Do not recommend this service. They have refused to refund us money after transferring us to another company without our permission. Terrible service, failed to show often, truck maintenance is bad, trucks fail, they won't come because of the weather, trash would sit for days. They are dishonest. Find another company and save yourself the stress! more

Missed pick ups then when was supposed to get credit had to call twice. Always said it was a new driver on route. Must be bad when it was every other week. Then transferred me to a new company. I already had paid for the next 3 months the new company never received the 3months that was supposed to be transferred and was never refunded. more

Yes, truck problems have caused delays; but, you are supporting our local economy. Our driver/operator is friendly, and the hardest working guy in CO. No problems when we have a little extra garbage due to holidays, etc. AND, their prices are very reasonable! more

I was excited to discover this company -- they did recycling! But recycling and garbage pickup are sporadic. I got a message yesterday that they would work through the night to collect garbage. It's still here this morning. My recycling is still here from last week -- and when I called the company to see when they'd be coming out, I learned they would not be collecting recycling again this week. I don't like having garbage cans and recycling bins hanging out for days in front of my house. more

I used Canyon Waste for years and never had cause to complain. All Bright Sanitation bought Canyon Waste I believe and everything went down hill from that moment. I have never experienced such bad service. If a snow flake falls, they don't show up. It is impossible to reach anyone and no one acknowledges emails or voicemail. I am due a refund, which I never expect to see, but its worth it just to be rid of them. If you want a good reliable service, do not use this company. The reason I gave them a star at all is because I couldn't publish this review without doing so. I would rather pay more money for reliable service, which is exactly what I am doing. more

I was sick of ""service fees"" constantly being added to my Waste Management bill so I thought I'd go with someone local. Canyon offered recycling, which WM doesn't in my neighborhood, and their fee was about 15% lower including recycling.\r Now to the actual service- I've been getting a story about their recycle bins being on backorder for 12 weeks now. The first month my recycling was just thrown away, even though it was obviously recycling in a green basket, the first week had a recycling sign on it that was destroyed. There was no communication on holiday pickup and now my trash hasn't been picked up for the third week in a row! Calls to them usually get the trash picked up, but really, how many excuses will I get next week when they skip me again? Will the truck breakdown and the driver forget where he left off? Is it a new driver not following the route? Just absent mindedness? Or will they suggest I missed them, when I secure my trash at the end of the drive THE NIGHT BEFORE.\r I'm running out of options for trash service with recycling. I have used canyon waste for at least five years. They are a small business doing a good job. They always pick up when they are supposed to and they have been very friendly the couple of times I have had to call them.\r \r If you think their service is bad try using waste managment. They will not get a refund to you any faster, they will likely screw up your bill and it will take months to correct it. I wish canyon waste had a web site with their holiday schedule. Other than that they are doing a good job. more

There is no receptionist, you have to leave multiple voicemail messages before a guy will call you back. I have cancelled my service 3 weeks ago and was told I would have my refund the next week, I am still waiting. I will never recommend or deal with this company again. Gasoline prices are the lowest they have been since 2004, and yet Canyon Waste does not lower their prices. The prices were raised immediately when gas price shot up to $4 per gallon, but the garbage rates are not being lowered when the gas prices are at $1.45 per gallon. This is typical of Canyon Waste; everything for Canyon Waste and nothing for their customers. In addition there is no recycling at the curb; anything put out for recycling goes in with the rest of the trash. more

I agree with the other reveiws about the friendliness but,... has anyone actually confirmed that they recycle your pickups? We put a good amount of effort into saving and sorting our recyclables and want to be sure. Pros: Friendly Cons: Questionable recycling more

The first thing I noticed about Canyon Waste is the friendly customer service. Our neighborhood is pretty new, and we actually rec'd a letter from our trash man explaining pick up days, holidays etc. They place our cans near our house (which is great because I think we are in a tornado path some days) and they added a recycling program at no charge - and we don't have to separate the items! My husband and I have specifically talked about how much we love this vendor! Pros: Customer Service, Timely trash removal, recycling program more

Canyon Waste and Recycling is the best trash service I have ever had. They put your empty trash cans up by the garage door so that they don't get knocked down the street by wind gusts. Recycling is picked up weekly for no extra charge. I have never had any customer service problems. In short, they are fantastic. Highly recommended.
