Easily the best bakery on LI. I've grown up with these pastries for over 27 years, and the freshness and consistency continues to remain.

Worst

I bought some of the small ones today and was terribly disappointed. Top was dry and the cream wasn't that creamy. Disappointed.

Alpine Pastry Shop 11/28/2008

This outstanding bakery is in the shopping center where Uncle Giussepe is located. They make the best 'lobster tails" in the universe!! The cream is supreme and the shell is perfect. (All our out of town visitors put in their request for the "tails") . Their cannolis are quite good, too. more

Awesome ice cream cakes 9/21/2006

This place is located in the back corner of a shopping center. It is almost hidden, but those in the know are well aware of its location. My favorite treat from this place is their ice cream cakes. They sometimes have some in the cases in the front, but it is best to order them in advance. The jelly donuts here are also very tasty. Sometimes the lines here get long. They even have ropes for people to wait behind. more

Located in a shopping center off rt.111, this sweet heaven offers countless selections of oh-so-good pastries, cakes, muffins, cookies, etc. ( fresh bread / rolls too ) at fair prices considering what they're worth in taste alone. PROS: If you're looking for specialized Italian cookies and cakes, go here. CONS: If the store's busy, except to wait and the staff to be less-than-friendly more

Great Bakery 5/27/2005

This is one of the best bakerys on eastern Long Island. Great place to get custom birthday or special occassion cakes. Try the ice cream cake, but order in advance. Good selection of Italian pastries and cookies. Fresh donuts and coffee in the morning and great seven-layer cake. Lines can get long on weekend mornings, but it only proves that this is a great establishment. Parking is easy as this bakery is located in a shopping center. PROS: Tasty and fresh. CONS: None. more
