Best Vet Ever! 11/21/2013

I must be the only person in the whole world that has animals that LOVE going to the vet! My husband and I have 5 animals: 3 dogs and 2 cats. Both cats have heart issues that require medication; one is also an insulin dependent diabetic and the other has allergies that require medication and prescription food. One of my dogs also has allergies that require medication and as a puppy he had bilateral luxating patella - a condition that can require surgery. We were terrified of surgery but Dr. Roberts was very hopeful and suggested V.O.M. treatments. This treatment is similar to a chiropractic adjustment and is pain free. The treatments were affordable and best of all - they worked! My dog can walk, run and jump with zero problems. It's hard to not see this as a miracle! The doctors and staff at Allison Lane Animal Hospital are very kind, knowledgeable and obviously love animals. They are able to help me keep track of what all my animals are due for, and my animals receive t more

Expert Vet with personal touch. 11/21/2013

I have been a customer at Allison Lane Animal Hospital for over 5 years now. The level of service that is provided is outstanding. The doctors, especially Dr. James Roberts has shown tremendous care and expertise for my dog Coco. These doctors and the staff not only 'treat' ailments with careful judgement and knowledge, but they are also genuine in their affection for their animal clients all while treating their human clientele with the upmost respect. With unexpected phone calls to check on Coco and doing everything they can to keep her well, I just cannot say enough about this animal practice. Another perk of Allison Lane is that my wallet isn't completely empty when I leave there. With past pets, I had used another animal practice and I always felt price gauged. I truly believe Allison Lane Animal Hospital is a real gem in our community. more

THE BEST ANIMAL HOSPITAL 11/21/2013

Allison Lane Animal Hospital is the ONLY place we would ever take our dogs. We have been taking our dogs to the two Drs. Roberts since they took over the animal hospital and my wife and I would not think of taking our dogs anywhere else. The care, compassion, knowledge, and yes, love they show every one of them is wonderful. They have always taken the time to explain every single aspect of our dogs' needs to us, giving us choices, and explaining thoroughly the cost factors of each item, allowing us to make any choices we wish. NEVER, I repeat NEVER at any time have they ever failed to disclose any costs we might incur. In closing let me say, if you love your pet, you will not find a better vet practice than this one. more

Worst Vet EVER 11/19/2013

This is the worst vet ever. Stay away! They over vaccinated my dog. They constantly charge more than what they quote, and refuse to adjust the bill. Each office staff member has no idea what is going on. They cant explain the charges, and will lie through their teeth about previous quotes provided. The office manager told me that dogs are covered under HIPAA laws (UMM....HIPAA LAws are for humans!) and could not discuss my dogs account with me because only my husband was listed on the account. Funny thing is that I was able to pick up and pay for my dog only a month before?!?! I had to demand that she review previous paperwork, to which she discovered that I was actually listed on the account. Office manager also told me that by leaving my dog with them for boarding, I am authorizing them to perform any and all medical treatments that they decide are needed, without further consent. more

I overwhelmingly agree with Christie. We are so please with the care that our dog gets there. She's an 11-year old German Shepherd and she's showing her age. They are so good with her. She's seen several of the doc's there but Dr. Hoffman is now our primary doctor and she's very thorough. She explains everything very well and encourages questions. I've been to vets where it's obvious what their motivation is, money. I really feel that the Dr. cares about my dog. And dittos on the grooming. Tonya's 1st rate as well. I can't say enough about the clinic, staff, groomer and doctors. more

Excellent Doctors, Groomer, and Support Staff 11/9/2007

All of the folks at Allison Lane Animal Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN are top notch. They are not only very caring with all of my pets, but they are just as caring for the owners. Dr. Melanie Roberts is the best! When I had to put my cat Max down a few years back she explained everything that we could possibly do to help him and all of the cons of the entire situation. She let me stay with him until he was gone and was very compassionate. Tanya Raymer is the best groomer in the entire area! She is fantastic with all of the animals she takes care of and does a GREAT job. I have a little Lhasa Apso who is old and crippled and very hard to groom because he has trouble standing for a long period, but Tanya is just fantastic with him. All of my pets get excited when they see her! more

They practice with HEART! 2/19/2007

There is no doubt these doctors care for our animals. When we lost one of our dogs a couple of years ago, the doctor was nearly in tears with me as I grieved the loss. That shows a lot of heart goes into their practice, and that is important to us. \r We also like that they send in an assistance to help with the dogs during the exams, treatment, etc. They are all very good at their jobs and clearly also love the animals. My dogs actually are excited to go to the vet (of course, they are excited to go anywhere in the car). :-) \r I highly recommend Allison Lane Animal Hospital. Pros: Top notch animal hospital - they truly care Cons: Possibly a little pricey, but they are all excellent vets more

Extra care 2/15/2006

The veterinarians and staff are extremely knowledgable and kind. The only downside is that they are very busy, and groomings have to be scheduled 3 weeks in advance. more
