We always receive caring and helpful service from everyone at Alta View. Whether it's the support staff or the vets, these people go out of their way to make sure you and your pets are comfortable and taken care of. I really appreciate all the hard work you all have done for foxy and me in the past few years. more

Its always a great visit 3/21/2012

We had yet another great visit with Dr. Ghumman earlier this week. Lucky has pretty bad allergies so it has been interesting learning how to deal with all of that to say the least. Dr. Ghumman has always explained everything so well and has just been a great help. The good news is it seems like Lucky has grown out of many of her allergy problems! more

Great vet experience! 3/5/2012

I recently brought in Stinkers, my 5 month old dachschund in to see the vet here at Alta View. This being my first pet I was sort of unsure of the whole process and all that so it was kind of nerve racking. \r \r However much to my surprise it was a simple process and the woman handling the front that morning was amazingly helpful knowing I was new to being a pet owner. Anywho... she got me in and out right away, the doctor was cool and gave a complete exam in the room as well as vaccinations. I sscheduled a recheck/follow vaccination then was on my way. Stinkers left happy, and so did I :)\r \r Only 1 issue for me, hardly worth noting, but the parking lot was a pain to maneuver my truck out of haha. 4 solid stars easy. more

I LOVE this vet 12/7/2011

I LOVE this vet. I recently switched from a vet in Oakland because i just moved, and what a huge difference! Most importantly, they really seem to care about you and your animal. They are sweet and friendly, definitely show my little Boston Terrorist lots of love, and after he got into something at the beach that made him sick, they went above and beyond to make sure he was ok. They even called me three times to follow up and see how he was doing! \r \r Not only that, but Dr. Ghumman was open minded to homeopathic solutions to my pup's allergies, which my previous vet wasn't. Bostons are notoriously allergic, and it helps to have a vet that can make suggestions other than cortisone shots every time it gets bad, since that's a pretty harsh form of treatment. He also had great nutritional advice for my pup (I make his food, and my previous vet wouldn't offer any information on this) and offered to refer me to a nutritionist. \r \r These guys are thorough, attentive, kind and best of all, they don't take any chances with your wee one.I am definitely a new devotee- these guys are highly recommended :)\r \r more

Overall wonderful place to bring your pet.\r I love Dr. Ghumman, he really takes a personal interest in our 'delicate creature' and called to check up on him when he was really sick. he even gave us his cell phone to give him updates on the weekends. Front office staff is really nice and helpful. \r I wouldn't trust another vet.\r \r more

my cat loves you!!! 10/27/2011

Dr. Ghumman saved my cat's life when two other local vets said she wouldn't have a chance. I got updates, information and comfort throughout the day while my cat was hospitalized. This vet is good and he cares, and if you haven't noticed this then I wonder who YOU are and what type of client YOU are. I am a small business owner and am forever amazed at how critical people are when in fact it is they who are difficult to deal with. That being said, I give these people 5 stars; from the cute girl at the front desk, to the vets...they have been wonderful. more

I have been going to Alta View for well over 10 years. Dr.Ghumman He is very good with my animals and is very honest with me, he only recommends what is best for my pets. Sometimes I misunderstand him, but I have no problem asking him to repeat what he said. My pets are my life and my love, I trust the entire crew at Alta View. One day I made an appointment for my dog and I met the new associate doctor, Dr.Gurushau. She is very nice and is very caring with my pets needs, glad she is there.The hospital is very clean and the staff is so nice to visit, they really care when we walk in the door for our visit. Keep up the good work!\r \r more

I've been taking my rescue lab here for about 5 years. I love the vets and the front room staff. They are sensitive to financial issues, send reminders about vaccinations. more

Absolutely the best Veterinary practice I've ever experienced!\r \r We've tried a few different places over the years, but when our dog got a bite, I wanted a place that would really care about him. gaby on the iPhone picked out a few "Recommended Veterinarians", and based on the reviews of this place, their straightforward website, and gut instinct, I took LBW over here.\r \r The staff welcomed him in like they knew him, then Dr. Paul Ghumman took care of him, the experience was great and pleasant for him, and the overall Bill was very reasoanble.\r \r Absolutely Marvelous. more

love it!!! 10/5/2011

Brought my lionhead rabbit, little king, here for the first time for a checkup and nail trim. Dr. Ghumman was the one who helped me and he was awesome. It's not easy finding a vet that is experienced with taking care of rabbits but Dr. Ghumman seemed very knowledgeable.\r \r I was very surprised how gentle he handled little king when he examined him. I brought my rabbit to another vet months before coming here and looking back, I feel that vet handled little king like he was getting ready to slaughter him. The first vet experience I had, the vet grabbed him by the neck and held him down on the back to examine his genitals. Over here at Alta View Animal Hospital Dr. Ghumman had an assistant to hold little king up so he could examine the genitals. It was completely a different experience coming here. Another thing about this place is they seem to do all the procedures in the back room. \r \r All the staff were really nice and they seemed experienced with pets. My rabbit is pretty healthy s more

not as bad as I used to think they were 9/11/2011

these guys used to be pretty careless, but they do try to keep their costs down for the pet owners. Adobe Pet Clinic across the street costs nearly twice what Alta Vista charges for just walking in the door. \r In an real emergency, it probably doesn't matter, it would come down to whom ever puts the pet back together best and quickest - without making you wait and have your pet suffer would get my vote. But trying to make routine shots and vaccines and pet maintenance affordable is worth the trip to ALTA VISTA. more

? I've been taking my cats here for years, The Boys were always treated like royalty. They always enjoyed it when I went on vacation, because this place was there home away from home. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. I highly recommend 6/27/2011

I highly recommend Dr. Ghumman and Alta view animal hospital. Our kitty is always well taken care of, and Dr. Ghumman is so gentle and understanding with kitty, and so patient with me! He answers all my questions and someone from the office always calls to check up when we bring kitty in for non-routine things. The hours are convenient. more

Familys vet 6/24/2011

Very friendly vet assistants and doctors. I never had trouble making appts at a convenient time. Everything I needed they gave me. I've brought both of my dogs to them and will be bringing my third pooch here as well. Let's not discuss my family's obsession with animals now though....I'm just glad these kind folks take care of my family's obsession...and the objects of it. Both doctors are attentive, gentle, and I go out of my way to bring my pets here. I've also bought several products from them, like doggie toothpaste. more

5 stars!!!!! 6/8/2011

We love Alta-view ! Dr. Ghumman is amazing! I tried out a few vets before finally settling on him, and I've been very happy ever since. He always gives my little dog lots of attention and love when he sees her and makes us feel very comfortable. I have had other good vets, but Dr. Ghumman is the first I've had who makes me feel like he actually loves his job and the animals he works with. I really do appreciate how he does his best to keep costs low for us. I don't trust many people with my little girl, but he is definitely one of the best vets I've ever had. \r \r I also really love this place because I went to see my pups X-Rays in the back room, I noticed that they had someone in the kennel room who recognized my pup immediately and gave her a very friendly hello. At that moment, I was sold on this place. I hate to think about my little dog having to sit alone and scared in a kennel all day, especially after getting put under, so I was so happy to know that Alta-view had someone there more

I have a 3 year old lab who got very long object/piece of fabric stuck in his stomach and intestine. Dr. Ghumman was amazing. He clearly set the treatment expectations and procedures. After the major surgery was completed he set my dog up with a post care clinic for observation, and 3 days later my dog is back to himself. You can never prepare for the emotional and financial impact of an emergency like this, but Dr.Ghumman walked me through every scenario. more

best Dr. 6/8/2011

My cat lily had seen dr. Paul since 1999 for checkups, boarding and for a year now for his kidney failure. I had to see Dr. Paul last week when I made the difficult decision to put one of my cats down. He had an advanced form of kidney failure that the doctor had explained would involve daily medication for the rest of his life. I love my cat and to put him through pain every day would not seem fair. Dr. Paul was very helpful, if I ever get another pet i will definitely bring him to Alta view more

best place for my pet 6/7/2011

I would recommend this hospital to anyone who wants great patient care and personal attention. The service is fast and the prices are reasonable. When we went there we expected to pay A LOT, since we had a lot of work done to my dog, but it was actually a great price and a lot lower that we thought. The staff does a great job on taking good care of my dog. My dog loves the doctor and is always happy to see him. This place is the best more

When our dog twist had a serious kidney ailment Dr. Paul explained all the details and types for treatment available. Dr. Paul and he is experienced and caring. Ever sense I have been bring twist to Alta-View for check up and boarding. The doctor is very good with our pet and helps with any problem we have I can't imagine going anywhere else. Alta-View has done a great job and I thank them for it. more

love this place 6/7/2011

\r I've been bringing my cats here since 2003. I've even boarded my cat here, and the people are really reasonable, whenever I pick up my cats Mr. Knee and Chiquita there are always clean well feed and seem happy. The guys that work there are just grate and I always feel safe living my cats whit them. I recommend this place\r \r more
