Ballet class recital on June 14 at 4:00 Tuesday 6/20/2011

The four students carefully performed the steps learned during the school year. They all concentrated so well, showing the audience what they learned. Plies, tandus, turns, and graceful curtsies were some of their delightful moves. Girls wore ballet class attire. Tutus added a lot. Towards the end of the show, butterfly wings were attached to girls' shoulders. This created more charming movements. I think American Dance Institute does a terrific job. As a grand mother, I brought one of the students to class each week and stayed to watch. What a difference in their abilities from fall to spring recital! more

Great place for kids! 6/13/2011

Good: I love the teachers. My daughter has been there for two and half years. Each teacher engages the children in their dance class. They are not overly strict with the younger kids, which means kids love the dance classes. Prices are reasonable and sessions are a semester long rather than shorter, which works great with the school year.. Bad: Nothing.. Improvements: None.. Other: All over a great place to take my daughter, she really enjoys the classes.. more

Dance, Dance, Dance 7/30/2005

The American Dance Institute features all sorts of dance lessons. Whether you are a beginner or not, it doesn't matter, they have tons of classes that you can sign up for. They offer ballet, jazz, hip-hop, breakdancing, tap, creative, hula, and parent & toddler dancing. Classes are offered all year round, and you have to register for them ahead of time. So if there is a dance that you really want to learn, this is the place to go. more

  • At the start of the twenty-first century, there were approximately 18,000 studios giving instruction in the dance art forms that individuals learn for enjoyment, in 2022 that estimate is almost 60,000. Despite the growing popularity for schools, the majority of people in the world learn to dance by watching and being guided. Students who attend dancing courses for fun range in age from preschoolers to elders. Preprofessional dance classes accept students who are chosen following an audition process, in contrast to recreational dance classes that are available to everyone. An amateur dancer may occasionally fall in love with a certain style and decide to pursue a career in it.
