I learned about All Creatures Animal Hospital when I was the Treasurer of a dog rescue group. The rescue spent around $20,000 a year on vet care and I had the receipts of many different animal hospitals. All Creatures Animal Hospital has the best rates of any place I have seen. The rescue I was involved with sent at least 50 dogs there while I was involved with them and we were always happy with the service we received. I have a large pack of dogs and drive from south Tampa to go to A.C.A.H.. I like there policy of appointments only and never wait long for service. I was there a few weeks ago for rabies shots for five dogs and will back in a week for dental cleanings for two of my dogs. I have recommended All Creatures Animal Hospital to so many people over the years that I have their address and phone number memorized. more

My boxer pup was not feeling well, i took her to All Creatures, i was seen in 5 minutes, after a bllod sample , stool sample, it came back that my boxer had heartworms. Dr Sheridan explained everything to me, the treatment, after care and future prevention. It was also, cheaper then any of the other local vets. Now all 4 of my animals go there, my oldest - a 11 year old poodle was suffering from hair loss, Dr Sheridan diagnosed it with in 1 minute. My poodle was having allergic reations to frontline, he recommended comfortis which is taken internally as to being applied on the skin. My poodle now has her red curly hair all back, soft as ever. I have used many vets over the years as I was in the Military for 10 years and moved often. I have never had such a poor experience. This is based on 3 visits, not 1. Fortunately, these experiences did not result in the loss of a pet as it has for others at this place, but the general care and concern from any staff or vet was very poor and lacking. When my cat was very ill, they could not make a diagnosis or, at least, wouldn't tell me anything. I ended up going to Livingston Animal and Aviary Hospital on Livingston Avenue and have never looked back--Livingston Avian and Animal Hospital is FANTASTIC. The front office staff are always helpful and friendly and the vet staff spend time with you and your pet--carefully go over everything and listen to you as well. It is only a few miles from Creatures so if location is important, I would suggest you got to Livingston and avoid this nightmare of a clinic. Cons: Lack of Urgency, Feedback, Care more

This man is very insensitive and in my opinion SHOULD NOT BE LICENSED!!!! I will do everything in my power to let everyone who may be thinking about using this establishment, Know how horrifying my experience was!!!!!\r My 18 month old Chihuahua ""Pebbles"" was in labor, it was her first litter of pups and one was breech we took her to All Creatures Animal Hospital at 105 Sunset Lane in Lutz Fl, and Dr ""Death"" Sheridan was horribly INCOMPETANT... While my dog was in a pretty serious situation he ARGUED with me,even to the point of trying to COERCE me to SPAY her.\r All I wanted was for him to DO HIS JOB and deliver my puppies and he was repeatedly demanding I spay her... I told him just deliver the pups and we'll cross that bridge IF it comes, because I didnt believe she had to be spayed and despite all the bogus reasons he gave me as to why he needed to spay her, I felt as though maybe he didnt want to perform her surgery for personal reasons, Instead he wanted to go in cut out her uterus and not make any attempts to save the puppies. Validation of this theory is when He called me several minutes after I dropped her off, just to tell me with NO CARE OR CONCERN ""If your NOT GOING TO ALLOW me spay her just come pick her up, I havent started the surgery yet shes still sedated"" I was in complete SHOCK!! How can a licensed veterinarian neglect an obvious serious situation to discuss a completely different procedure it's so inconsiderate and selfish!!!! SHES IN LABOR THE PUPPIES ARE BREECH and you havent even started her surgery yet!!!!!!! I AM SO ANGRY....While he was LECTURING me AGAIN ABOUT SPAYING her, my poor Pebbles is sedated and there are puppies in danger of dying inside her.\r I AM OUTRAGED!!!!! I WILL NOT GIVE UP UNTIL HIS LICENSE IS REVOKED FOR NEGLIGENCE! He is a poor excuse of a Human being to be so insensitive and not only allow her to LAY HELPLESSLY IN DANGER, sedated without any proper fluids and the nerve he had to argue with me WHILE ALL THE PUPPIES WERE DYING IN HER WOMB... BUT THE FINAL HORROR WAS WHEN A FEW MINUTES LATER THEY CALLED ME TO TELL ME ALL THE PUPPIES HAD DIED AND PEBBLES HAD A SEIZURE AND LITERALLY MINUTES LATER....PEBBLES DIED AS WELL......HIS ATTITUDE IS SUSPECT, HE FAILED TO PROVIDE HER WITH PROPER CARE SHE NEVER RECIEVED GLUCOSE AND FLUIDS.... ITS DOCUMENTED ON MY INVOICE. CHIHUAHUAS HAVE A KNOWN TENDANCY TO GO INTO SEIZURES AFTER SUCH EVENTS IF THEIR SUGAR IS ALLOWED TO GO TOO LOW AND A NEGLIGENT, INCOMPETANT, SELF CENTERED UNQUALIFIED, VETERINARIAN IS REFUSING TO APPROPRIATELY TREAT THEM.... HE ALLOWED HIS PERSONAL GOALS TO SUPERCEDE HER HEALTH AND THE WELL BEING OF THOSE PUPPIES AND FOR THIS I AM OUTRAGED NOT ONLY THAT BUT SEVERAL OTHER PATIENTS ARE ALSO ONLINE VOICING THEIR COMPLAINTS.... We brought in our 4 year old healthy Shepherd mix for a teeth cleaning and were told ""he died of unknown causes"". Since that time I have heard of four similar events. Today someone posted a cry for help after his dog died in their care through Craigslist. more

I am a three year customer of All Creatures and I agree that at times there is a wait, but it is definitely worth it. \r The staff treats your pet as if they are their own. All Creatures has been my pets vet since 1995. They took great care of my JayJay until the day he died. Jay had allergies along with numerous other health issues so we went to the office quite often. They always made me feel like Jay was not only special to me but special to them as well. After waiting 4 hours to get into MY doctor today - a 40 minute wait doesn;t seem like anything at all. Well worth the wait I say. I find some of the other reviews hard to beleive as after 15 years of patronage I never came across anything but professional, caring people. By the way, Jay was fully intact until the day he died of old age and not once did any of the staff including Dr. Sheridan ever say anything about spaying. Pros: Bright personable staff. more

I had an 8am appointment. The office opened five minutes late. I was not shown into a room until 8:20. The vet did not show up for another 10 minutes. I noticed many hair wads and what looked like fluid residue on the floor. When the vet showed up, although he was pleasant, he made no apology for the wait and did'nt have any consideration about my time. He took the cat for tests and it was another 40 minutes before I had the cat back. I finally left at 9:30 after what amounted to a 10 min examination and little information. I was told I would be contacted that afternoon with results. It is now 3 days later and I have no information..as I write this review, I've been on hold for 20 minutes while they look for the records. Obviously, I don't recommend this service.
