OK place for routine animal healthcare. Gives discounts to military and seniors. Doesn't allow you to fill prescriptions using online services such as PetMeds cause I guess they want to make their profit off the higher priced meds they sell themselves. Overall just ok, not great not horrible. more

Great Vet! 5/31/2011

The staff at Alamo Animal Hospital are the better than any vet i have been to. The staff in its entirety are compassionate, helpful, sincere, and overall extremely nice. We have been taking our animals to Alamo Animal Hospital for several years and we will continue to be their patients indefinitely. The vet himself, is one of the greatest people we have ever come across, especially in a field where the nature of the job is not always a happy one. Dr. Dhaliwal will never force you to do anything nor does he quote you the most expensive treatment to try an make a buck. He will suggests several options for treatment doing his best to keep people with lower budgets in mind. He genuinely wants to help pets and their owners. His honesty and compassion is something refreshing in an field that can easily charge you for treatments you "may not understand." One of the many great things about Alamo Animal Hospital is they will explain not only the what of the treatment but the why as well as any more

One of the many great things about Alamo Animal Hospital is they will explain not only the what of the treatment but the why as well as any dangers (which from my experience several vets will not inform you of even the more common dangers). The prices are less than any vet we've been to and even if they weren't we would be glad to pay them as we have not found a better vet to bring our animals to. more

A++++ 1/5/2011

My dog kept seizing and I called EVERY vet in Solano County and none of them would see him right away. I called Alamo Animal Hospital and they took him right in and diagnosed the problem immediately. Plus all the other vets wanted a couple hundred dollars and I only had to pay &62 for them to see my Shadow! Im so glad that my baby is going to be OK! more

liars and theives 11/13/2010

staff is extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone. had my dog spayed here, given instructions to give pain meds for 4 days, but only given 2 days worth of meds, although i paid for 4, when i called and left a message, i never received a follow up call. no apology, no partial refund. i will never go back here. more

Don't try and get an online prescription from Alamo Animal Hospital 6/15/2010

We had been taking our pets there for many years and had thought the doctor was nice. Then our older cat needed a thyroid medicine for the rest of his life that was really expensive from Alamo Animal Hospital. I found it online for one third the price. I asked for a prescription and things went downhill from there. I was given a lot of grief picking up my first prescription and when I came in for another the Vet told me very loudly to take my business elswhere. I of course did, and when we asked for our cats medical records we were told our account was on hold because we owed five dollars for writing the prescription even though I was not asked for any money when I picked it up and was not asked the last time I was in there. To top it off, they wanted $33.00 to pick up copies of the cat's records. more

Poor choice for cancer care. 8/23/2008

Alamo Animal Hospital is fine for routine care of simple, straightforward health issues: administering shots, performing annual exams, dealing with punctures and abrasions, things like that. But if you have an elderly cat with a complex health issue such as cancer, I urge you to take your cat to UC Davis Veterinary teaching hospital instead. \r \r My cat was 17 and had developed several subcutaneous sarcomas. Because X-rays were not done until AFTER the surgical removal of the sarcomas, I did not realize that the surgery was pointless. Apparently, the vet didn't care to find out, and I was too credulous to question whether the pre-surgery workup was all it should have been. The post-surgery X-rays showed that the cancer had already spread to the kidneys and bladder. My cat suffered in agony for a week and a half from the surgery and the undiagnosed kidney and bladder cancer. When pulling the staples from the incisions, the doctor allowed his clearly inexperienced assistant to pull them a more

Alamo Animal Hospital is a very good hospital. The staff is friendly and efficient. We have never had anything but good experiences there. I recommend them to any one looking for a vet. more
