Alpine Dental Care

My wife and I have been going to Alpine Dental since it opened! In fact, we were patient's of Dr. Huang since his days working in San Mateo! When Dr. Huang moved down to Cupertino in 2002, my wife and I would drive down the peninsula some 30 miles to see Dr. Shane! We do it because he is that good and we really don't want anybody else touching our teeth!I am not going to be long and borning with my review but I will just say you are not doing yourself any favors if you live in the area and you don't goto this office!The office ambience is state of the art and it has all the bells and whitsles you can think of but that is not the reason I recommend this office because all those things can be bought, what cannot be bought is a great dentist who simply knows his craft and practices with a great deal of patience and understanding of his patients' fears more

Dr. Shane Huang has been my wonderful dentist for quite a few years. I have had many challenges regarding my teeth over the years and Dr. Huang has been the most helpful in guiding and helping me to repair my problems. He is gentle and knowledgeable and very clear in his directions as to the steps to take regarding dental hygeine.Most importantly, he is the only dentist I have ever gone to that cleans his patient's teeth. In this way he is able to get a very detailed examination of my mouth and does not rely on his dental assistant's opinion. I have recommended quite a few friends and they have been very happy under his care. more

I just came back from my appointment. I have been avoiding the dentist for a very long time 3 years because I absolutely HATE the dentist! Anyways, I will have to say that this was probably the quickest and most painless cleaning I have ever had. It was very quick and simple. He didn't use the sharp needle looking device that scrapes off the junk on your teeth. He was very nice and explained things carefully. I'll be going again in May to get some cavities filled so I'll let you know how that goes since I've had the worst experience with that! more

When I took a job with Apple and moved out to the Bay Area last year , I had some unresolved dental issues and one of my first missions was to find a dentist! Through some referalls in the office, I found Alpine Dental Care and Dr. Shane Huang. I am not going to be long winded and go into detail about my poor teeth! But what I will say is if you are looking for a friendly, honest and detailed dentist, Dr. Shane is your guy! I am an engineer so I am detailed to a fault so when Dr. Shane answered my endless questions during my first visitFree Consult no less, I was sold! I have since had 2 awesome metal free zirconia Crowns done, everything has felt great! Dr. Shane also has one of the most friendly staffs around! I gave them my insurance card and they pretty much estimated everything to the dot for me! Impressive! Oh each room in the office has a flat screen which is a nice touch and the office is in this little plaza with easy parking and you just walk right up to the office! Definite 5 stars and highly recommended! more

I have been going to Alpine Dental shortly after they opened. The people there are very professional and friendly. The feeling I got from the clinic is elegant and upbeat at the same time. That must be from the bloom of well kept orchids and modern super high def flat screen TV. You can always find the smile from the receptionist. I mean who wouldn't be happy working in such a nice environment. They made an effort working with my schedule even I had to change the time a few time. I love the fact that they always called a few days priori the appointment in person after a friendly email reminder a few weeks earlier. They do an xray for me every year and Dr. Shane would go through the result with me in detail. Last year, I was recommended to have a filling as there was a shadow in the xray. Thank god they find it not me. It would have been a lot more painful and certainly would have left a mark. Knowing I am extremely sensitive to any pain of any kind, they made sure it is as painless as possible and sure enough it was. I was thoroughly impressed. For the people that are afraid of going to dentist like I was, you could become the person like me making sure to go twice a year. more

My husband has been seeing Dr. Shane Huang since 2002 and I started seeing him 6 years ago when I got married and moved to the Bay Area. I have always taken pretty good care of my teeth but have always hated my ugly metal fillings that I have had since I was a teenager! Dr. Huang replaced them with tooth color fillings painlessly and now my teeth look and feel better than ever! Also, one of the biggest differences I have noticed between Alpine and other offices I have been to is how efficiently they handle my insurance, I never once had any surprises like I always have in other places! I have moved around quite a bit and have seen quite a few dentists and quite honestly, Dr. Huang and his staff at Alpine Dental Care are simply the best I have seen. So if you need a dentist, go here! more

I chose Alpine Dental based on the reviews I saw on Yelp as well as Dr. Shane's training at Tufts University Dental School! Being from Boston, Dentist from Tufts University are pretty much the ones you want to go to! Well anyways, with all the moving I have done in the past few years, seeing a dentist regularly has been nearly impossible! During my first visit ,I was pretty much blown away by the friendliness of the staff and Dr. Shane himself! Also, this office is super modern and clean with all the technology gadgets you can imagine! First visit, Dr. Shane's assistant greeted me, nice fella, took my Xrays and led me to my room. The room has a flat panel TV in the corner so I was able to finish watching my Boston Celtics! So Dr. Shane came in, went over my history and did my cleaning and exam. He then clearly and thoroughly explained to me what he saw when he was during my cleaning bleeding gums and showed me my cavities on the digital xrays. Now I cannot say any of those things surprised me but it was just nice to hear a dentist take the time to explain it clearly to me! Now I am used to going to offices where I get a cleaning from a Dental cleaner and at the end the Dentist jumps in for like 3 seconds and pretends to know me and tells me I have all sorts of problems! I frankly felt like the Dental teeth Cleaner was my dentist! It's refreshing to be in an office where the Doctor actually takes as much time to explain things as Dr. Shane does! I Proceeded to have a Deep Scaling, 3 fillingsthey are white woohoo! and a crown done by Dr. Shane. And I can say everything feels great and my gums don't bleed anymore! That's about it, I highly recommend this office! more
