Good: Super fast order to install time, In fact it was the same day I ordered the service. The service tech was courteous and knowledgeable. The speed of the connection was faster than any cable or DSL I had had before. This wireless connection cranked out a full 32Mb/s. Bad: 100Gig download limit per month. Which would cause overage charges if I were a Netflix monkey.. Improvements: on the rare occasions I have trouble late at night their office is closed. 24 Hour support would be nice. Other: All in all this service is a cable and DSL killer. I was confused that it was satellite service and the installer gently reminded me that it was terrestrial. Which was good because when I play Halo III I consistently have negligible lag times. All in all its an awesome connection. The only thing better to get is a Utopia fiber connection.. more

Altazip provides a great level of service for dial-up and fast, broadband internet connections, at reasonable prices. Honest and hard-working, the staff seems quite busy -- maybe too busy(?). Recently people have told me that support can be hard to get if you have problems, due to the staff being so busy. This is, of course, a testament to the high value of their services. And when I have talked with them they seemed very intelligent, informed and helpful. If Centracom can't bring cable to your home, or Qwest can't serve your home with DSL, then the only realistic broadband option (satellite's prices are sky high), is Altazip's wireless internet service. This isn't WiFi and requires special equipment, so there are significant installation charges involved. But the monthly price has been reasonable, competitive with cable or DSL internet.. And boy, it seems to be really fast, and work just great... Unless there's a problem which needs service, and what with their being so busy, it can be difficult to get it fixed quickly.
