I have read all of the reviews on this dealership, and wonder why these people don't buy new cars. I have bought from this company for years, and so has my family. They are honest, and very service minded. Yea sure things pop up on used cars with more then 60,000 you need to expect that. All Motor Cars have always sold us quality automobiles, and have always kept their word on every aspect of our purchases. I have bought cars from them and drove them for a half a year or more and was still able to sell the automobile for the same price or even more. Quality cars at a good price if you ask me. Hope they are around for many more years to come. I totally recommend them. more

Awesome experience! After used car shopping for 2 months this place was a breath of fresh air. Bought a great used Subaru from them. It consistently felt like a I was an important customer and what was important to me was important to them. They stayed within my price range, and I never felt pressured to make a decision I didn't want to make. I left with a car that I LOVE! Definitely recommend All Motor Cars Ltd! Thanks for your help Andrew! more

Andrew was a wonderful person to by a car from . He found me the perfect car, and then worked hard to get me the financing I needed to make it happen. I would recommend Andrew at All Motor Cars Ltd in Tillson to anyone looking to buy a used car!\r more

Editorial review from Citysearch 2/28/2013

My girlfriend bought a car from this company less than one month ago, with a 30 day warranty. I went with her, and everything seemed to check out. Andrew was amicable and seemingly accommodating. He made me feel comfortable about her decision, that if anything went wrong - as might happen with used cars - they would fix it.\r So, I think a day or two into the purchase, the check engine light turned on. Great. I took it to Lacy's in Catskill for a used car check (they do this for about $100). They found quite a bit wrong with it: the oil pan is seeping at the gasket, a tie rod in need of repair, coolant lines rusted, and the two most costly according to the mechanic - the rear subframe is very rusty and the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. They had replaced a sensor which alleviated the check engine light temporarily. The cat was causing the check engine code. These are very expensive to replace on most Subarus.\r We get in contact with Andrew. This is coming on the third week of ownership. He says they are very busy, call back next week. We call him next week, and drop off the car. He looks at the printout from Lacys, says ""No problem, we can fix all this."" Great feeling, he'll do some repairs. We leave, and call him later to see what's up with the car. Says he's waiting on a part from Subaru, call back Friday.\r It's Friday. We call and apparently there's no part. He starts refuting the fact that the CEL was on, the car is fine. No way! He's not repairing the cat like he said? It took some arguing, and he finally replaces the cat for us.\r Now, today, we picked the car up. We had dropped it off a week ago with a full tank of gas, at least, minus what we drove there. The trip odometer was at 63 miles. We got it back with 1/4 tank of gas and the odometer at 240 miles. He replaced the cat. Apologized for the ""misunderstanding."" Told us, ""This car drives great. . . you probably didn't realize, but the check engine light wasn't on when you dropped if off."" Really? He shows me the rear subframe and how it's solid (even though he flicked a piece of rust the size of a half-dollar off of it while saying that). Says the car isn't leaking oil from the oil pan. Right.\r My girlfriend gets home from work tonight, and the CEL came on again. Come on!\r Realistically, we didn't expect them to replace everything on the list. It's a used car; there will be deteriorating parts. The only issue here was the cat, as according to Lacys, was what was causing the CEL (thus making the NYS inspection void).\r Something's not right about this company. more

Decent sales, service couldn't be worse- CAVEAT EMPTOR! 5/4/2012

My wife bought a 2001 Subaru Forester from All Motor Cars, and after ~50 miles the clutch went. Now, I am a mechanic by trade, and have owned Subarus for years, and I couldn t tell it was on its way out, so I understand how this one slipped past them. Also, they agreed to replace it under warranty, even though none was offered (Lemon Law specifically does NOT cover clutch assemblies), which was great. Then, the trouble started... They replaced the clutch, throwout bearing, and replaced SOME (yes, some) of the transmission gear oil with oil I provided (fail #1). They did NOT inspect and re-surface the flywheel (fail #2) as per OE instructions for clutch replacement, nor did they bleed the clutch hydraulic system (fail #3). Since the flywheel was apparently warped, the new clutch disc warped to fit, and started to chatter, and the throwout bearing (which may or may not have been installed properly) started to squeak. I replaced the slightly leaky clutch slave cylinder and loose master cylinder cap, and bled the clutch myself, but no luck. I also bought new oil to replace the partial fill they did for whatever reason, and did a PROPER job of changing the transmission oil. I called up All Motors, and they said bring it in. So, we brought it back... (*note- this time, I did not ask for the old parts back, as I had before, so I have no evidence of any actual work being performed.)This time, they replaced the throwout bearing and re-surfaced the flywheel, but apparently did not replace the already warped clutch disc (fail #4). Now, the clutch chatters as badly as ever, the throwout bearing still squeaks, the transmission is noisier than ever, and my wife hates the car. Not only that, but when she called Jim (the mechanic who did the work, who up until now had been pleasant to deal with) apparently told her the problem was with her obviously learning to drive stick (even though she s driven ONLY manual transmission cars for eight years), and that they had done the job right, and the problem was her making it up, and that we should be glad with them being so nice to us as to do the clutch job at all. Long and short, sales side got us a decent deal on the car we wanted. Service side couldn t have been much worse. They insulted my wife, did a poor job on EASY work (which I now have to re-do at my expense, thanks to their inability to do it right at any point), and put one heck of a sour taste in my mouth. This reminds me why I NEVER let anyone else touch my vehicles, but they offered to do it for free. If only I had known... Buy from them, but don t even THINK about letting them work on your car. The timing belt job they did on the car pre-purchase lead to a smell of coolant when the car is hot, so I have to re-do that (at least inspect the water pump/thermostat install), and they replaced the OE heated windshield with a non-heated one. Really sketchy. CAVEAT EMPTOR! more

Great, honest guys 7/12/2010

We bought two used Volvos from All Motor Cars. And have used them for service on both. In all cases, they have been fantastic. Very honest, straightforward, fair pricing etc. Our first car was several thousand less than we could find it anywhere else, and it has been a dream. In buying the second . car, they even took a trade in on an absolute clunker that I had been driving. Not a lot of money, but the gesture was appreciated. I am really surprised by the negative reviews as this has been very far from our experience. The only slight complaint as there were a few times the car was ready for service a day or so later than promised. But hardly a capital offence... Pros: Good pricing, honest, fair Cons: Sometimes a bit slow to respond by phone more

wouldn't use them again for service 12/10/2009

They replaced my front brakes w/ aftermarket parts which was I said was ok. I figured I'd save a few dollars. I found out later they charged more than brand name. The brakes squeaked. I took the car back, was told it was the back brakes, not the front, and they did some work on them without asking for authorization and then wanted to charge me for it. I refused, and after a lot of to-do, didn't pay. The brakes continued to squeak. Pros: timely with appointments Cons: poor work, tried to charge for unauthorized work more

Dishonest. Don't even waste your time! 11/13/2008

I took a trip, an hour drive to get to them because they had an advertised volvo which they said they checked out with their 110 point inspection and was immaculate. So I thought just to be sure, i'll have it checked at a volvo dealer. So I show up, take the car to a volvo dealer, and they find an oil leak, and 2 spark plugs that arnt firing properly, about 1600 dollars in work. Also, the check engine light went on while i was driving the car to the Volvo dealer. Obviously the liars disabled the light hoping that it wouldn't turn on and i wouldnt see it. So I wasted 9 hours of my day taking the car to get check out, waiting, and traveling, plus money for gas etc. I returned, to the lying dealer, and told him what they found. He told me that he never checked out the car, even though it says he did on the website. Pros: Dishonest Cons: Dishonest more

great truck 2/15/2008

Liars! 11/23/2007

They advertised a used car at a great price on the internet and when I emailed them because I am interested in the car and was wondering about the low price they emailed me back only saying ""it was sold."" I looked at the websites they had the car for sale on and it was still there, they just raised the price by $14,000! I think they raised the price because I ran a CarFax report on the car and found that it was still a great car and asked them about some of the things on there. They couldn't even be honest with me about still having the car, what else can they be trusted with? Cons: Liars more
