Bad Experience With Him 7/31/2009

My mother was his patient for over 10 years. When she had a car accident and was in the hospital he would not see her. When her dementia became worse, he examined her for dementia and never interviewed the family, then wrote his opinion stating ""she is not demented"" along with ""she had a skull fracture and concussion."" She never had either. He has no idea the difficulties he made us go through and could care less. Pros: He is in Tucson Cons: Not at all responsive, gets things wrong more

Very Satisfied 7/2/2007

I have seen Dr. Zwart since last year when was dignosed with Hashimotos and looking to get pregnant. Dr. Zwart was very informative about the disease and how to treat it during pregnancy. When I did get pregnant he took the time to answer all of my questions and eased my mind of concerens that I was having. I had weekly and biweekly bloodwork done and he would call personally with the results the next day everytime! He is the best doctor that I have worked with. He truly seems to care about his patients and makes the extra a=effort to let you know that you are good hands. Thanks Dr. Zwart for your dedication to your patients! more

Pulling teeth is right 1/8/2007

I went to Dr. Zwart with little to no information about hypothyroidism. I left with the same basic info. I have severe depression in addition to hypothyroidism but he relayed NO info about the enormeous link between the two and the necessity of keeping med straight, on time, etc. I never really felt much better after starting the Levothyroxine, but he said ""he wouldn't need to see me again"" that my OB/GYN could monitor my levels. Since hypothyroidism has such a dramatic effect on depression, you would assume that he would want to keep on top of them himself on a regular basis. I am trying to find a better doctor and would very much appreciate any name that could be passed my way. Cons: Does't ask enough questions more

Sander Zwart 10/24/2006

Dr. Zwart is very knowledgeable and though busy, always seems willing to take the time to talk about my concerns. He took the necessary tests to prove I had transitioned from Type 2 diabetes to Type 1 (which is normally though of as juvenile diabetes. At the time I was 48; he and his staff were very diligent about getting me an insulin pump through my insurance company and that isnt easy. more

Nice Staff / Difficult Doctor 10/23/2006

The staff is very friendly and good at their various jobs, but I found Dr. Zwart most unhelpful. more
