Amato One Hour Cleaners

Had my shirts laundered at this cleaners, when I got them back the collars where still stained, I informed the owner, he said that there was nothing he could do. Only thing I could try, he said was to dry clean them, which of course cost more $$$. I took it to another location informed them of the stains and they were able to clean them. more

05/11/2009 AWFUL!!!! This store had ruined my new $300 dress (an obvious rent caused by a needle) during alterations. When I pointed this out, the owner denied the possibility that this could happen in his store and stated that I bought the dress in that condition. Later, he changed his story and stated that I myself ruined my own dress so that I could argue for a discount (!???). When I read the review posted above mine, I realized that this seems to be a rather common occurence at this store. I would NOT RECOMMEND going there. Very insulting experience. more

I have been a customer of this dry cleaner for years and have always experienced not so great customer service over the phone but never as bad as today. The employees are usually very kind, but owner/mangament has always been a bit rude to customers and to the employees. I called in today with a question and my call was handled so rudely and the person hung up the phone on me. I called back in and it turned out it was the owner who then admitted to hanging up the phone on me just because he ""wanted to."" So odd....... I then googled the cleaners for reviews just out of curiosity and found other negative reviews. I felt badly leaving a negative review as I have never done this with any establishment, so I called him in the kindest manner possible to inform him of the existing negative feedback online and he was again so nasty. I am so dissappointed that after informing him that I had been a customer of his for over 7 years he still handled me with disrespect. Not only is he losing me as a customer but several family members and friends as well. I have referred so many people to his cleaners due to the convenient location, not at all for quality. Sometimes you stick with one cleaners out of habit and routine, but there really is no need.....there are many great cleaners on South Beach. After finding the listing for this drycleaner on CitySearch I was eager to call and get more information. Unfortunately the gentleman who answered the phone flatly refused to provide me with an average price or range of pricing for a typical shirt or pair of pants. His response leads me to wonder what he has to hide and whether my clothing would suffer the same insenstive treatment... Cons: Poor customer service. more
