Huge selection of electronics. I usually go there for PC hardware, i.e. Internal components or boards, occasionally camera parts and equipment. They also have appliances, TVs, DVDs, EE parts and cables. Some eclectic stuff: toys like solar-powered robotic mice and radio kits. Decent prices; if I'm not getting it online this is a good option (better than BestBuy or similar ilk thanks to the warehouse aesthetic! Some of the red-tags and clearance items are good deals. My favorite thing about Fry's is their selection. They have a ton of equipment to choose from. Their prices are just ok though and a lot of what they carry can be found cheaper online. more

I will NEVER purchase anything from Fry's again. Their products are overpriced (I saw the same computer I bought there a couple months later at Costco for $200 less) and their service is absolutely disgusting. more

For what I heard, Fry?s is the 99 cents store of the electronics. All items is stuff rejected from the Asian factories but good enough for be re-sell in the US. Pros: Hmmmmm.. I don't think is something good about it.... Cons: For me, Fry's can lock the door and trash the key! more

I found a price lowered on a competitors web page while standing in line on my Iphone. When I advised the cashier I was given the run around about their price match guarantee. I was holding up the line so I settled and bought my car stereo there. When I went to the competitors I got service I should have gotten from here. My computer screen is falling apart 1 1/2 years after i bought my computer with a 3-year ""full service"" warranty and Fry's refuses to fix it. They now tell me that the warranty only covers a hard drive failure. So i asked for a refund on the money i paid on what is left of the warranty. They tell me there will be an $83 dollar fee and i will be refunded $54 dollars. So essentially, my computer broke, they wont fix it and they want to charge me a fee to give me my money back. WTF! I purchased the 5-year in-store service warrantly when I bought my desktop PC 17 months ago, and was initially glad I had when I started having problems withe the PC recently. However, now I regret it since it took me nearly an hour just to drop off the PC to be serviced (there wasn't a long line at all, but either the employees or the process, or both, were painfully slow). Then they told me it would be several days before they would even get around to looking at my PC, although from what I've read on here it will likely be much longer -- the stacks of PCs waiting to be looked at was huge. Phone continually rings off the hook. When you finally get through to a live person, the department you need to speak to is ""not available."" WORST customer service EVER. more

never can get thru on the phone in a timely manner , phone rings atleast 40 time to get thru and when you ask for a paticular department it takes another 40 times for them to answer , i will never shop Frys again, reguardless of the price Pros: maybe the prices but the service is horrid Cons: no phone service , personal service is next to none more
