Ambassador Dog & Cat Hospital

I found this place a few years ago and I love it. I know its not a glamour vet but come on, its a VET. The customer service was GREAT, I take my pets there regular and I had to leave them over night one time and had no problem at all. more

The receptionists and nurses were sooooooooooooooooo friendly and sincere. The doctor was very nice and knowledgeble as well. The costs are very logical and pretty inexpensive than other pst hopitsls I have been to. Highly recommend. more

I've been taking my doggy there for a year and I love it. The front desk staff always answers all my finanical questions and obtain the requested forms that I need for traveling purposes with my dog. No complaints at all! more

I had to take my dog, Valentino, there for emergency services in January and it was my first time. Although the prognosis for Valentino was heartbreaking, the doctors and staff were professional and courteous. more

It was thankful that they open 7days a week. exam room clean and neat. Doctors are really friendly and professional. When My dog had an accident on sunday I am almost panic because i couldn't find any dog hospital near La crescenta unitil open 4 pm. while my dog examed x-ray at ambassador dog and cat hospital front staff gave me tissues and a cup of water and doctor ( even i didn't know she was doctor) came to me to explain my dog be ok and hugged me. I am really relief there is Ambassador dog and cat hospital. more

My dog has been treated here a few times, had him neutered here and vaccined. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Hospital is organized, sanitary, and the doctor's are generous and caring. I've had only good experiences at Ambassador, so 5 stars! more

i took my dog in on Sunday[my reg. vet was closed]for an infected paw.turns out it was an imbedded foxtail.he had it removed,got meds and bandages and is doing fine.we got in right away,the man at the front desk was really sweet and i was so happy there was a sunday option for us. b/c of the negative reviews i probably wouldn't go here for an emergency again but for the basics it is good and reasonable. more

The staff seems to know what they are doing and answered all my questions no matter how silly it seemed. They are also very patient and work diligently to help everyone when the waiting room is packed more

Dr. Kumar has taken exemplary care of our family's pets for several years, and we have been extremely pleased with the caliber of care we have been provided. We always feel questions are welcome, and Dr. Kumar spends whatever time is required to provide answers, whether we are in the office or just speaking on the telephone. Somehow Dr. Kumar manages to remember our pets' strengths and weaknesses among all of her other patients. When one of our pets is ill, Dr. Kumar makes every effort to calm our fears while treating our pet in a gentle loving manner. Dr. Kumar phoned our home on more than one occasion inquiring as to the condition of an ailing pet, indicating genuine caring and concern, as well as willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Kumar for providing years of quality care to our beloved babies. Dr. Kumar's loving and understanding way makes us feel we have found the best veterinarian and new friend. more

This place is the most inconsiderate, rude, incompetent, and over priced pet hospital I have ever been to, I had the worst experience here this week. I took my cat here after a small knick that the groomer accidentally made on the front leg. Dr. Kumar looked at the wound for a minute, and said the wound needed stitches. After charging me over $300 for a few stitches, a different doctor (Dr. Kim) performed the operation. When I picked up my cat later that day, the entire arm was bandaged. After taking my cat home, the bandage on the arm just slid right off as the cat uncomfortable tried to walk around. As soon as the hospital opened the next day, I went in to get the wound checked and get it re-bandaged as necessary. We were unfortunately seen by Dr.Kim and as soon she walked in, she looked mad that I came back and literally accused me of taking the bandage off. After roughly handling my cat, rolling her eyes the whole time, she reluctantly agreed to redo the bandage. Holding my anger, I politely asked that the bandage put on so that it won't come off this time and to see if it would be possible to not bandage the entire leg. At this point, she scoffed at me like I just asked the stupidest question ever, did not address my question and just took my cat into the back. I was in shock when they finally brought my cat back out. They bandaged the entire front leg again, and this time they put the whole front chest in bandages. The doctor did not come back out to explain what and why this was done and when I asked the receptionist, all she wanted was to charge me AGAIN for the bandages and examination!! At this point, I contained my anger and took my cat to a real doctor. They carefully removed all the unnecessary bandages. When the bandages were being taken off, we found out that they put a strong tape right on the skin, all over the front leg. It took over 10 minutes to just take off all the stuff and it was painful to peel off all the tape. Please do NOT go here if you love your pet. more
