They came out to fix our AC, looked at the filter, said it was dirty and left after a $75 service call. We left for a week's vacation the next day and came home to a 90 degree house! When we called to have them come back, they wanted to charge us, not only another service call, but a $50 emergency fee because it was Sunday. They clearly failed to diagnose the original problem, but now won't come make it right without a $125 charge. We paid them to fix our AC, they didn't do it and now they want to charge us again. $200 and still nothing is fixed?? Will never call them again. more

I don't know how these guys are with dishwashers or fridges, but my furnace went out today and we were left high and dry by another company. We called these guys desperate at about 5pm, and they sent Merrill out by 7pm (that's a late call!). He identified the problem (broken motor) and replaced it within about 10 minutes. In addition to that, in spite of it being a late call--he was kind, patient, and explained the issue to me in details that I could understand. That's what makes a great contractor/repairman--if he can educate the customer, because that empowers the customer and helps keep the customer from being had in the future. I highly recommend, especially if you get Merrill. more

These are guys you can trust! 4/15/2011

Murray, UT We have an old dishwasher that has been ""fixed"" by other handymen over the years. It never seemed to get better, so we gave American Appliance a call to see if it was salvageable. We told them we were ready to just get rid of it and get a new one. The technician came over in a timely fashion and after assessing the situation, he quickly fixed the problem. Their rate was very inexpensive and our dishwasher works like new. We have since had them over for repairs on our air conditioner as well. Top notch service at a great price - these are guys you can trust! more
