minutes, as we are leaving the manager runs up to us and says there is a problem. What??? Seems someone else said they won the Ipad, but it got ""stuck"". So they walk away from the machine to go tell the manager, (who does that?). So in a nut shell, they take the Ipad from my son, give it to the other people and basically tell us ""sorry about our luck"". They supposedly checked the cards and they said they played the machine before my son did. That does not mean they won it. When my son played the game the Ipad was not ""stuck"". We thought that since it could not be proven that they won it and we had possession, then they needed to give the other people one also and deal with it. But no, they took the Ipad from my child and gave it to the other people. Horrible customer service from the manager and a shift leader, assistant??, not sure what her title was. There is way more details to the story, but I just think the manager could have handled better. He became very rude, would not let me examine the computer where they scan the cards, told me I could not go back into the game room and look. But he let the other people go. My son was crushed and all he could say is that we would have to leave. The manager, a young smart mouthed kid was very rude. I thought that when I spoke with the General Manager/Managing Partner, I might get a bit more understanding. This guy proceeds to tell me the story that the manager told him and it is way, way different than the truth. Basically he said he believes his employee and not me. He would not even let me tell my side of the story completely. He kept interrupting me and telling me what his employee said. I told him his employee was a liar and that if they were a Christian based company they should get rid of that manager. He offered to ""host"" my family next time we come in. I live in Nashville, I will not ever be going back to that place. more

Memphis' not so incredible pizza company 11/9/2010

My wife and I take our children to Incredible Pizza frequently. We have discovered several fantastic employees, for example the blond woman who runs the ticket redemption shop is wonderful and bends over backwards to help us. However, we have also had some unpleasant experiences out there (not to mention the poor quality of the food and the ensuing tummy aches the next day) and at this point, those experiences are beginning to outweigh the positive and we are strongly considering not going back to this particular store. For example, there are two managerial figures who we've had bad experiences with. One, a short overweight man with dark hair, has been stopped by us several times to ask for help. He tells us that he'll go get someone to assist us with the particular issue we're dealing with and then proceeds to go hang out and chat with a group of employees. No one ever did come and help us either time, and when we finally went over, they said they had no idea we needed help and immediately helped us. On a third instance, they confirmed that he had indeed mentioned us to them, but rather than telling them we really did need help, he'd just treated the whole thing as a joke-that we were trying to cheat the company because their machine wouldn't give the promised tickets and we asked about it. We've gotten that attitude, that we're trying to cheat the company if we ask for fairplay and that the company stand by the advertised deal, several times both from this overweight man and from the man who appears to be the general manager of the place. His name is Michael and he's tallish, with dirty blond hair. My wife and I are Christians and the fact that IP advertises themselves as a Christian company is one of the reasons that we initially chose to go there. However, I believe strongly in honesty and respect toward others. The fact that IP, at least this particular one, employees false advertising on both their specials and the amount of tickets that their games give out makes me very unhappy. It is not something I would expect from a Christian company. Also, the fact that they treat their customers with such disdain when a machine that gives out the wrong amount of tickets is repeatedly brought to their attention is disturbingThere are some good employees, but when the management is as bad as it is at this store there's a real problem. . Our family will probably be switching to the Hickory Ridge store, even though it's a longer drive for us, in hopes of finding a better experience. more
