We took a long weekend trip to Girdwood, Alaska for this gem of a resort. We went in February and were highly thrilled with the amenities, the skiing, and just the entire resort and staff in general. They had the best setup, you could walk right out the back door and catch a chair lift to go to the ski center (or you could take a bus, but why bother?). They rent anything you could need and were very helpful fitting me, as it was only my second time skiing and I had no idea what I needed really.
The snow was well groomed and powder like you wouldn't believe. There were practically no lift lines, I think the longest I waited was maybe a minute or two. Plenty of ski runs for just about any skill level, and beautiful scenery on the way up the chair lift.
The hot tub located near the pool was a Godsend after a long day of skiing so definitely don't pass it up.
You really need to eat at Seven Glaciers on the mountaintop at least once. And the main diningroom for breakfast is phenomenal!
I cannot say enough good things about this resort, if I had the time right now, I'd go tomorrow.
