Best

You guys did a wonderful job with Melody. She usually really freaks out at the vet, but she was pretty calm around you guys. I will definitely be taking her here all of the time...

Worst

A + Plus equal great Dealership 9/28/2011

Great Dealer!! Car Dealers seem to get a bad rap but after buying a car here you wouldn't know why. These guys helped me get a car they didn't have in stock. They found it and got it the next day. Every other dealer I went to said that car didn't exist. They also gave me a great price. I was expecting to pay sticker or more because I knew this was the only truck like it that existed at the time...Thank you Allen Gwynn. I will send all my friends who need new cars to you first. A++ more

Positive experience 9/28/2011

I have been a customer at Allen Gwynn Chevrolet for the last 8 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Their sales staff is courteous and the service department has always taken great care of me and my vehicle. The complementary shuttle service is also a huge plus. I would highly recommend to anyone who owns or is interested in purchasing a Chevy. more

Absolutely Horrific Experience!!! 9/4/2010

Absolutely Horrific Experience!!! Do Not Buy A Car From Allen Gwynn Chevrolet in Glendale, California! Was given a specific price (quote) on a car (and specific trade-in value for my current car) by the salesperson, on not one, but two consecutive days. Met with Allen Gwynn’s self-proclaimed “closer” who informed me (after several “secret” trips to consult with his manager) that there was no way they were going to honor the price quote given to me, and that the salesperson had lured me in with what is called “lowballing” (providing fictitious information to get people into the sales office), which according to this individual is a common practice in the industry. Stunned by this admission of what I considered unbelievably unethical practices, I informed this individual that I was appalled and shocked that any reputable company would so cavalierly admit to such practices, and that I felt I needed to speak with someone further up the “food chain” to express my concerns, to which he replied that he had a 98% closing percentage, and that the GM “loved” him. My feeling is that if the General Manager of Allen Gwynn Chevrolet in Glendale, California is genuinely supportive, or in fact, encouraging the practice of “lowballing” potential customers with false information, then something is gravely wrong at Allen Gwynn Chevrolet and I would urge any potential customer to STAY AWAY!!!! more

Watch out for the service advisors 6/11/2009

Took my 1999 Chevy Malibu to Allen Gwynn Chevrolet to get a quote on some brake work. The service advisor, Camilo Ocampo wanted to run up a $753.50 tab and do a ton of work on both the front and rear brakes. Decided to head over to ISE Automotive in Los Feliz to get a second quote. ISE said a lot of the dealer recommended work was not needed and advised on turning the front rotors, changing the pads and adjusting the rear brakes. Total cost would be $200.40 The quality of the work was great and I highly recommend ISE to others."" Pros: Good location, quality repairs. Cons: Way overpriced and try to take advantage of people more

Bad Customer Service after you buy your car!!!! 1/15/2007

We have bought 4 cars from this location and on our last purchase they sold us a car with expired tags. When we asked for new ones they told us that it was unfortunate and we had to go to the DMV. They did not even try to negotiate or help. Furthermore, I was yelled at by the person on the phone. I will never go there again. Do not be mislead by the salespeople, only buy a new car as their used ones are fixed up and sold as is for the most part. Cons: Bad Customer Service. more

My experience with Allen Gwynn was geat... 6/13/2005

I can't even imagine that the last person who submited the review went to the same dealership. The sales staff was friendly and helpfull, and the vehicle was sold at a fair price. This is my 4th purchase from Allen Gwyn and I will go back again. Pros: Friendly, Quick deal Cons: Parking not the best more

I thought customers came first. 2/9/2003

They promised me the world and in the end I got jerked. I will chalk this one up as one of the worst experiences of my life. I have purchased a few cars in my day and know what it feels like when everything at least goes ""right"". These sales guys are overall pretty unhappy people. They offered a great lease but when I finally got to signing I got stuck with an extra year and less coverage, I got insulted when I asked simple questions, and when I went back to get help with the lemon Chevy provided they brought thugs to stand over me and intimidate me. I am a small guy without a temper! My first advice is to go to another dealership. I have been paying for my mistake for 3 years now. If you do choose to deal with them please look over your paperwork. Pros: they sell cars Cons: mean/rude salespeople, paperwork faulty, bad selection more
