If you have time, go watch the Gorillas. I have only gone once, but it was fun. If you have kids they will love it. Their mascot does a great job of being a crazy annoying mascot--you know, the kind kids love but that you would like to covertly form tackle. They often have discount nights or you can buy bulk tickets for cheaper. Try to go on one of the cheaper nights. I wouldn't say that it is the best thing in Amarillo by any means, but I think that it is definately worth going to a game or two a year...especially if you have kids. more

Something to do with the kids 2/27/2006

So, we have a small little hockey franchise called the Gorillas. This makes for a good night out with the kids. They always try to be very family oriented, and the games are fun. The ticket prices aren't bad, they offer family packages the entire season, or group discounts. Of course, the best part is always the fighting. more
