Alison is such an amazing photographer! I begged her to do my headshots (her specialty is babies, families, and maternity but I just love her work so much that I hoped she'd take my executive headshots, too). Not only did she take them, but she completely put me at ease and had me looking like an executive rock star (despite a horrible hair day!). And she was able to do it in just 15 minutes, as I only had time for one of her mini-sessions! You couldn't find a more incredible photographer than Alison! I love this lady! I can't stand taking pictures and usually coming out looking fake and forced. Alison takes amazing pictures and I could not have been happier. I asked if I could bring my dog, who is currently my only ""baby"" and she was perfectly willing to include him and the pictures she took captured him perfectly. I have to say, Alison is THE most amazing person. She is very talented and is just a really cool chick. Which helps you relax and end up with some really great shots. My daughter wasn't exactly in the best mood on our ""picture day"". I swear to you, you would never know. We got the best pictures. I really was amazed! All I can say about Alison is that she is wonderful!! We will ALWAYS use her for pictures. Our session was fun, relaxed yet we got so many great shots. We had 4 adults and 5 children. Alison never seemed to get frustrated with us and made is such a positive experience!!!! more

We have had 2 sessions with Alison (when our daughter was 3 months and 8 months). Alison was fantastic, and we are going to be scheduling 2 more sessions as our daughter gets older. She is extremely patient (Alison, not our daughter), which is critical with little ones and it is obvious she absolutely loves what she does. It shows in her work, which results in wonderful photos. One key to photographing infants and toddlers is lots of shots, and Alison takes a ton. given the amount of pictures she takes the odds are you will walk away with some truly amazing photos. I know with both of our sessions, the photos that she showed us all seemed great, and it was hard to pick out a favorite. Given her artistic eye for a great shot, her love of children, and her passion for her work, it would be tough to find anyone better. Oh yeah, and you get all of this at a very fair price. We wanted to have professional photographs taken of our daughter. I did a lot of research on photographers and focused in on ones that specialized in taking pictures of babies. I was also looking for a photo journalistic style of photography that would capture candid moments. I just did not find exactly what I was looking for until I found Alison Eden's ad in an Austin Parenting magazine. The moment I began looking at the pictures on her website, I knew that I wanted her do the photos for us. Her prices are affordable. Her availability is flexible which is extremely helpful when you have an infant. She gives great suggestions for wardrobe for pictures. She is very friendly, patient and easy to work with in a casual setting in her home or on site. We really like that she doesn't have set packages but is very accomodating for the type of package you are looking for. We ended up doing a package of four sessions and we receive a cd of all the prints for each session. This way we have the rights to the photos and can make duplicates ourselves and post them online for our friends and family to see. Her turn around time for viewing prints on her website is quick. We found Alison online while searching for a Maternity photographer in the Austin area. We loved the shots on her website and after our initial contact we were impressed with her professionalism and relaxed manner (something we find very important in a photographer - no plastic grins welcome!) She was very flexible with her schedule and offered suggestions regarding the best time to come (later on in pregnancy, earlier in the morning to get the best light) while still leaving the decision making up to us. Prior to our session she offered some suggestions about wardrobe, props we might want to bring, and websites to check out to decide what sorts of poses/pictures we would like to recreate. Alison is a phenomenal photographer and a genuinely nice person. The session isn't too long; she is very good at getting the shots before the baby fusses! She also did a wonderful job on my maternity shots, making me look MUCH better than I felt! We used Alison to do portraits of our family. They were better than we had ever hoped for. She did a great job. I found Alison on the Internet while I was pregnant, looking for a photographer who was professional, talented, yet inexpensive. I found all of it with Alison. Her portfolio touched me, the moments she was able to capture - so I booked a session with her right away. New parenthood got the best of us, so we didn't make it to do *newborn* photos but did a session when our daughter turned 3 mos and the photos came out just as I hoped they would. We loved all of them so much that we are buying the CD package. And, my husband and I have just ordered a poster-size of one of the ""artistic"" images from the pregnancy series to display over our fireplace mantel - yes, she's that good. more
