Absolutely Horrific Experience!!! Do Not Buy A Car From Allen Gwynn Chevrolet in Glendale, California!
Was given a specific price (quote) on a car (and specific trade-in value for my current car) by the salesperson, on not one, but two consecutive days. Met with Allen Gwynn’s self-proclaimed “closer” who informed me (after several “secret” trips to consult with his manager) that there was no way they were going to honor the price quote given to me, and that the salesperson had lured me in with what is called “lowballing” (providing fictitious information to get people into the sales office), which according to this individual is a common practice in the industry. Stunned by this admission of what I considered unbelievably unethical practices, I informed this individual that I was appalled and shocked that any reputable company would so cavalierly admit to such practices, and that I felt I needed to speak with someone further up the “food chain” to express my concerns, to which he replied that he had a 98% closing percentage, and that the GM “loved” him. My feeling is that if the General Manager of Allen Gwynn Chevrolet in Glendale, California is genuinely supportive, or in fact, encouraging the practice of “lowballing” potential customers with false information, then something is gravely wrong at Allen Gwynn Chevrolet and I would urge any potential customer to STAY AWAY!!!!
