Editorial review from Citysearch 6/28/2012

All Fired Up is FANTASTIC! My daughters (6 and 8) make me take them all the time. It's the perfect daddy-daughter outing. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, which makes this local business all the more enjoyable. Ignore the few negative reviews; I'm quite sure those people have problems everywhere they go. more

Great Place Brandy was WONDERFUL 4/4/2012

Me and My Fiance went to All Fired Up tonight! We saw this place and we both thought it would be fun to go there! We were greeted by Brandy! She told us to pick out anything that we wanted to paint and she would explain the rest! We got our items and we headed toward the paints. Brandy was awesome in explaining everything and showing us all of the paints, brushes, creations and everything else. We started our paintings and i struck up a convo with brandy. She was friendly, funny and wonderful all together! This was my first time there but will not be the last! Would deff recomand this to my friends and awesome events for anyone who is looking to relax and get creative!!! Thanks again All Fired Up!!! more

employees ruined our experience 3/23/2012

I went the other day and this is a great idea in theory and could be a fun experience if the employees didn't seem to hate their jobs so much. They only explained the costs to us and then the paint colors. Did not tell us about supplies (water, sponges, more brushes, paper towels, etc...) which I didn't even know they had until I checked out. They should just make a rule of no children because they obviously hate having them there. They barked at our kids like drill sergeants. I would prefer if they let ME know that my kids shouldn't touch anything and I will make sure that happens, don't discipline my kid- especially when they have done nothing wrong. The only people there were other people who had kids and an employee told a woman with a baby to walk the baby around if she started crying and another employee told another child to sit down because it was ""too dangerous"". Listen, we are not at a five star restaurant, we aren't in a museum, we are not in church. We are in a silly pottery place where people come to have fun. When I checked out, the woman did not even look up at me, let alone thank me. She simply barked out my charge and told me when to pick it up. I brought the brushes hat we had used up to the counter and I asked what I should do with them and she snidely said, ""Well, you were supposed to leave them at the table, but I guess I will take them."" Oh, I'm sorry!! Maybe I didn't know that because you didn't tell me that and by the way, you are welcome for the fact that I cleaned up my area for you. I will never take my kid back there and I will tell everyone I know about their customer service. I don't think it matters to the owner because it seems as if several people have had the same experience or worse and nothing has been done. There are other places to go have fun with little ones- this is Orlando. And you could do this at home for less money and no hassle. more

I HEART AFU! 2/25/2012

I love painting pottery at All Fired Up! The staff there is always happy to see me, and they make painting incredibly fun. I wouldn't paint pottery anywhere else in town because this place is like home to me. Thank you, All Fired Up for so many lovely memories. : ) more

Go somewhere else 2/11/2012

Girls that work there are rude and really don't seem to want your business. more

Great place for children's birthday parties 1/29/2012

I attended a child's birthday party at All Fired Up yesterday afternoon and really enjoyed it! The party hostess was great with the kids and was very helpful and informative. They offer a lot of pieces to choose from and have a wide variety of paints and stencils. Definitely plan to go back! more

RUDE MANAGER! 12/9/2011

I would give All Fired Up a zero rating if I could. Last week, my boyfriend and I (both middle aged adults) traveled 70 miles to All Fired up. On arrival at 10.35pm, after standing un-greeted in the main area for a few minutes, we were told by a rude lady that we were too late and, even though they close at midnight, all painting is stopped 1.5 hours prior to closing. We explained we had driven 70 miles and if we promised to paint quickly and select a small item could we please start, seeing as we had only missed the deadline by 5 minutes, 2 of which were caused by their inability to greet us when we arrived. The lady was so rude it was incredible. She stated she's been the manager for 5 years and this was her rule. We could come back again, or just not bother. I will never frequent an establishment where I am spoken to as insultingly as this. The sneer on her face and superior attitude was uncalled for. Interestingly, I see other people have written reviews on the rude manager already. I fail to see how she stays in business treating people like this. more

SIMPLY THE BEST!!! 9/18/2011

My husband and I love going to All Fired Up... it is such a wonderful experience every time we go there. It is a great way for him and I to spend time together while doing something we both enjoy (however, I must admit it wasn't easy to get him there, but now he is the one saying everyday ""I want to go to All Fired Up""). The staff at AFU are wonderful and they are more than willing to always help you and to reassure that ""it isn't messed up"", lol. I read above of a negative commentsabout the manager and just wanted to say that we have never experienced or seen anything like that. She is fabulous and as a manager she must in force the rules. I don't know how on earth anyone could or would want to rush through their painting in less than hour and a half. Bottom line is that All Fired Up is simply AMAZING and if people complain that the staff follows the stores policy, well then..... enough said. Everyone should go and let there creativity run wild, I must admit it isn't easy sometimes.... I have made birthday plates for all of the children in my family and they have loved them. I have nothing but GREAT things to say about All Fired Up, we just LOVE it.... YOU MUST GO and HURRY UP and get there..... Highly recommend :) We LOVE AFU more

A Great Time with Friends 1/13/2011

AFU is such a wonderful place with a warm, inviting atmosphere that allows for creativity and fun. I go about once a month with my sister and we always have the greatest time. We are always greeted and Cyn is always there with pleasant conversation and a warm smile. Having a place like this with great prices gives me a chance to get my creative energy out without having to break the bank and I am always surprised by how the pieces look once they are glazed and fired. I always look forward to going to AFU and I am never disappointed when I do. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for something new and fun to do! more

A Wonderful Artistic Retreat 1/12/2011

I go to AFU about once a month. Each time I go they have a diverse selection of pottery, the studio is always clean, the paint bottles are never low on paint, cool music is playing, and Cyn is usually there to joyously welcome me back! Everyone appreciates being remembered. I love supporting this small family owned business because I always leave there feeling relaxed and tranquil. Painting pottery is therapy. And it helps that the employees who run AFU are continually contributing to make your experience there a pleasant one. Their prices are extremely reasonable and you can also check All Fired Up's Facebook page for days when extra discounts are given. more

FAVORITE place in Orlando!!!! 10/5/2010

I love All Fired Up!! It is definitely the best place to paint pottery in Orlando. Unlike other places, the staff is really laid-back and so friendly. The prices are about the same as other pottery places but you get a much better atmosphere!! Also they have many events throughout the month that will save you some money. Plus with each additional piece of pottery you paint- you will get $5 off!!! Everything about this place is absolutely perfect!!! Cyn is usually working when I'm there and she is so friendly and fun to talk to!! more

Relaxing, Fun & Creative way to spend time 9/24/2010

I love AFU!! Have been going for over 2 years now and really enjoy it. I have gotten to know most of the staff and look forward to meeting up with a friend or taking the kids for an afternoon of creativity. They have rules, as long as the kids follow them everyone will be happy. It's great to be able to take in food & drinks, i've had GNO Birthday parties there too. Love talking to Cyn <3 more

Extremely Rude 9/15/2010

I went two months ago to All Fired up with a friend and when I went to pick up the pieces, I didn't have my friend's slip. I was lectured on not having it even though I apologized. She then asked more details about my piece and when I paused to think about it, she muttered, ""you can't remember what you painted?"". Extremely disappointing since my friend and I have painted about 3 or 4 pieces before there and rude enough to leave an impression. We will not be back. There are places that are cheaper and more customer orientated than this. more

Too pricey 8/25/2010

Great concept and helpful staff but the all inclusive prices are too high for a childrens activity. Family movie afternoon is cheaper. Go figure! more

Always have a BLAST at All Fired Up! 4/13/2010

I love this place! It's always fun. Friendly staff and great selection of pieces to paint in a fun and funky environment! I have painted with friends and family and everyone enjoyed themselves! \r \r I love that you can bring food and drink or even have it delivered! (they have a folder of menus from places that will deliver to them)\r \r Great place for a girls night or just to unwind and blow off some steam from daily life. And who doesn't need that? The best part is after a fun time painting, you get to actually use the piece you painted! I love that! Pros: Fun, Funky, Relaxing, Rewarding Cons: Addictive more

A GREAT placce for artists and children 2/21/2010

This place is as unique as it is friendly. First of all when you walk in the door a staff member ALWAYS greets you at the door asking if ""It's your first time"" and explaining the rates. Then they will walk you over to the paints once they find you a place to sit and explain how to paint your pottery.\r \r I came in with my husband, mother and 1 week old daughter. They took the time to make me feel at home and not only helped me select memorable and affordable pottery BUT helped paint my child's feet to put on THREE plates I was sending out of state to extended family.\r \r I would say that anyone that has a negative attitude towards this store would have a negative attitude should they win the lottery and not agree with what the state takes out. I would include a link to the beautiful pieces we made here on my photobucket account (but for some reason it's not working right now...and once it does I will come back and post it)....anyone who wants to come and paint in a relaxed, family FRIENDLY atmosphere needs to come here. It's financially resonable and UBER friendly to newcomers.\r \r PLEASE don't let ""some"" people's reviews detour you from experiencing what is Winter Park's hidden jewels. You will NOT be dissapointed. Pros: kids, artists, friends, newcomers Cons: Not enough time to paint everything they offer more

No Hospitality, Go somewhere else that cares about YOU! 8/17/2009

First arriving, there were no ""hello's or is this your first time"". We found a table and still no explanation on how to paint pottery and what are the fees. We had to ask for water for the table. The manager on duty was too busy playing on her cell phone and talking to her boyfriend. At the end of our visit, we cashed out with no ""thank you's"". ( Another visit, I had the same experience as opinionsmatters, where the manager repeated & said sternly, if your help your child paint, then there is an extra fee. It's hard to have a fun time when someone is watching down your back the entire time!) Went back after a week to pick up the pottery pieces. Got there 30 minutes before closing since I was not painting today, and they ""closed"" early. I yelled through the glass"" i'm just picking up my pottery"" and they still refused to open the door. I said "" You close in 30 minutes, just hand me my pottery and they turned there back on me. Another family came to pick up there pieces and the employees all hid in the back room, refusing to hand us our product that we paid for. Looking at entire experience, no hospitality when we arrived and left and then arrogant when trying to pick up the pottery. I still have to make a second trip and we are in the middle of a recession! they owe me gas money on top of the inconvenience. Boycott them!!! Cons: rude, inconsiderate, arrogant = not a fun time! more

Get your flame extinguished at All Fired UP 12/15/2008

We were not greeted, and when the manager finally came out from the back, she greeted the four children that I brought with a very stern lesson on the ""rules."" As a past customer, I was hoping for a cheerful greeting and a helpful guidance in choosing the gifts we were to prepare for the holiday season. She firmly informed me that should I assist my 4 year old in his art, then I would be pay an art fee. I had planned on paying, but her condesending attitude was upsetting. The kids were afraid to touch anything and I told them that it wasn't a big deal. I asked her if something had recently changed, or if something was wrong. She immediatelybecame defensive and began raising her voice in front of the entire place and told me to leave if I wasn't happy. I called my husband asked if there was another place in the area that I could do pottery...she overheard me and let me and the rest of the place know that there was no other place around and since I had a negative attitude I needed to leave anyway. \r The kids were stunned...they didn't understand what THEY did wrong. \r Save your money people....or head to Waterford Lakes.... I ended up at a place called PAINTED BY HUE.... where there were polite workers who were more than willing to help us choose our project and better yet, it was obvious that they were comfortable with children...they were very encouraging and helpful....a welcome change after getting all fired up at all fired up. more
