I'm a a VERY happy customer! I've had several years of mediocre to awful haircuts, and I'm thrilled to have found Alicia's! My stylist was Casey, and I would recommend her whole...

I had recently written a review on Alicia's Salon and Day Spa. I was very pleased with my hair, at first. I will first start with the positives of this salon. I will have to di...

WORST HAIR SALON I'VE EVER BEEN TO!!!!!!!!! 5/17/2007

I had been getting my hair highlighted for years. my daughter went to this salon and I thought I would try it. I went in and it took 21/2 hours for the highlight and as they kept me under the dryer and the sylist talking about their love lives and doing each others make up and hair, she left me under the dryer too long and when she took me out MY HAIR WAS PURPLE!! So she stayed and rehighlighted my hair with another stylist helping so they could go out together later. so I then sit in the chair ANOTHER 3 hours..I would have thought with the owner there she would have comped me the visit NOOO I paid Just under $200.00 aftyer being there 6 hours!!!! No disount what so ever... and the attitude that I was keeping them there late...As I have heard from others THIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL SALON you will EVER go to...VERY EXPENSIVE to boot...Not worth the money at all !! THIS WAS THE WOODLAKE LOCATION BY THE WAY...Oh and my daughter no longer goes there either...For the reason of to much money for the service...Hair cuttery can do that well Pros: Parking, location Cons: unproffesional, exspensive, slow more

Could have been much better 5/15/2007

My experience was just sloppy... I had an appointment. I got there 15 minutes early so I wouldn't hold them up any and was rudely told I'd have to wait. I never asked to be seen early! 30 min's after the scheduled time I was asked to come to the back-pedicure. Then I had to wait for the station to be set-up... It was okay-not worth the money. \r Second visit (every one deserves a second chance-right?) - worse. 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment I was called back for a hair cut. The ""trim"" was fine-the stylist was very pleasant and seemed to really care and she was very professional. The receptionists and a few of the other girls were VERY unprofessional. There is a big difference between young ladies and little girls. Of the females there- there was only one young lady and at least 4 little girls. Babble over the boyfriends and just over all acting silly is just unnecessary. It's fine to have fun and talk when you are at work but not to the point where your clients suffer either by wasting their time or not paying attention to detail- and the time it took to get in to my appointment and the time it took to check out was ridiculous! \r The lay out of the establishment was nice. The prices keep climbing for declining service. If it's really going to cost $40 for a trim... pay for a mature receptionist. Pros: Parking, Certain stylists Cons: Set-aside a few hours! Child-like behavior more

Too pricey and slow 5/9/2007

I scheduled an appointment for a color service when I won a gift certificate for $100. Not only did the process take WAY longer than any other hair color service I have ever had, the results were OK and I ended paying another $100 out of pocket (I only got highlights and lowlights on hair that wasn't even shoulder length). For $200, slow service and an OK color job, I would not recommend the salon. The atmosphere was also a little teenie-bopper for me. Too many belly shirts on 15 yr old employees talking to the stylist as she's doing my hair. For the price, I would've expected a nicer, more relaxing and profesional experience. Pros: Lots of parking Cons: Too expensive for the service, not very professional more

Overbooked 1/11/2007

I found the Woodlake location to be chaotic, overpriced, and not worthy of their prices. I waited for over an hour (giving me water doesn't make up for waiting that long) and then it was 3 hours to ""squeeze"" me in after having an appointment. My visit was over 4 hours for cut/color. I've been to many salons in the same price range and Alicia's service was far from comparable. They were inconsistent and sloppy. \r \r I've never written an online review before, but I felt compelled to because I have limited funds to spend on my hair and thought I would spare someone else the unnecessary expense. They really need to brush up on their organization skills and remember to pay attention to their clients who are paying top dollar for their services. After all the time and money I spent there, my husband said my hair looked the same except shorter. Pros: Friendly greeting, good parking Cons: Unorganized, Slow more

Over Priced 11/6/2006

The pedicure, massage and facials are great, very relaxing, just pricey.\r I get the feeling they would rather cater to the elite. While in there, overheard comment\r from a stylist about being embarassed by her long-haired, tatooed family, not\r wanting to be seen in public with them, all the while, there I sat...long-haired, and tatooed...shame on you! Maybe she was trying to tell me something! I haven't been back. more

Excellent! 5/20/2006

When I first visited this place, I thought it was a just a little beauty parlor but o, I was so wrong. The front desk was so helpful and not rude by far. I got in 5 minutes early for my appointment which I always love! And they ladies who cut my hair were so friendly and nice. My hair was perfect! More than I could've imagined. When I was done, I decided to get a massage and boy! It was FANTASTIC! I go there every Friday now and I absolutely love it. Now, my mom, my sister, my grandma, and my friends all go there. I love it! Pros: Good Service/Friendly, Great Atmosphere, Very Clean more

I expected SOOOOO much more from this place 4/19/2006

When I first walked into this salon I was impressed with my surroundings. Beautiful couches next to a bay window. Nice black and white decor and a large salon. When I checked in with the front desk, I was told that it would be just a few minutes. I was there for a haircut and eyebrow wax. This salon was ANYTHING but professional. Not only did I wait 50 minutes past my appointment time to be taken, there was a woman in front of me who actually LEFT because it was an hour past her appointment. The young girls at the desk were more interested in boyfriend talk than updating their waiting clients as to when they would be served. It was VERY expensive for what I got and Im mad at myself for not walking out when the other lady did. more

Great Salon, Talented Beauticians 10/24/2005

I am a regular at Alicia's, and I also used them for my bridal party for my recent wedding. The only problem we had was that they just opened a new salon in the Woodlake area as well, and they accidentally split up my bridal party. But it was fixed quickly, and the girls all looked beautiful. I've used many of their services, including haircuts, manicures, pedicures, facials, and massages. I highly recommend Alicia's! more
