Seriously this guy is a scam artist, called for a simple chimney sweep and he convinced us that we needed to spend $750 on cap work that wasn't needed, should have called for a second opinion didn't have time, wish I would have read some of his previous happy customers! This guy is a joke more

I contacted Patrick earlier in the week to service our chimney as I found a coupon for his business in the Save on Everything magazine that we receive in the mail. Patrick was very polite and was able to initially schedule me quickly for Tuesday due to a cancellation. Well, something came up and he had to push our appointment back a couple of days, but he would be at our home between 12-1 on Thursday. Thursday morning came and I received a call from Patrick stating he would be an hour behind but to expect him between 1-2. Ok...no problem. 1-2 came and went and I had to call yet again to see if he was coming. I did receive a return call that he was sorry he didn't make it, but ASSURED me he would come on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and was very sorry for the hold up. Surprise, Surprise...10 a.m. this morning came and went with no call or follow up from Patrick. I left him a voice message that the ship has sailed and I would not be using or recommending his business. You very well may do great work Patrick...but who would know when you don't show up as promised. As a potential customer, do yourself a favor...find another chimney sweep! Cons: Unreliable more

When Patrick came to do a cleaning and some minor repairs he told me I needed a chimney cap. However, he didn't have the correct size so he arranged to pick one up at the shop and told me he'd install it on Thursday while I was at work. I'd hired the guy the year before and thought he seemed trustworthy. Plus, I wasn't going to be home Thursday anyway so I just paid him in full that day. Well, one month, four excuses and one disappearing act later I am without a chimney cap and have $180 less in the bank. This guy is a criminal. I wish I'd checked out BBB, angieslist, citysearch, etc. beforehand because the guy's got F's all across the board. Cons: scam artist or complete flake...not sure which more

Patrick took payment from my wife after leaving an oversized brush stuck in our flue, promising to come back and clear it. He never did, missing multiple appointments to do so, and after 10 months we had to pay someone else to fix his mistake. Do not entrust this person with your business. I highly recommed Patrick and All Pro Chimney. He repaired my chimney on Wednesday, 9/10/08 - crumbling brick/ mortar, missing caps, inside tiles needing repair, leakage into the unit, broken top, etc. He was on time, did a stupendous job, did what he said he would do, and honored his quote. That weekend we had torrential rain/flooding and I didn't have one drop of rain in my fireplace unit. Not only was the service outstanding, but his and his colleague's character is top notch. Patrick owns the company and does the work so you dont have to deal with workers who dont care about the company. He was very professional and did not try and sell me repairs and products that I didnt need. After his initial repair on my house, I then requested repairs from him on a three-flat in Chicago which has a very high roof and hard to access. I would recommend him for any chimney or fireplace repair. Pros: Professional, low cost more

I would like to know where the refunded money was sent to. I was told that all he could afford was $100 of the $237.50 and the rest would be paid at a later date. As expected, the ceck was for less, $50, along with a written assurance that I would receive the balance in two weeks. It has been four weeks and I have yet to see another dime. If this were truely a one time incident, I would expect him to take care of it immediately and have it forgotten. Unfortunately, Patrick seems to be having his fifth once in a lifetime unfortunate incident. I would be glad to discuss the details to anyone who is interested. I just want my money back, nothing more. more

Patrick came out to my home, gave me a complete breakdown of my chimney situation and made me very confident that he knew what he was doing. He gave me a very fair quote on repair work and had it done the same day that he told me he would. Having delt with contractors in the past it is very refreshing to have a person tell you straight and follow up with results. I will and already have recommended him to my neighbors. I was given many estimates from different Chimney companies. Some for work that was not even needed. My neighbor used All Pro Chimney, Inc. and highly recommended them. I was so glad I did. Not only did they give a fair and honest estimate, the work was outstanding! They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. I look forward to them services all my chimney and fireplace needs for years to come. more
