We had an issue where everytime water ran down the sink or bathtub drain our toliet would start to overflow. We called Solid Plumbing the day after Thanksgiving. At the end of the visit he charged me $185 because he said we didn't have an overflow valve so he had to dig down approximately 2 feet to reach it. He also told me they could bring it up the two feet and would do it for only $600. Yikes! Less than 2 weeks later the same problem starts to occur. I check the backyard and the hole that was dug (and never recovered) is overflowing with waste water. I call Solid Plumbing and tell them that their plumber didn't put the cap back on the pipe, left the hole open, didn't finish snaking the line, and they needed to come out to fix it. She proceeds to tell me that they can come out but will charge me $125 an hour. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Nope, she also tells me that THEY DON'T GUARANTEE THEIR WORK!!! So if their plumber left the cap off, they are sorry but there is nothing they can do about it unless they charge us. Oh and get this!! She then tells me that they would still be more than happy to come out and fix that 2 -foot of line for an additional $600. We have decided to replace the entire sewer line ourselves.....the cost?? Less than $100. SOLID PLUMBING IS NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF CROOKS WHO WON'T EVEN GUARANTEE THEIR WORK TO LAST!!!!
