Worst

I have tried a handful of times to get a call back from a stylist for several days and STILL received NO call back! I was really dispointed because I obviously really wanted to go...

Looking for Prom Hairstyles? 3/2/2011

My friend and I both went to Jessica Ruiz a few weeks before prom as a trial to see if she could do some pretty hairstyles. I brought pictures of what i thought i wanted and my friend just told her she wanted some sort of hairstyle that was curled and to the side. She was able to copy the hair from the picture I provided and i loved it! The first hairstyle she tried on my friend, my friend wasn't crazy about and so she was willing to play with it and they eventually figured out a cute hairstyle that they both liked. If you're looking for someone to do your hair before prom, I'd highly recommend going to All About You Salon & Spa, just as i was recommended by a bunch of senior girls at my school. Clearly its a good choice. more

REVIEWS FOR ALL ABOUT YOU SALON & SPA 2/28/2011

I want to share my experience over the weekend at All About You Salon & Spa.Went there looking for a change in color and also a new hair style. Not knowing yet what I really wanted or what would work for me came to my now new stylist Jessica and with her knowledge & experience I came out of there looking amazing. I am so satisfied with my new look and the wonderful service that was provided to me. I also want to point out the elegance of the place It looks so much better now for those of you who have been there before and had second thoughts about coming back give your self the time to come and check these place out. I know I was glad to come back. more

Couldn't be more satisfied 11/23/2010

I hesitated to return to this salon after my first experience there listening to an employee bash her customers. Because the stylist who did my hair did such a good job, I returned. Thank goodness I did! Jessica, my stylist, is now the owner. I am very happy with her professionalism, demeanor, and talent with my hair. I am very picky about my color, and extremely particular about my cut. Jessica continues to provide an excellent service for a reasonable price. She has done amazing things with the atmosphere, and all the other employees seem to be happy when I'm there. I'm so satisified that when I read someone bashing her on here I have to stop and wonder if it was truly a customer, or maybe an associate of someone who has an axe to grind. Try Jessica, she's amazing - and so is the salon. more

My experience with Jessica, owner of ""All About You."" 11/1/2010

I want to be clear about something. I have been frequenting professional salon's ever since I could afford to pay for my hair to be done. Never in my life have I witnessed such unprofessional-ism in a salon. As I was a customer, I not only was dissatisfied with the color AND cut- as I vocalized that to the OWNER JESSICA -she simply stated: ""Oh, give it a couple days, you will like it."" Which I never did and shouldn't of walked out of there without vocalizing my distaste. Not to mention, as I was sitting in the chair, I had to over-hear her talking about other employees, negatively. Which surprised me, being the owner and all. She obviously has no integrity or talent. If this had been an isolated event, I wouldn't bother doing a review, but other customers have said that they experienced similar situations. Good luck. more

Love it 6/17/2010

I come to this place for everything. I get my eyelash ext., waxing, nails, hair you name it. I always leave feeling good aboutyself and I have so much fun while I'm there. I ask for a gift certificate to this place for every present. Thanks for being so great and please don't go anywhere. more

I made an appointment with a different place, but came here by accident. Cheri booked me with her and a half hour later she was doing my hair. She listened to exactly what I wanted. She is an excellent hair stylist. Im going back to her again. Pros: listens to the customer more

It's finally so nice to have someone actually listion to you!! I went to Louise at All about you and she took the time to ask me what i wanted and made sure we were both on the same page before she started! I've been to so many salons and ive never felt right about my hair! I Love my hair now!! Found My Hairdresser :) Pros: Found my Hairdresser :) more

Love my new hairdresser! 4/23/2010

Went to all about you salon at recommendation of a friend. My old stylist never really listened to what I wanted to do with my hair, and did what he wanted instead, so I decided to look for another. Cheri at All About You, took time to ask me questions about my hair, and what I was looking for. She gave me a brand new cut and style that makes me look younger, with some highlights and a new color. I love it, and my hubby does too!!! So glad I found her and would highly recommend her. more

not satisfied 2/23/2010

my old hair lady left so i was booked with someone that was highly recommended. First, the receptionist didn't greet me and i had to stand around for a few minutes before she stopped talking to other employees and put her magazine down. The lady that did my hair didn't want to cut it and just talked about how bad my hair color had been done (by my previouse lady). All I wanted was a touch up and hair cut, but she made my hair look like it had been growing out for weeks and covered the highlights on the side. I was not happy, but didn't want to go back because i felt like it would just look worse. Lucky for me, I found my old lady and my hair looks awesome once again :) Pros: price was ok Cons: hated the finished product more

Kristy Johnston is the best! 1/20/2010

She is the best hairdresser I've ever had. I called the salon asking for the best colorist to fix a bad job from another salon. I was told she was one of their best. I was soooo happy with the results! I got tons of compliments. My sister now comes from the Bay Area to have Kristy do her hair. She's an awesome stylist, too. On top of that, she's sweet and funny so it's a pleasure to spend time in her chair. I highly recommend Kristy! more

Sharon Breault has been cutting and coloring my hair for almost 17 years. When I moved back from the Bay Area I tried many salons in and out of Elk Grove, looking for someone who could cut my thick, unruly, naturally curly hair. A friend of mine recommended Sharon, and I've been happy ever since. Over the years, she has gone out of her way to schedule appointments around my work and family schedules. Although I've sat in her chair more than 100 times, she always gives me the attention of a first-time customer whose business she values. She begins every appointment by evaluating my color and cut and asking me if I'm happy with my current color and style or if I want to do something different. People regularly compliment my hair, and I've recommended many friends and co-workers through the years. Sitting in Sharon's chair is like visiting a friend. She's friendly, funny and personable and I thoroughly enjoy every minute of my monthly appointment. All About You is a wonderful salon, and Sharon is amazing! Pros: Great service; great value more

I Have been going to All About You for almost two years. I love the employees and how they really are there to make sure your time is more relaxing.Whitney Has been doing my hair since i have been going to this salon, she is outgoing and does great hair.I recommend her to any one looking for a good hairstylist and a good conversation.This salon is a wonderful salon for all the many services they provide. I went to Louise for a cut and color and she did a GREAT job! It can be hard to find someone who listens to what you want and also gives thier expert opinion, to give you a style that works for you! Love my Hairdresser! 3/8/2009

I have only been going to Whitney for not even a year now but i LOVE how she does my highlights. Never has there been a time where i didnt like it. I ALWAYS get compliments on my color and people always ask me where i go and i dont hesitate to tell people about the beautiful salon and my hair dresser Whitney. She knows exactly the blonde i want in my hair and it comes out just right everytime. She knows what cuts and colors are in style and does a great job at making the look you want happen. Her prices are reasonable & she's so easy to hold a conversation with the whole time during your hair appointment. So glad I found this place! 12/23/2008

This evening I had my hair cut and colored at All About You and have been admiring it all night! I have seen Sharon three times now, after switching from a ""high end"" salon in midtown Sac and could not be happier. I am so glad that I gave an Elk Grove salon a try. Not only is Sharon SO much more reasonably priced that my old stylist, but she is incredibly talented. I have never been so happy with my color (blonde weave with highlights and a couple low lights). It is always a good feeling to completely trust someone with your hair and I am definitely at that point with Sharon. I find it strange that the reviewer below me also reviewed the salon today and had negative things to say about the salon and particularly Sharon. I'm not sure if there's is some personal vendetta there, but as someone who moved to Elk Grove recently, with no personal ties, I can say I have never been so happy with a salon or a stylists. I highly recommend! more

Inappropriate, Rude Customer Service by Owner 12/23/2008

If you like being ignored, made to feel insignificant, and called inappropriate names in front of the general public, by all means visit ""All About You"" as a client of owner Sharon Breault. You will be treated to her ""it's all about me"" attitude. How silly to think that as the customer you would be treated with courtesy, appropriateness, and general good cheer. Why would a customer at a locally owned spa ever dream to think that they would be treated so well??? I made that awful mistake when I chose to take my business to Sharon's little shop. So, those of you who read these reviews, please take all of the reviews into account; you will save yourself a great deal of stress, and you can instead support a local business where it really is all about you. more
