All About Me

We are so happy with this preschool. Little did we know when we made an appointment to see this school back in May, just how happy we would be with our choice. From the moment we walked in we heard the laughter of children. Being a music teacher in NYC, I was looking for a school that had a creative vibe to it. I was pleased to see that this school has it all. They give you a calendar with the daily events. On it you see Music, Art, Dance, etc. Bingo! Just what I am looking for. Well we signed up in May and I really can't say enough about them. The teachers are warm and nurturing. The curriculum is fantastic and to top it off the price is right. What a great find, I highly recommend it. more

After moving to Edgewater 2 years ago i registered my daughter in a preschool in edgewater because i wanted her to find friends in the area. We lasted there less than 2 months before i left in tears because my daughter was not properly taken care of. A women on my morning bus recommended i go take a look at All About Me. I called immediately and they answered all my questions over the phone and encouraged me to stop in when i was free. I went by for a tour and was pleasantly surprised by how happy all the children were. The staff in the first room were fingerpainting and the gymnastics teacher was conducting a gym class in the next classroom. The center was clean and nicely decorated. I registered on the spot and my husband and i and especially my daughter could not be happier. She even asks to go to school on Saturday. We have been apart of this school for about 20 months and we love it!! more

After spending alot of time looking at all the area child care centers I chose All About Me because of the warm and welcoming environment and their promise to teach my daughter but let her have fun while learning. We did start at the infant center but I toured both sites before registering. The children looked happy, clean and healthy. Music was playing and the staff was friendly and were involved in activities with the children. Thankfully it wasnt put on as a show for me! Even though they have alot of children I always felt like we were cared about very personally. I always felt like my daughter was safe and very much loved. Both centers have huge outdoor playgrounds with trees and they take the children out several times a day. They even have a big buggy to take the babies for walks down the block. There was staff with college degrees at both schools but most important to me was the experience most of the staff had and the fact that alot of them had been there for a long time.The director was very committed to trying to keep everyone happy with the program and I loved the fact that shes a nurse! My daughter was in 4 classes and we were very sad to leave when we moved away from the area. Because of her positive experience and all that she learned she was accepted into the best preschool in the area we moved to. My daughter had 2 classmates that were also there from infants who moved away around the same time as we did. We still keep in touch and we agree that we didnt find schools for our kids that offered the same great experience that wed had at All About Me. Do not send your kid to All About Me, if you care about your child's early development. I moved my daughter out after a miserable year at this Cliffside pk location. The school's management doesn't spend adequate money on kids supplies, their programs or school equipments. The facility is pathetic. They have a big half-basement floor (no sunlight) divided by flimsy temporary walls to separate 3 diff agegroup classes. The facility was awful. Teachers (I don't think any one of them were certified) were unprofessional and showed favoritisms. They all appeared to be miserable babysitters, rather than enthusiastic educators. My daughter was not emotionally/academically developed, and kids were kept like livestocks in my opinion. This school is cheap, you'll see why. I moved my daughter to Les Enfants, where i am completely happy at. Pros: Caregivers at the baby school location is good Cons: Awful programs at Pre-K location (church basement) more
