Amazing Siding & Windows

I would give zero stars if I could. Amazing Siding used unsupervised sub-contractors when putting hardiplank on our house. Because they neglected to put any flashing on the house, after 5 years we had mold, cracking caulk and drywall, peeling paint, rust marks on interior walls, water pouring through drywall returns during rainstorms. They did the bare minimum they thought they could get away with to repair the damage, and the workmanship there was no better. I posted a review on Angie's List and in the owner's response, he did not take responsibility for or ownership of his own company's work. I won't say that he lied, but if he didn't then either he was not told the truth by his staff or he is delusional. He never came out to see the damage. However, he is in damage control mode now and you can probably get a decent job at a decent price. His BBB record mean nothing. Legally, he barely stays within the requirements of the contract. It's interesting that the one tip on this site is from someone who actually hasn't had work done by Amazing Siding. I have. We paid $30,000 for hardiplank siding. The unsupervised subcontractors failed to put any flashing on the house, resulting in water damage, mold, peeling paint, even rust marks on interior walls. They did the minimum they thought they could get by with to repair the damage, and did additional damage to our house in the meantime (drove on our lawn, broke a cellular shade bracket and screwed the top bar directly to the drywall without discussing it with us!). I posted a review on Angie's List, and in the owner's rebuttal he did not take responsibility for or ownership of his own company's work, but instead was dismissive of the damage to our house, calling it ""a small leak."" Right....however, I notice they are in damage control mode now, and you may get a decent job at a decent price. But watch them very closely. Had the owner come clean, taken responsibility and tried to make things right we would have been happy with that, because things do happen. But instead, he tried to act like the damage to our home was not important, and we were making a mountain out of a molehill. I do not appreciate his cavalier attitude toward the damage his company did to our home. How would he feel if someone did that to HIS house? more

I must admit that they have a pretty catchy jingle which sticks in my head sometimes for days after listening to it on the radio. Hate retaining jingles when I don't want but that's another story. Well, I like the product this company offers which is siding fabricated with a form fitting insulation backing to give it more strengh and rigidity. However, they wanted more than what I was willing to spend so they did not get my business. more
