went to the wine class 2/16/2012

I went to the wine class for novices this past weekend to expand my knowledge of wine. The material was very interesting and easy to understand for a newbie like me. Our teacher was great she really knew alot about wine and she made the time fly. After 2 hours I felt I was able to retain a majority of the information. We each received a workbook to take home with us and I am ready to put it to some good use. more

I took this class to make fast money, but I truly learned alot and enjoyed it. The thing I enjoyed most was the trainer and the students. Everyone was very enthusiastic and helpful it really made time go by quickly. more

Got my moneys worth... 2/9/2012

Because I needed a job and I wanted to have a fun job, that keeps me busy I took this class. The instructors were really good and thorough, especially at catching mistakes before they became bad habits. I feel that I truly I got my moneys worth here at American Bartending School! more

mixing and match 2/9/2012

I like to make up different drink flavors for my friends, and you know what they told me “you would make a great bartender”. So i signed up for a school that i thought was best for me. The instructor was fun and clear. the lessons were easy to learn and the hands on aspect was great .Howard was upbeat and fun to be around. He treated us great , very professional. The drills alone make it worth the money , you learn how to earn more money and that is a fact. more

Wine for Novice 2/4/2012

I registered to this class through a Groupon offer. This was a terrible class. First of all, I was under the impression that it will involve some wine tasting. There was not wine to taste, only non-alcoholic wine at the end of the class. There were about 30 people in the class that began at 8pm, by 8:30 there were only 10 people left. I left by 8:45. The instructor held and IPhone on one hand and note on the other and just walked back and forth behind the bar reading the notes, without stopping for questions or acknowledging anybody's questions. He went on talking about champagne without even given any previous basic information about different kinds of grapes or how wine is made. I felt cheat it. It was a ripoff!! I don't recommend taking this class!! more

Lifetime Refreshers 2/1/2012

I took this class because I love people, money and the night life. The fact that you can take refreshment classes at anytime for for life was only one of things I like best about the class. I recommend this class to everyone looking to get quality training. more

Great value 1/31/2012

Not having a job made me think of bartending school, I always wanted to learn this. I liked how the class room was set up like a real bar. Joe was always behind us coaching and giving encouragement, It was a good way to meet and work with all different types of people. more

For already being a bartender for over a year I was surprised how much more I learned. Howard was knowledgeable, fun and gave clear instruction. This class gave me information about the responsibility of bartending and more! more

Very good class! I learned the basic's of mixology , I now understand where all the drinks came from and their history. My plan is to start training at NYC best craft bars and this class helped me build a solid foundation. more

Making Good Money 1/26/2012

I wanted a skill in order to make good money. I also wanted official high quality training and certification so could get out there and land a primo job. The hands on approach and patience was fantastic! I learned a HUGE amount in 2 weeks. Now I really am rocking a wonderful bartender position and making great money! The money is great and the school delivered! 1/1/2012

I was looking for a part time job that paid great money. I work as a photographer and at times extra income is welcome. Bartending came to mind and I looked online and found American Bartending School. The class was easy and fun. The job placement really worked out well for me. The work hours as a bartender fit perfectly with my photo sessions. The money I make bartending is exceptional. No doubt the school delivered and trained me well and I found a fantastic bartending job. more

Expert Mixologist Graduate From Here 12/12/2011

Came here to learn more about being a mixologist and not just a bartender that opens beers and pours wine....anyone can do that! But I was looking to get a part time job to make some extra cash. I wanted to have the opportunity to get hired on at a 5 star establishment and make great money in tips. Not only did I land a wonderful job, but my vast knowledge of craft cocktails, martinis, classic and modern cocktails exactly what I was hoping to get out of my training. I would recommend American Bartenders School to everyone I know that is looking to get into this field. more

One of the best things I have done 12/3/2011

One of the best things I have done is taken the class at American Bartenders School. Since I was unemployed for 1 year from construction, my life was in a bad place. After taking the class everything has changed for me. The training was much easier than I expected. I was a long time since I had been to school and this wasn't even like being in school. I learned by making drinks behind the bar and my instructor was awesome. It feels good to be out of that unemployment hole and out in the work force. Working as a bartender is fun and the money is more that I ever expected! Thanks more

Something compelled me to write about my experience in bartending school. Working retail for the last year or so is not cutting it financially for me because of school and work . The hours stink and the pay sucks, so I was online and was looking a different options. I have friends that bartend and they make good money and have flexible schedules. Why not look into it, I did my research and found what worked best for me and my budget. The class was a blast and i learned more than i thought i would. I found out that bartending is just not about whiskey and coke, and opening beer. we learned old drinks and new ones also the history behind them. So I felt got what i needed to find a job. Howard suggested that I go to a hotel and start there, I took his advice and went on the interviews, It took about a week to find the place that was right for me. Now I am working as a bartender, and makeing good money putting my skills to use. You never know what going down a different road will bring , but this one brought cash. Thank you howard and lisa for all your help. more
