Ama Kids

I LOVED my daughters first hair cut. She just turned 12 months and had horrible seperation anxiety so I was expecting a big fuss but something about the way both of the ladies treated her just made her feel at ease right away. I would definately recommend Ama kids. :) more

Lolis & Mike's on Zaragosa is so unprofessional. Called and left messages countless times and I never received a call back. I stopped by countless times and it was always closed. Then their number got disconnected. I got tired of the run around and got referred to AMA Kids by a friend who highly recommended them after Lolis & Mike's butchered her daughters hair. I was satisfied with the service at AMA Kids. They were very friendly and and very patient. more

the person that did the hair cut for my son and daughter ruin it, she had beautiful curls and she cut it super short i told her just a trim, and my sons hair too, now i wished i read the reviews before going there, but good thing i found a new place called Lolis & Mike kids Spa on 1441 N Zaragoza suite 14C, and the phone number is 915-849-6796, if they ruin it take your kids out of there and go to Lolis & Mikes. i hope the owner gets new hair stylist that are professional from now on. more

i took my son to get a mohawk there and the lady did it so fast that she cut him with the clippers! and his hair was crooked in patches and uneven it was terrible! we had gone before they moved from the northeast and it was a lot better service than what they give now at Lee Trevino. when i asked if she could fix it she told me it was my sons fault and that he wasn't going to sit still enough for her to fix it yeah well you cut him with the clippers lady of course hes going to be afraid of you now!!! i don't recommend this place at all!! i've also see the way they style the little girls hair they drench their hair in gel or hair spray and then curl it! you can see all the smoke coming from their hair! they have terrible social skills and they don't even give you quality hair cuts for the 15 bucks that they are charging my child should not be bleeding and he should have straight hair! ridiculous! i will NEVER GO BACK AND I HAVE TOLD ALL OF MY FRIENDS TO NEVER TAKE THEIR KIDS THERE! more

I took my 20 month old son to get a haircut here. The staff was so nice and attentive that he was actually enjoying the haircut! Which was amazing to me because any other place I have taken him to he has always put up a struggle. One of the girls actually sat down in front of him and was singing him songs and playing with him the whole time. I have never received this type of customer service at any salon. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AMA KIDS! more

If I could give this place a 0 stars out of 5 I would. I took my daughters to get haircuts, hair styles and manicures. The haircut for my first daughter was done in less than 2 minutes. I knew it couldn't be right so I checked it and I was cut crooked and jagged everywhere. The ladys answer to me was that she is used to having very young children in there and so she has to do them very fast. My daughter is 10, she is quite capable of sitting still for a haircut. I am used to taking her to nicer places that take their time and make sure it is even and check with me if it is okay. This lady started styling her hair before I even had a chance to check it. I had to stop her and ask to check it and good thing I did! It is still crooked even after her supposedly fixing it, so now I will have to pay to take her somewhere else to fix it .Her bangs are crooked too, with a big chunk of hair hanging down lower right in the middle, Same thing with my other daughter. Her bangs are so messed up we can just pray that they grow out fast. One side is so much longer than the other but she would look ridiculous if I trimmed it to match the short side. My youngest daughter is embarrased to have to go back to school with bangs like that. They styled their hair wet and with so much product that it stayed looking wet all day, plus it was flaky and crunchy from all the product. The ""manicure"" consisted of only polishing their nails, not anything else you would expect from a manicure, and the polish started coming off the first time they washed their hands. By the next day it was gone. Probably because they used one coat of nailpolish only and didn't even put on a topcoat. I could have done that at home. When you go out for a manicure you expect more than one coat of polish. What a joke this place is. The workers barely spoke to us and were rude. It is an awful place. It was not worth the money we spent. more

I thought my kids would be safe when i took them to get their haircuts. But i was wrong. The ladies were rude and did not care what i wanted my kids done. One lady cut my sons ear and proceeded to tell me he moved. My son didnt move at all. I know this because i as his mother and a stylist myself, i know my kids. my daughters hair is a nightmare and i had to take her home to fix it myself. I dont recommend this salon to anyone. If anything i will tell everyone i know not to take your kids there. I dont want anyone from the salon to contact me either. I have found a new place and yes it is the other kid salon and they are GREAT! Pros: there is nothing good to say Cons: This business will never make it more
