EXTREMELY GOOD AND FAST 2/9/2013

So today i had a jam packed schedule and my car decided to take a dump on me ... Time for an oil change so i took it to the nearest mechanics shop "All Transmission and Automotive". So i ran it in and talked to a very positive and helpful sales associate names Tommy Crow. I had a doctors appointment soon while i was at the shop so i asked how long this would take and he replied 15 to 20 minutes and they finished the oil change in 15 minutes! what a savior! Thank you! more

Great repair experience 2/4/2013

This shop is very clean and professional. Tommy did a great job explaining to me what was wrong with my vehicle. I had to have the transmission rebuilt in my delivery van and they got the job completed in 2 days. i need my van to make money and they were 600.00 cheaper that the chevrolet dealer. I recommend them highly. more

Company completed repairs without prior authorization 7/18/2012

I've been taking my vehicles to All Transmission since for approximately 6 years. This most recent trip I returned my car for troubleshooting after they had overhauled the transmission, it wasn't shifting properly. I left instruction to be contacted if any troubleshooting or repair would incur cost. They did notify me of the ongoing troubleshooting but made no mention of cost. After paying for the overhaul I was of the impression that repairs to achieve a properly operating transmission would be inclusive, or at least be notified of cost prior to repairs. If you use them I strongly recommend communications are very clear. I feel they made every effort to get the repair work but very little to settle the disputed charges with a longstanding customer. Past experiences- 2/12-I requested they diagnose an emissions problem. I completed their recommended repairs and it did not correct the problem. I ended up taking the car to Toyota for the correct diagnosis. 3/11-they changed the oil in the transfer case; ~18 months later I found the fill plug seal ring missing; which may explain the leak. more

The people at All Transmissions have just done everything I've asked of them. I've been using them for about three years now so they've done a variety of services for my cars. What makes me keep going back to them is their customer service and the quality of their work. The people at All Transmission and Automotive are just great folks! more

I started using All Transmission and Automotive about ten years ago, when I first noticed they were servicing public service vehicles such as ambulances, I figure if they work on vehicles like those, they must be providing great service. It's all about trust for me, and I can trust them. 7/27/2011

I already have recommended All Transmission, and I will again. I've been in there multiple times over multiple years and I know that I can trust Wake Barney. I'm impressed that he has people that he can trust at All Transmission, and that's what it's about for me. I'm not a mechanic, and I don't want to be a mechanic, but I need reliable automobile transportation for myself and my family. If there is anything in question, I take it to Wake. I trust him, he in turn trusts the people working in those four walls, and it has been a very successful equation for us over the years. Pat Maddock more

Topnotch! 1/25/2011

I go to All Transmission and Automotive every time I have a problem, and I am 90 miles away from them. I go to them because of how helpful they are. They are straight up about everything, and they just fix the issues that need to be fixed. They aren't going to lie about anything or try to sell you extra stuff. I have been going to them for 7 or 8 years now, and the quality is great. I have never had to take anything back after having it repaired there. I highly recommend them. They are very cooperative and straight-shooters. more

Dissappointed with All Transmission and Automotive Tacoma Washington 12/19/2010

A new resident to the area, we were in need of a quality auto transmission and repair shop for our Chev Box Truck, used professionally for our business. Reliability of this truck was very important to us as we used this truck nearly every weekend, driving it to Eastern Washington and Oregon. I researched the internet and came upon All Transmissions and Automotive in Tacoma Washington. After researching the very professional website, we elected to begin using this shop, first having them replace a faulty transmission and then provide regular maintenance work on this older vehicle. At first, the quality and professionalism of the shop matched the the website. Very friendly and clean. Prompt return phone calls, customer satisfaction survey's, etc. As time went by over the past year and half, we found that second or more trips back for the same issues became more of the norm. Don't go there! 7/4/2010

After reading the positive reviews, all I can say is WOW! Because that was not my experience. First I brought my car in to have the transmission "checked". Once removed was told that although it was faulty they could not place a used tranny,and I could not "tow" the vehicle home as is, and they usually charge $90.00 / hr labor. (this was several years ago, now likely 125.00/hr) Anyhow I disliked the owner, as he kept speaking in low hushed tones (Psych 101 BS), and kept asking me why I was "upset" when total bill came to $2400.00 +. I suspect the so called "happy customers" posted here are shills for the company. more

Above and beyond service 5/12/2010

This place is great. The service is fast and friendly. They fixed my vehicles transmission in 2 days so i could head back over the mountains to see my kids. I came into there shop on a friday morning with a transmission that would not shift. I explained my situation to Wake and he got one of the transmission rebuilders to stay late and come in on his day off to get me back on the road. I read some reveiws on line and I think All Transmissions is GREAT! Thanks again to Wake and team for going above and beyond in helping me. more

Total rip-offs! 3/4/2010

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever encountered. They tried overcharging (300%) more than the estimate. When questioned why the higher cost, they were caught lying about the cost of a part. What they didn't realize was that I had already investigated the cost of these parts. The difference in cost was only $5 for this "$40.00 screw in" part, but they tried to charge an additional $200 "because the part was more expensive than estimated". C'Mon, the part estimated was $35 compared to $40 for the part they supposedly used. Worse yet, one week after this unrelated repair, the transmission seized up. Hmmm. Have to wonder. Guess that will teach me for questioning them. more

All Transmission 9/21/2008

I used them to rebuild my transmission after another auto shop I used to rebuild it messed it up. My truck was at there shop for two days ( three days less then the first shop) and the price was less then half of what the first shop charger. I have had no problems with it. I am a very satisfied customer. Recommend Highly more
