I was very disappointed with the service and quality of the suit made by Alan Rouleau. It took 6 months from start to finish, with 5 fittings. For the final fitting, he failed to show up. He may know how to make suits for men, but for $2,000 the suit he made was so poorly constructed that I am embarrassed to wear it. The arms were not fit properly into the shoulders, and the fabric wrinkles and buckles around the armholes (see photo). Cons: Very poor quality suits for women; 6-month wait more

Best tailor 8/20/2008

i am so happy to have found this tailor - the straps on my favorite dress had frayed, and after taking it to a very reputable tailor in my neighborhood (brookline), i was told that they could be not be fixed. the tailor wouldn't even try to fix them. i found mr. rouleau on the internet, and brought the dress in to be looked at, desperate for anything - at least a try so that i might be able to wear the dress again. he took the dress and handstitched the straps for me, and the dress looks fabulous. i got my dress back the next day, and the price was reasonable. i was so happy that he was at least willing to try, and very appreciative of the great work he did. highly recommended. Pros: great customer service, very experienced, great job Cons: not open on weekends more

Quality suits shirts and ties, terrific fitting, great customer satisfaction 1/8/2007

Alan has been 17 years at his craft. He will help you design your wardrobe, either piece by piece over time or with a major program from the outset. Materials are the same you would find at the top designers yet get custon made fitting vs. off the shelf. WELL WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY.\r \r I have had all my clothes made by Alan for over 10 years. A day does not go by that someone does not make comment about my clothes, whether business suits, casual slacks and sports jacket or formal tuxedo.\r \r Try a few shirts first and you will get hooked.\r \r I have used gift certificates from Alan for people who ""have everything"" more
