Allen's Plumbing Supply

Will not take returns under any circumstances. Now stuck with a $700.00 pump we can't use. It's in original box, never used, and have receipt. I'm extremely surprised a firm who markets to consumers and is trying to compete with HD & Lowes doesn't accept returns if the customer accidently purchases the wrong part. Will never buy anything there again. more

Very Rude! Two employess were both rude to me. When I purchased an item and asked a question about it a woman employee was rude to me. Then I had to return the item (it was a shower connector) the ball inside of the connector was not tight enough to hold my shower head up. And there was NO way to tighten it. A male employee took my return, with the reciept & original packaging... and when I told him the problem and that there was something wrong with the connector his response was... There is nothing wrong with this! I told him that I must have a really, really heavy shower head then ... if I had read the reviews here first... I would NOT have gone to the store. I would not reccommend this business to anyone and the employees are not professional at all!!! more

I called looking for a price on a furnace. The woman who answered was not nice....asked for the model number and put me on hold. Another woman picked up and said, ""Can I help you"". I told her I was on hold for a furnace and she said, ""Yup what is the model number"". Put on hold again and this time a guy picked up the phone....very rude also....and again, ""What can I help you with"". I had to start all over with my situation. How rude!!! The first person should have said, ""I will switch you to so and so...instead of putting me on hold and tossing me around like a Yo-Yo. Consequently, I went White's Plumbing and they were very professional and helpful. Allen's Plumbing will never get my business. more

Allen's Plumbing Supply has been nothing but fantastic. The service is excellent, just make a phone call if you need to source a part, they will help you even if you aren't buying. Some of the reviews I've read here are pretty scathing. Just think before you post, people, please. You wouldn't want someone to do it to you... and the internet is a BIG place. That is all. more

Amazing, fantastic, outstanding! Allen's was the biggest help to my family and I. Our furnace broke down on an extremely cold day, leaving us with no heat. I called up Allen's and not only did they arrive same day, but they came within an hour of my call. The price was even reasonable. I can't say much else except if you haven't been to Allen's yet you are missing out. They have everything in house to buy, as well as their many services, such as replacing my furnace. \r \r THANK-YOU ALLENS!!\r \r (Their show on WICC is very entertaining and helpful as well) more

DO NOT SHOP AT ALLEN'S PLUMBING.\r \r I initially went to Allen's because of their local radio show, which seemed cool. My first purchase was minor (about $1200.00) for supplies to complete a small bath remodel, but with that purchase was the hope that the quality would be decent so I could feel comfortable purchasing from them for the next SEVERAL projects, the first of which was a replacement water heater.\r \r Regarding the water heater, I spoke with Johnny Allen, who told me that his staff would have to come to my house to give me an estimate on changing the water heater. No problem. I called to schedule. He then said, no, just email a photo of the current configuration and his company would give me an estimate based on the photo.\r \r I did just that, two weeks ago, with no reply. No answer, from Allen's plumbing, despite my follow-up email, in which I re-sent the photo, explanation, etc.. \r \r So, frankly and without reservation, to you who have money to spend, want quality combin more

Bought a new house on July 5th, had the new water heater installed and running on July 6th! Can't say enough about the service at Allen's. Unlike box stores, they not only sold me what i needed at a great price, but took the time to walk me through how to install it. more

They don't price merchandise and leave you to guess at the register how much you'll be overcharged. Buyers beware. Shop Home Depot in Derby instead, and if you need something special, go to White's. Pros: selection ok Cons: Overpriced, bad service, no refunds or exchanges more

I recently had my boiler leak on our floor. My oil service man quoted me $7000 to replace. I called Allen's and spoke to a gentleman Chris. Over the phone he told me what I would expect to pay and was within $200 after purchase. He not only sold a boiler to me, but fitted the piping specific to my 1940's house. I had a four zone setup up and running late that same day for $3200. I will recommend Allen's any day. Yes I was there for 2 hours, but well worth the $3000 dollars savings.\r \r Thanks more

Alens is the best the home owner who need boilers or furnace or any plumbing replacement,at the best quality and price with manufactures guaranteed. chris is great.bring a picture of your system and what you presently have.measure the all rooms of living space including bathrooms.and they will get the best system for at a much lower price than these gas and oil companies.you will get a price for all parts needed.and they have a list of very good plumbers that do not wear a mask to rob you. more

No refunds or money back, even on unopened items! At least HD / Lowe's will take stuff back. Sorry I went there. I will never go back there. more

I bought a valve in the morning $34.00. Brought it back that afternoon with slip. No refunds. I now have a store credit slip and the printing is fading. Hope I can find it next time I need plumbing. more

They have a large selection, prices are a little on the high side, the last time I went there I had a question about a part, and I was basically told that if I find out to let him know I was not very satisfied. more

I can depend on finding what I need. Sometimes their ordering process lacks expertise, but if you have any questions about anything dealing with plumbing, they are the place to go. more

I wasn't happy there myself. Some of my friends do like it.\r I never found them too helpful.\r Sometimes thery just don't have what I really need in a bind, so I can't say I'm real happy with it. more

They have a small showroom that I would barely call a showroom, BUT they are willing to order any item you need. The staff is not very quick to return your call which is unprofessional in my opinion. They are satisfactory because of this reason, but again, they do carry a large inventory of items (or will order them). A bigger staff would help the ratio of customers to staff. PROS: Willing to order for you..delivery is pretty quick CONS: Small showroom, Too busy to help each customer as they should more

Although they had quite a selection for your average pl;umbing supply company the staff were of no help. Items were very hard to find. The bath "showroom" was very dirty and small. more
